    For example 2, I replaced sec^2(x) with 1 + tan^2(x) for a final answer of 2tan^2(x) +1. It seems more simplified to have only 1 trig function in the final answer.

    I dont think sin is equal to sinx/1 i think its 1/csc

      sinx/1 is the same thing as sinx, but in fraction form. he used the fraction form to show how it simplifies with the other terms.
