Hey, I'm late to the party but I just wanted to chime in. You can also order a sukajan via White Rabbit Express, a company based in Japan who will order pretty much anything for you from there. You can choose any website or store you want, copy the URL and give them information about the item and they'll take care of the rest. Obviously that sounds sketchy, but I did a lot of research and saw nothing but good things about them. I just ordered a sukajan through them from a website I found for a shop who makes these jackets in Japan. It's a bit of a struggle navigating through the website in Japanese, but that's what Google translate is for! I highly suggest anyone who wants a sukajan or anything else from Japan to check them out, as you know you're getting the real deal!
I bought 2 from them awhile back for around 100-200+ and I gotta say they are honestly worth more than what I paid. Silk jacket with beautiful elaborately stitched designs on them. Just make sure you order 1-2 sizes larger as they measure in Asian size and are likely to be too small for your actual size.
@@sergeantruckus1413 I've looked at their website. I know they also suggest one or two sizes larger, the question is should I get one size larger or two sizes larger? Realistically how do they fit, and have any sizes larger did you order yours?

Hey! Glad you liked the video! Your english is fine, I totally understand what you mean! It's a good question. One thing you should be aware of is that good sukajan don't use patches. The designs are woven in with a special weaving technique. In terms of finding plain jackets, go have a look at my guide on my website here: www.gamingfortheweekend.com/japanese-souvenir-jacket-buying-guide/ and look under the where to buy section. Rakuten is probably your best bet, but I'll have a look later and see what I can find.
Gaming For The Weekend ooooh thank you Very much for answering me, I loved your website and took a look at your colection and it's amazing !!! So, I took a look too in the where to buy part and It is too expensive for me :/, so I watched some videos and saw how hard it's to make the hand-embroided drawings, it's literally a piece of art, and I Will have one for sure in the future, but it's too expensive for me now, even the cheaper ones because US$ 1,00 = BR$ 4,00, so i'm trying to make one for me inspired in the originals ones that are amazing, and looking at them seems to me that the jackets follow the same patterns, but the hand-embroided changes, so do u know any websites that sells Just the jacket without the hand-embroided drawings ??
Feel free to give me an example and I can tell you what I think! I'd be careful about ones from China. I ordered one and the quality wasn't as good as my ones from Japan. Funnily enough many of the base jackets for Japanese sukajan brands are made in China, but they are a higher quality jackets. The ones sold unbranded are low quality. At least in my experience

Amazing, really informative!! I would like to know the best price point to get a good material and shape for sukajan... Are the $200 vs $400+ have a different kind a material, or just pay for design?
Thanks Anthony, glad it helped you! Generally, yeah, the difference between a $200 and say a $600 jacket will mostly be design. The more intricate the design, the more time it takes to make the jacket. For Vintage jackets (second hand ones) the rarity of a design also increases the price, but so does the condition of the jacket, which is something you don't have to think about with new jackets. If you simply want a sukajan style jacket that's good quality, but not too expensive, check out Rakuten, search for Sukajan and look for the Tailor Toyo ones. JapanLoverMe is the best place for rare cool designs. You can see the designs for Toyo here www.toyo-enterprise.co.jp/tailor_toyo/index.html
also, go and check out jackets by Satori: www.sukajack.com/brands/SATORI.html?sort=priceasc or Toyo: www.sukajack.com/brands/TAILOR-TOYO.html and alternatively, anything on Japanloverme for vintage jackets. there will be a large amount of choice for under 400 in the sale section: japanloverme-store.com/sale/
Look at the sizing part of the video :) I explain how to find the right size. measurements rather that conventional sizes because Japanese sizes are different than western ones

