  • Deliver the hog fat or die trying!
Bruce is a trucker who works the hog fat lines between Earth and the Titan Station. He’s content with his life but a bit lonely. A month away from the Titan Station Bruce picks up Max, an easily bored automation engineer with a broken shuttle. As Max is about to go crazy from space boredom they receive a strange distress call. Soon they discover a huge dark object on a collision course. Bruce and Max must risk everything to survive their deadly encounter and deliver the hog fat.
A full length sci-fi feature film by Anton Doiron.
Kind of like what Star Wars and Star Trek would be like without any budget.
A funny low budget space adventure
Has been compared to Dark Star and Red Dwarf
References to Alien, Star Wars, 2010, Dune, and tons of other popular sci-fi movies.

So much heart in this little thing. This short hits those sweet notes Hollywood can't hear anymore, whose productions make so much noise, yet still put one to sleep.

Way better than I expected! I have the feeling that space travel probably is more similar to Bruce's experience than any Star Trek type of thing. Hope there is a sequel.

Seriously this is exactly what I needed in my life at this moment. This is what happens when you just throw yourself into something creative for a really long time and follow it through to the end. Thank you for making this. congratulations on finishing it. Wow thanks! My new movie is still in post production and has taken 6 years so far and probably another 2 to go. Sticking with long projects can be tough but rewarding. Learning to make a daily habit of working on the movie and not giving in to too much TV or other shiny objects is difficult. It takes a while to do all the parts of a movie project when you have a really small crew especially when you have sets and space scenes!

    • @ATreacherousFoe
      @ATreacherousFoe 3 роки тому +5

@@AntonDoiron It really is so hard to follow through and finish projects. Especially if you're raising kids and paying bills. Just goes to show what a small budget, but incredible ingenuity, tech toys and duct tape can do. A good story needs no Hollywood CGI; if the ship hung from visible strings, wobbled because of it, and rocket fire tried to bend up 90 degrees coming out the back, it would still be fun to watch.

I'd love to make a sequel but currently all my energy and time is going into my new project "Hidden Spaceship". It's a different story but similar sets and humor. Check out the Facebook page at facebook.com/GirlYetiSpaceship/

Ok, that project looks good too. I guess I'll just have to be patient. Have you seen The Gamers: Dorkness Rising. The Gamers is the first movie but The Gamers: Dorkness Rising was better. Hand of Fate is not a sequel but continues the story. You independent movie makes compete with Hollywood anytime. I can't get enough.

Anton, if u get this, please make a sequel. It could be a continuation where they go to find the source of the carbonada. I thot when I first saw this, it was a Hollywood production. Imagine my shock when I found out this was a home made film with a ten thousand dollar budget and cardboard set. You are completely amazing, Mr. Doiron, and would bet my retirement checks that I’m not alone when I say I would like to see more of space trucker Bruce. Congratulations on a fine film.

Thanks! I'm making a new movie called "Girl, Yeti, and a Spaceship". it's not really related although it has a lot of the same actors. I might make a sequel in the future. There's more story to tell for sure. What caused the fire on the ghost ship? what did he mean in the transmission when he said "it's here!" Will Mr and Miss Sour Cream take over the ship? Lots of questions for sure!

Sigh! What does it say about my life that I watched the whole thing and was mostly entertained... For what it is, it's a pretty good effort. It's creative and humorous with bad acting and - creative - props and scenery. It tells a story, I watched it and was entertained. It's a movie. Not terrible, just kinda bad... in a good(?) way... Thanks guys and good job.

great syfy comedy, from the whip cream and duct tape to patch the holes, to crashing into Titan station, and when leaving Titan Station, after the one ship captain called your ship a piece of crap then dumping the sewage and it lands on the other ship was priceless. Well done, you really need to do a second adventure going to get the Carbonato (which I found out is an actual word). I'm sure you guys can come up with more comedy on that adventure, especially around Uranus.

The first for five times I tried to watch this I couldn’t get past 15 minutes thought it stunk big-time. But now 40 times later it’s one of my favorite movies. This movie won’t win any Academy Awards. But it still took a lot of time and effort with the cardboard gray paint and duck tape. And a creative mind. They could leave the sinful cursing when they take the name of Jesus/God and use it as a cuss word.

This is a fine example of how a cool movie can be made with almost zero budget. It's funny. And it took a lot of work. Of course it's not as good as the other professional movies. But it's so excellent compared to what others do with the same resorces.

I saw the title and had to Check it out. I really wasn't expecting it to be as entertaining or funny has it was, I nearly fell out of my chair laughing after Bruce first started talking to Mr sour cream. It's an Instant classic for me. I love a good independent film. I was really hoping to find another movie but looks like your busy with other projects. I'd dig a sequel or something else with you and Bruce. Good chemistry there.
