  • The Clone Wars period was a hectic time full of military interventions by the Galactic Republic and Jedi Order. Some of these military actions created a lot more trouble than they actually solved.

    Sometimes early seasons of The Clone Wars looked like a propaganda for the Republic. But gradually it became more and more real.

      The ww2 news reel openings definitely lend to that. But even with that feel in the beginning it'd great additions to the lore.

      WW2 newsreel, with shades of WW1 which started out with everyone thinking it was going to be some grand adventure with glory and honor for all involved...till it became more and more real and nothing like what everyone imagined it to be.
      As the video mentioned the Jedi Order had top tier operators, but the majority of trained Jedi were, to put it bluntly idiots when it came to fieldwork with Genoious alone taking a bite out of their ranks, and the Clone Wars itself accelerating and multiplying the attention rate of Jedi running head first to their deaths.

    0:28 I'd argue that emotions weren't the cause of going to the dark side. It was the Jedi's policies around the Jedi having their emotions mean something that forces them to go outside the Jedi and Republic as a whole for help (Anakin's love for Padme wasn't the final straw for his joining the dark side, it was the Jedi not allowing attachments & relationships which gave him no other choice).

    • @Eric-ch6gq
      @Eric-ch6gq 2 роки тому +10

      Emotions were the core of the issue though, but it was how the Jedi dealt with them that was the problem. That's why Dooku was more a tragic figure than a true villain. He was able to see the reality but Sidious got hold of him and warped his perception enough to turn him.

      Actually the Jedis allowed attachments between the people, but to become a true Jedi you had to give up attachments so you would be wise and avoid bad emotions that would force you to join tyrannical sides only for you to fulfill these emotions… the Jedis prioritized reason over feelings, because reason doesn’t care about your feelings… Jedis understands that the world is composed with feelings and they can’t do nothing against it, but the Jedis understood there are good and bad feelings… to avoid the bad emotions, the Jedis wanted its members to be able to control their emotions so they wouldn’t betray the republic… and that’s the problem with some main protagonists, because they are filled with emotions, that some of these emotions are bad emotions, they end up betraying the good guys… we can see for example eren Yeager in attack on Titans or anakin skywalker in Star Wars, they end up joining the dark side and bad guys at the end but they end also falling and collapsing because the dark side never wins at the end… the reason why they join the dark side is because they are filled with hate and revenge against something, but they join the bad guys because they are blind for not knowing who their true enemies are… even if they were considered the main heroes at the beginning, they are filled with hate and revenge against something they don’t know, and will do everything to avenge it, even if it had to join any side, so their lack of knowledge against the philosophy of the good guys force the main heroes in the first season to become the main villain in the next season… if only they wouldn’t be corrupted by the dark side, they wouldn’t have ended dying…

    1. If a legitimate governor of a place says he's being attacked, you send a strike team. If there was any chance of negotiating with them he should have already exhausted that avenue.
    2. I'm not arguing this, it's obvious deception.
    3. Saw's training didn't cause him to go down his path, it was that he knew the Death Star was being built and the Alliance didn't believe him. I'm not excusing his methods just explaining his perspective.

      1: The Jedi should have confirmed that everything they were telling them was true before attacking.
      2: The Jedi and the Republic knew that the Huks had attacked the Kaleesh and were enslaving them because Grievous asked for their help, they just didn't care until the Huks were in danger of losing.
      3: Training terrorists to expel a nation from a place they are occupying only for those terrorists to start committing non-stop atrocities, what does it remind me of? (Soviet Afghanistan war).

    Timothy Zahn's masterpiece "Outbound Flight" also touched upon the theme of foreign intervention in the same way that George Lucas was doing for "The Clone Wars." Master Jorus C'Baoth and his apprentice Lorana Jinzler are sent on an important mission to mediate a dispute between two factions on the planet of Barlok. With the assistance of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, the Jedi do bring an end to the conflict, but C'Baoth showing his deep-seated arrogance and contempt for non-Force users being out in the open. And, from his view of the talks, Obi-Wan worried that C'Baoth's achievement might not last long, as the terrorist faction that had made an assassination attempt during the negotiations were foiled, yet their sentiments were prominent amongst many of Barlok's populace.

    Boba fett somehow managed to be a secondary character in his own show. I get that he has honor and respect but he was also raised by criminals and worked for them, so surely he cannot be so naive as to expect the other crime lords and criminals to have that same honour.
    I love Boba Fett and all, but he is getting his ass kicked throughout and Fennec has to constantly save him; (I get that he needs to lose every now and again but this is getting ridiculous) she seems to be more knowledgeable and capable than Boba in HIS OWN SHOW.

      Boba Fett is much better than just badass murderous bounty hunter, he is a change man after many events throughout the Clone War, Imperial, the Pit.
      If he keep being the guy you wanted, he wouldn't be the ruler of Mandalorian, he wouldn't forgive Han Solo, wouldn't help the galaxy against the alien

      I know it may be seen as an excuse here but you need to remember that he wasn't at 100% during the first few episodes. He was still undergoing bacta treatments. Even still, he is also much older than is father was when he died and he doesn't move like he once did. Even after being fully healed, living so long after the sarlacc pit without bacta treatments could have resulted in permanent damage that bacta couldn't fix.

    More a curiosity, in the comic shown, Jango is wearing red as his color, why did he change it to blue and what does that really mean?

    • @basedbattledroid3507

      Jango had that armor taken from him when he was sold into slavery.
      The Governor of Galidraan bought his armor and had it refurbished and repainted, then kept it around as a sort of trophy or centerpiece for his office
      Jango got it back later and just stuck with the new shiny blue look.

    You may have some valid points, but your opinion about some os this events are naive and single minded .Like what you say about Saw Gerrera, in the time of the training with Captain Rex and Assoka Tano, in that time he was absolutely NOT a violent guerrilla warrior , but putting the people of Onderon in first and foremost place, that violent behavior comes later, after several events, with both, the separatist alliance and the recently created Galactic Empire .

    the thing that slightly annoys me is that boba, the guy raised by criminals/ led criminals/ worked for criminals is taking advise from a new assassin with barley a reputation on how the criminal world works eg. its her that has the idea that you can hire troops for the gang war and knows where to find them when boba should already know this and have connections with such groups

    What if the new Canon is Ben Solo and Leia\han Solo\ Luke Skywalker with body guard rex visiting Ben Kenobi house with enemy of boba Fett kidnap Ben Solo to giving it to boba Fett with Rex tracking Ben Solo to boba Fett to boba Fett drain Rex blood to extend his like leading to Ben Solo an taste of the dark side!?

  • @TheGarnerjustin73
    @TheGarnerjustin73 2 роки тому +12

    Bobba Fett has historically been portrayed in Canon as a badass, he was raised by Jango the most Feared Bounty Hunter in the Galaxy, his ship is named the Slave 1 or was which is another Woke tragedy and after his fathers death at the hands of a Jedi, he's dealt with nothing but Scumbags, Gangsters, and Backstabbers. So when he's all of a sudden getting his ass by Juvenile Tusken Raiders and recruiting enemies instead of handing out Justice us "Chimp Faced Fans" have a right to be angry because its just Disney pushing out more Woke Garbage and while it is fair to Argue the Snarlac pit may have changed him emotionally, claiming this because he's Confident in himself and not insecure, i'd argue you're pushing the same garbage in an attempt to try to Justify Disney's slaughtering of this classic character. The actor who portrays Bobba agree's his character was pretty Castrated in the show.
