Fantastic video. Armenia’s been on my travel go-to list ever since I was in school, and this has to be the best video I’ve seen of the capital city. I know a couple of people there too, and one is now a pastor with the Armenian Orthodox Church.
Don't you have anything better to say? Coca Cola? Armenian Republic dates back to 1918 you moron......and please don't start with whole fucking "tigran the great" shit its overused and does not make sense
@Yaneggi X you are wrong it's confirmed to be the first nation ever to descend from planet Hayastan and teach humans how to use fire) putting the jokes aside...confirmed by whom? Armenian monks translating Greek texts? or American historians with Armenian surnames(later changed to more Anglo-Saxonian for more neutrality), first Christian nation is considered County/Kingdom of Edessa it was done way before armenians(301,314 or 338 no one knows the exact date) by king Agbar V, he exchanged letters with Jesus and is considered by serious historians to be the first government that accepted Christianity, after him Ethiopians are considered 2nd Christian kingdom ask yourself why Armenian Alphabet resembles Ethiopian so much) stop reading from Wikipedia and watching tik tok videos that's not peer-reviewed and scientific
@Yaneggi X so? if Britannica wrote it means its ultimate truth? history is often erroneous, same Britannica and most of historian community can not wrap their heads around most of the pre-1500 AD events yet alone "who was first". So please stop posting links to websites that suit your narrative of history and read other sources as well
@Yaneggi X Officially confirmed by whom? Jesus Christ? or did you travel through eons of human history using time machine and you have hard proof that no one can argue against?! Armenia being first Christian nation is a nice tourist trap, cliché made for people like you, who rely on first page of google searches and tik tok videos to get their historical information, who is the first Christian nation is highly debated in scholarly circles and to be honest not of that historical importance, except for Armenians no one really cares, for Armenians its a matter of "pride", because of current insignificance in politics they try to tell everyone "araaa we are the first Christians". Keep on daydreaming while others are building their countries and economies, keep making fun of Azerbaijan we are already ahead of you in pretty much everything and yeah, you even managed to screw up with Qarabagh and now its back to its real owners)
The Soviets almost entirely destroyed the wine industry in Armenia and replaced it with brandy production. Good news is that in the last decade the wine industry is blooming again. It has still a long way to go to become a major wine producer but quality is amazing.
raffi art thanks for the confirmation. I was in Yerevan 3 years ago and I loved it. The wine was over my expectations. I was in Tuscany few years back for wine testing, and I would say yes Armenia could develop the wine industry big time. I miss it, going this summer again.
David, You need to educate yourself on which / when to swirl wine glass. Shouldn't do it all the time. Check wine oxidation. Wines are not supposed to be gulped. Are you really keen to taste wine or just making videos? Think.
it is not true dolma is turkish food I want to shout all world have to know this dolma ,lule, kabab, lavash and oter food is not Armenie food they are old Turkish food Turkish Turkish
Turks are nomads , how do you imagine running agriculture, if you are not settled in one place ? And don't tell me that you have no idea whose land you temporary occupy
Oh please don’t lecture us about the names of food!!!...Armenians were living in this region looooong before Turks came around!! If anything the Turks adopted these dishes from the local Armenians. So please give it a rest!!

But your probably gonna say that this is false propaganda as well right??? Of course!! And failed??? To bounce back & hold on to what was nearly destroyed & thrive!! This is not failure this is indomitability. Armenia is ancient. History is a testament to this fact. The Turkic tribes only gained a foothold in Anatolia in the 8th to 9th centuries!! Because the Turks were indigenous to Anatolia so obviously everything that comes from that region including dolma...MUST be Turkish.

Food, yes, of course, but Armenian wine? What is it? I've never heard of it.
GK1967. Yes one of the best wine. I did not believe it in the beginning.
The Soviets almost entirely destroyed the wine industry in Armenia and replaced it with brandy production. Good news is that in the last decade the wine industry is blooming again. It has still a long way to go to become a major wine producer but quality is amazing.

This slurping kills as well as the ignorance for pronouncing names, even human names at least somewhat correct. Very annoying and ignorant approach

Remember you stole some stuff from us and then everyone knows that lavash is Armenian and dolma you can't deny that
Lavash, kebab, tolma Armenian food
When Armenia was making good native Anatolian food Turks were runing around hungry in stepps of Central Asia