So this is a vintage jacket that I got from Japan Lover Me. I think they've gone out of business sadly and I'm not sure where you can find a jacket similar. Where did you get your Sukajan in the beggining of the video?
Hey! Japan Lover Me
I loved the video !!! And seems that u understand a lot about It, so could u help me please ???? I really want to make my own jacket but I can't find where to buy Just the jacket, without the patches, all the jackets seems to me made from a normal satin bomber jacket, so where can i buy It without the patches so i can put It by my own? Is There any site that sells It for a cheap price??? Thankkk youuu and ( Sorry for my bad english I don't spek It Very well), I tried my best to be understandable.
And that sells online to other countrys hahah we don't have those in Brazil
And also If u know any site that sells cool patches for a cheap price I really really would apreciate It ^^
There are Sukajans in eBay but unbranded from china, they are good quality? They are expensive but I am afraid, please help me.
At least in my experience
here: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sukajan-Souvenir-Jacket-REVERSIBLE-Japanese-Pattern-Embroidered-Dragon-Phoenix/173315331747?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=472026156343&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
its good quality?
I think it will look good, but again, the quality may not be the best. It's a gamble
Gaming For The Weekend cool! do you have any brand recommendation for around $200 and $400..
Really appreciate the answer
Definitely go check out the links here, in the where to buy section. www.gamingfortheweekend.com/japanese-souvenir-jacket-buying-guide/
also, go and check out jackets by Satori: www.sukajack.com/brands/SATORI.html?sort=priceasc or Toyo: www.sukajack.com/brands/TAILOR-TOYO.html and alternatively, anything on Japanloverme for vintage jackets. there will be a large amount of choice for under 400 in the sale section: japanloverme-store.com/sale/
I have one question, how is the sizes ? I medium a normal medium or is it mich smaller then a regular medium ?
Look at the sizing part of the video :) I explain how to find the right size. measurements rather that conventional sizes because Japanese sizes are different than western ones
Gaming For The Weekend Hello, im 1,73 long and do a large fit me if not that sizes ate showing.
Hey man, could you tell me where you got the jacket at 9:46 ? The red Koi. It’s fucking fly, I’ve been trying to get my hands on it for years now. I could find a picture of it but I reverse searched and nothing came up other than dead Pinterest links
So this is a vintage jacket that I got from Japan Lover Me. I think they've gone out of business sadly and I'm not sure where you can find a jacket similar. You can probably find a Koi design easily enough in Chinese lower quality jackets, but outside of that your best bet is likely trying your luck on second hand platforms like etsy
@@gamingfortheweekend5490 ah damn that’s tragic, I looked at Japan Lover Me and thought it was just a short maintenance. Anyways thanks for the quick response!
My shirts seem to all be longer than my sukajan but the next size is only 3 centimeters longer.
yeah, they're not particularly long jackets. I've had the same experience, especially as a tall person
What is this one 17:00 q\with the bunnies and the dragon and phoenix. Name or link?
I'm honestly not sure of the brand. I looked at the tag but unfortunately it's in Japanese, so I can't read it. Google lensed it and didn't get anything useful either. It's a fairly rare design, so I think finding an exact copy will be difficult tbh. Sorry I can't be more helpful
@@gamingfortheweekend5490 darn that sucks
@@dakuoni7510 Yeah I know! For what it's worth here's the link to the original listing on JLM Store. No mention of the brand. Does anyone know any good website where they sell embroidered jackets?
I cover a bunch in the video, but I bought a bunch of mine from Japanloverme. Etsy and eBay are decent places to look too. Alternatively if you want new ones, rakuten sells a bunch from propers brands like Toyo
Avoid places like Koisea that are dropshippers for low quality jackets
@@gamingfortheweekend5490 thanks bro ive been struggling trying to find a good reliable website other than amazon that sells true to size jackets
@@gamingfortheweekend5490 and ive seen koisea and saw the reviews of satisfied customers of good looking jackets but are they legit?
@@skxlter5747 No problem. I'd definitely look to Rakuten for new jackets and places like Etsy for vintage, just be sure to filter by vintage/pre-owned. Unfortunately Japan Lover Me seems to be having issues. As for Koisea, from everything I've seen they're drop-shippers that sell cheap Chinese jackets that I've seen on aliexpress. By all means try them out if you'd like, but I'd be cautious
Japanloverme site doesnt work ?
Yeah they closed down. RIP JLM. Would suggest one of the other sites that I've mentioned in the video.
Sukajan yankee

