Osu! This game is based from Vol.1 to Vol 15 of the comic from what I remember. Was set after his big battle with Jinrai and his near death experience after which made Takagi move to Tokyo, away from all the youth gangs in Osaka. Also anybody who is interested in this shonen comic, I think someone is doing a fan translation of it. Can probably find it in any online manga. Quite a good fan translation. Osu!
+hanchiman I will have to check it out. Had my eyes on this game for my show for a while, and a little bit of reading up would be a good idea. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
+escaperoutebritish If you check around in UA-cam, I think someone uploaded the OVA's unless UA-cam took it down, the only way to find it is apparently in file sharing though. Also they made a Live Action movie of this as well during the 90's with ridiculous eyebrows and hairstyle. :D Anyways a quick synopsis is that, the very first volume, the lead character is not Takagi. He is just a side character, instead the first volume focus on two losers who joined up the "Karatebu" with Takagi as the club Captain, but due to popularity of Takagi among the reader, he become the comic main star beginning at Vol.2 Was supposed to be a comedy manga, but it slowly turned serious though starting in Vol.8 Also the earliest volumes, the artwork is really bad and amaturish, the author only managed to improve his drawing in later volumes. Like volume 10
+Rory McCallum Culture Brain used to make very good fighting games. You take the Hiryu no Ken series for Example. Another great games from them is the SD Hiryu no Ken (I think it was called Golden Fighter outside Japan). Very nice game. Osu is great. I would really love if he had finished the last boss with the new super technique.
+Rory McCallum Oh, you're welcome. Try to search for these games, if you want to see more. There were really cool graphics back then. I'm just a old school gamer from Brasil who is very nostalgic, lol

Marcos Aloísio de Abreu I definitely will brother, thanks a million. Nothing like old school
The coding is awful, though. That ruins the final result, sadly.
man Takagi looks a lot older in this game, can't believe that he's 17
Looks like Franco Bash
I have no idea what the hell went on, but it looks cool.
I translated the manga and EXACTLY the same fights as volumes 1-15
s7rugg1es you translated them? Great job, I loved reading it.
Que nostalgia, já faz uns 15 anos que joguei esse jogo pela ultima vez, me divertia muito. Vlw por essa lembrança! 😊
+1 aqui. Fita piratona nunca consegui matar o ultimo chefe. 😂
Impressive voice samples for a 16bit game from '94!
I have no idea what's going on, so I'm just gonna call this one The Adventures of Manly Mustache in Making Young Girls Cry.
😂😂😂
I always wondered what street fighter would be like with only moves that were actually physically possible to do.
Looks like yu yu hakusho
Mixed with some early snk games
Kenny Lauderdale brought me here.
Also how the fuck is there VOICE ACTING in this?!
Never seen this game but I want to play it

OSU!
Looks good for an Art of Fighting/Fatal Fury ripoff
augcrn what you know about that River City Ransom fool?
That's like saying that Street Fighter 1 is a ripoff of Karate Champ because of Ryu and Ken being simulair to the 2 karate people.
@@sosvanburito3000 Or saying Street Fighter is a Shanghai Kid ripoff because the main character has a hurricane kick, maybe?
Too much kanji!
