  • Capt. Jack Sprengel and Capt. Max Dispoto describe the different trolling techniques they deploy when fishing for yellowfin and bluefin tuna offshore. Expanding upon the Shimano tackle systems they use in different offshore fishing situations (Episode 1 of the Terez BW Full Roller Series), these two die-hards go to great lengths to explain the lures, teasers, terminal tackle, and trolling spread for yellowfin and bluefin tuna when fishing out of a center console. And while building an effective trolling spread using outriggers and planers is very important, Sprengel and Dispoto also demonstrate how to work the cockpit when a fish is hooked to ensure the fish is not lost during the fight.

Love the presentation. Was wondering about the swivels your using: what are they called? Are you able to wind these onto your reel?

These were 48" MH. In upcoming episodes, we'll put the 48" H to work when chunking for yellowfin and the XH for giant bluefin on stand-up. In the final episode of the Full Roller series, we'll use the 83" XH for giants fought out of the gunnel

Very weak fishing rod. What happens with a 500kg bluefin ?. It will not even know its been hooked !

It’s not meant for that size bluefin you dunce. They make a different rod for giants