so uh do you know where to buy a Tokko-fuku (Bosozoku jacket) because I really WANT ONE
@@scrumcouscake4454 sorry , i don't even have one ;(
Kinda scared to buy a jacket from Japan lover me cause it says not secure site
I've bought from them a few times and have never had any issues, but that's just my experience. Hope that helps!
Is Koisea a legit webside to shop at?
In short, I don't think so no. You can find the same jackets and even same photos used on Aliexpress so I think they're just drop shippers. I've bought one of these jackets before to test the quality and it was bad. Very bad.
So what size do you normally wear?
JLM!! Are they still running? Because it has been a week and my order is still on awaiting fulfilment and i have even send an email and no respond. Just wanted to know if anyone has purchased recently.
Yo I’m having the same problem. I ordered from them months ago, and was in correspondence and then they just suddenly stopped responding. They sent pictures of everything showing my shipment was all packed and ready to go. They gave me a shipping number that doesn’t register. Then they said Japan has blocks on shipment right now and that’s why it isn’t shipping. However during quarantine I’ve ordered numerous things from Japan and they’ve all been shipped and arrived promptly. They stopped posting on Instagram, and there are some comments from people saying they’re a scam. They also used to have an Etsy page, which it seems has since disappeared. I’m afraid we may have been duped, my friend. Hoping I can file with my bank if this is the case!
Have you recieved your jacket yet?
@@ackdolfphitlervonburnellis851 yeah man!! It took like 3 months to get tho. If you have ordered one i would check what’s your country status on delivery of parcel from japan because mine was on hold for a while.
@@matimroharibahadur3001 Thank you for your response, man! I should definitely check it out! Again, thank you so very much! Also where are you from so I have an idea how long it takes?
@@ackdolfphitlervonburnellis851 UK. As long as they have send you email regarding your parcel being dispatched and them tracking number you’re all good pal. Btw tracking number doesn’t work so don’t bother tracking
How about Koisea Sukajan? Good? Or na
Mostly na. Koisea are basically cheap Chinese produced jackets. I bought one before and the embroidery is like a big patch as opposed to actual embroidery and the fit was terrible. If you want to buy something to hang on a wall as decoration not bad otherwise avoid
@@gamingfortheweekend5490 after i read this. Im cancel my order at Koisea. So, where i can buy sukajan under $150?
@@AaronGybran I'd recommend second hand retail platforms. Both Etsy and Ebay are worth a shot. Search for sukajan and make sure you untick 'new' items in your search options so you're getting used / second hand choices. Japanloverme also has a bunch under 150, although most of the good stuff is more expensive
@@graemedutoit7432 wow. Thx you 👏
I think JLM might be a scam. Ordered from them months ago and no word. Seems other people are having trouble as well.
Yeah they've been dark on socials for a while. They definitely weren't a scam as I bought a bunch of jackets from them. I'll contact them and see if I can make any headway
@@gamingfortheweekend5490 yeah they ghosted all customers two years ago and socials went quiet it’s a scam. Spent hundreds on jackets I never received with no word. Lots of similar stories in their comments.
@@MoodIndigo64 that's such a shame. They were legitimately so good to deal with when I bought from them. I ordered from them 3 times, but this was in 2018/2019
Are they warm though?
Depends on the jacket. Ones with minimal stitching, less so. My jackets with lots of stitching though are fairly warm. I wouldn't wear them out in zero degree weather, but would wear them out in most weather I'd use my leather jackets for. If that makes sense.

I think febuary last year,it was cold as shit.

Much more likely dropshippers of low quality jackets.

Yeah, I recently updated the description of the video, but: 2021: I had great experiences with the team at Japan Lover Me, but it seems their busines has been a casualty of the pandemic. For vintage Sukajan I still recommend checking out Etsy/Ebay, and also sites like Grailed. For new sukajan, Rakuten is the best bet.
@@gamingfortheweekend5490 For me, the best place to shop for an original sukajan would be Toyo Enterprise, the downside is that it doesn't ship internationally, neither does Rakuten. Therefore the best option for is Hinoya Shop. Too bad with JLM Store, even though they inflated their prices, they had good jackets ...
Tbh, Sukajans suits asians way more than any other races.
