i do have a few nice kits as well as a few of the hum drum. sorry bud the Champagne kit is on ice for the time being, will be done eventually though, if its any consolation it looks an absolute pig to build, lots of tiny tiny decals.
Hi Andy. These are nice little kits and you get two, bonus. These trailers would have been commonally seen behind a Sd Kfz 10 half track.Especially the one with the 2cm flak on the back, they are primerilly ammunition trailers. I don,y know if you noticed but the chassis for the trailer was also the trailer for the same 2cm flak gun as well. There are two hooks at the end of the arms and a locking pin at the front of the trailer which enabled the gun to be deposited on the ground and picked up again for transport. The Horch with the twin anti air guns on board would work and also the Krupp Protze small six wheel truck would suit. The two Steyr's would be unlikely but not impossible. The Jeeps also would be unlikely as they had their own dedicated trailer for the job. The SAS Jeep would also be unlikely unless it was war booty. None the lessI suppose anything is possible in war so you do what please's you. You have two so why not do one prototypically and one as a what if so to speak. Italeri do three different types of Sd.Kfz 10s including one with the 2cm flak. The Horch could also mount the 2cm flak as well so maybe you could hitch it up to that if you get the Tamiya kit of the gun. Anyway these kits will always be useful. I think that the cannisters in the trailer are 2cm flak shell holders. I hope some of this helps innyour future build of these models. Good luck. I look forward to seeing you finish off some of the Rising Sun aircraft. Regards.
Hi Brian whilst i appreciate you superior knowledge on the subject, i think the reality here is in times of war you use the the equipment available to best serve the requirements at the time. If we go back to the original suggestion of using the 3 ICM Einhatz pkw's with the trailers, if you have 3 SDKFZ 10's with mounted 2cm flak and trailers in a fixed defensive position and you want to tootle back for supplies; do you remove the SDKFZ's with their trailers and offensive/defensive armaments or do you attach the trailers to the Einhatz's send them back and return with extra ammo? If 2 of your SDKFZ 10's are knocked out but one remains do you then abandon the 2 trailers of the inoperable SDKFZ 10's or do you hitch them up to anything with a tow bar and skedaddle because they have ammo in them. The same situation applies to any or all equipment, the commander is not going to insist that the correct transport turns up to try to save a valuable piece of artillery, he will use whatever means possible to transport his troops and gear into or out of danger whilst maintaining the best offensive or defensive capabilities of his unit. In other words he is hardly likely to turn away a Steyr 1500a to tow away his 2cm and insist on waiting for a Horch, with the Russians cresting the hill.
Andy, you're going to be busy when you get these 1/35 kits started. Nice looking Italleri kits, I don't see them that much, might have to check them out Cheers, Bob
Hi Bob, i think they are generally on par with the older Tamiya's, quite a few Italeri's are also re-boxed as Tamiya and vice versa, are they not so available your side of the water?
@@TheNoviceModeller some of the "new" kits are starting to become available - my local "hobby" shop is mostly RC, so I rely on Internet, which is working out reasonably well, I just need to get to some multiple kit builds going and start downsizing my stash - lately it's been more interesting to buy, especially kits that are quick sellers for future builds. I occasionally get hooked on eBay and have found some great nostalgic stuff.
Hi Andy agin. Those magazines are not to clear to see but they look like the curved magazines that go on a Flakweirling four gun 2cm anti aircraft guns. Its a shame that Italeri don,t do these little trailers in 1 72 scale, they would be very useful to us small scale modellers. Good luck bud.
Hi Alan, The Matchbox Spitfire is a nice kit, though unfortunately i consigned mine to be part of the Dirty Dozen, oooops. I haven't made any progress on them yet as have been doing Bank Holiday type things, though will be getting on with stuff tomorrow, mainly trying to get finished my Land of the Rising Sun kits, the Dirty Dozen will have to wait until my next 4 days off, when i will no doubt be getting putty and filler all over the place in addition to my normal habit of splattering paint everywhere. Enjoy your build.
A collection of very nice kits there, think the champagne 🍸🍸 kit deserves a look👀👀

Well if you struggle to get any of the Euro kits, let me know i'm sure we could sort something out.
@@TheNoviceModeller Thanks Andy, that is a possibility as I learn more about overseas kits through you videos - Cheers Bob

after trying to paint 3x 1/72 pilots i admire your ability to build 1/72 military but i dont think i could ever deal with the size
How's the dirty dozen coming along...any finished yet?...
I'm making the Matchbox Spitfire nice kit 👍
