I’m visiting in June from the USA thanks to Venerable Nick Keomahavong. I can’t wait! Thank you for sharing, this really answered a lot of my questions.
I am planning to come in spring 2023. Wondering how people deal with not having dinner. My blood sugar can drop fast if I don’t have dinner and pass out possible.
Hi, there is no obligation in not having dinner, the fridge is always open and there are also fruits you can have anytime. Even the monks sometimes get hungry aha
There is no program, there's one introduction session. Otherwise, you stay as long as you want. It's on a donation basis, you give as much as you want :))
Sadhu sadhu. The town name is Pa Pae, an hour from Chiang Mai, Thailand, you can find it easily on Google Maps. I included the link in the description :))

Yes it is, about an hour from Chiang Mai on the road to Pai, in the North of Thailand
Wow , than you, for how many weeks or days??
I was there only for a couple of days 😊
🙏💙
I’d like to go but I can’t sleep in a dorm on a wooden bed. I would end up sleep deprived and it would distract from my meditation
There are private rooms 🙌 eyemasks and earplugs can help too :))
“ Pai International Meditation Center “

No need for the music.
Absolutely true🙏
Tibet Buddhist dont ask for food. Thats good. Its very not Buddhism to ask other for food like Theravada
Thank you for sharing 🙏
Originally in Buddha period, monks asked for food.
This is traditional life.
@@Amrapali536 wrong. Its Teravadha Thai tradition
@@swedendive Actually, monks are supposed to ask for food. They need to accept whichever household donate them.
They don't ask for food. They go on alms rounds. Like the Buddha.
