For everyone slandering these guys, the doors did do performances with the "talk" at the beginning. The lyrics come from texas radio and the big beat, a song first preformed as a segue into many songs, which later evolved into the wasp, the penultimate song on LA woman. So before everyone continues complaining about it, you have to consider the fact that this is far more accurate than going on stage and covering the doors' greatest hits.

He sounded like Capt Kirk when talking. Singing voice is ok. Dave Brock is better.
I saw The Doors in concert at the Long Beach Arena in January or February 1970 after Morrison Hotel was released. Morrison was really great that night and pretty much behaved himself. After ending the concert with "The End" they were called back for an encore that last almost 2 hours. What a concert!! What great times!! I'll 74 in a couple of months and I still love to listen to my Doors albums.
Whats your favourite album, I kinda feel LA woman was the best thing they ever created, in saying that I don't necessarily believe they would have continued to improve with Jim if they were able too, Jim was burnt out ////////////////////////////////////////////////////ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I was at your gig in Aschaffenburg last night and I was blown away by your great performance. You are the best and most authentic tribute band I have seen so far.....and I have seen a lot of different tribute bands. See you at Beavers Club in November again.

A really nice Doors cover band. But the emphasis ought to be on the "Cover" aspect of their project. Don't try to lift The Doors actual identity, in a manner of speaking. They should never confuse themselves with actualities of "Door-dom", because of the obvious reason of their ages and the point in time we're at. I saw The Doors 4 times from 1967 until 1971 just shortly before Jim died. These guys would never actually be confused with The Doors live act because their music was organic, being fueled by the 4 very different individuals in the band. They were creating. There's a difference in creating and imitating. Something about it just doesn't seem the same, no matter how good a tribute band is.
Was lucky enough to get to hang out with Ray for a couple of days in the mid-70's for a promotional gig I was doing for his label. Real nice guy. I think that this band needs an identifier so that you can tell the 2 bands apart on paper or online. There are certain bad names to call your band, when it comes to the ease of finding them online. Avoid confusion. For example, it's hard to look up stuff on the band just called "LIVE" or even the band that is called "THE BAND". It's an administrative nightmare and a filing problem. Just change some little something. For one, I agree with the person who didn't think you should use their exact logo on your bass drum head. And call yourselves The Doors Today or something just different enough to avoid confusion. You do a great job on the music.
Copy that. It's just surprising to see a band so devoted to getting is as close as they have. They deserve some cudos and credit.
I tend to think it's more than just an act. I think they do appreciate not just the sound and feel of the original Doors but also try hard to get the magic, spontaneity and the more subconscious art and sublicense of the original band. You know like great actors do. They have to get inside the character.
Val Kilmer was good but the Oliver Stone script was an insult especially to Jim.
This remember me The doors of the 21 st century with Ian Astbury, but never the originals doors!!

These so-called Doors are okay for a second rate cover band, but they don't compare to the real Jim Morrison, Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek or real The Doors, and they butchered Love Me Two Times, too!
