Well, in a deleted scene with recorded audio, we actually hear Felix refer to Alma's room as "Abuela's room," so they probably do. Since she is considered the leader and most respected person in the household, it wouldn't surprise me. Then again, I don't know whether or not they would refer to her as that when they were kids or not.

Actually that raises a question: when did they discover what Julieta’s gift was? Was she great at cooking ever since she was five? I know her gift is symbolic of her gentle, caring, mother theme, but it just seems like a very specific power, especially if she got this power when she was only five years old
She prob was really into helping people and trying to cure them by giving them plasters and stuff
My theory is that Camilo loved to mimic people and Isabella loved gardening and specifically flowers Luisa prob liked helping family and forgot everyone else's name sjdhejdhe

But just imagine the relief Dolores had when their gifts went away (after the Casita broke), for a couple hours she didn't have to hear EVERYTHING going on ALL OVER town. She was probably so happy, which is why I think she was having so much fun to be honest. Dolores was speaking louder than usual and was more expressive. :)

I don't understand why people think she didn't get a gift. She got the gift of becoming the next family matriarch because Abuelo's spirit (in the form of Casita) saw her unfiltered love and acceptance for all in her family without any expectations.

When i watched encanto for the first time i did wonder if his door was always in the corner or if his door moved when he left.
They did call it Bruno’s tower. So I’m thinking when Bruno got his door, a tower just sprung up and the door went to it
What I imagined is that Bruno’s room moved or grew a tower because his gift needs “space” (yes I know Antonio’s room is like infinite but maybe Bruno’s gift specifically needed a tower). At the start there probably wasn’t a designed area for bedrooms, since it was just abuela & her three kids so another alternative is each one chose the area of the house they wanted? With this second theory, maybe Julieta chose her room closest to the kitchen.
The fact that Bruno called his mother “Abuela” makes me concerned on what is going on in Lovehood’s head…..
He does it in the movie too! I can't remember exactly when, but he does. it might be that the name Abuela is used by the entire family to refer to her because she's a grandmother, or like how parents will sometimes say "grandma" when referring to their own parents because they're talking to their kid.

One headcanon is that there are fireworks at every door ceremony thing and so Dolores actually deaf In one ear because of the fireworks at her ceremony. Because she has super hearing it didn’t effect her so much but she covers her ears just from that incident.
