Vlatko Stefanovski ( Leb i sol ) and Tocak ( Smak ) are the best, no disrespect to all others but, you have every year guitar fest in Serbia, Nis. Festival is called Nishville, try to check it out, Stefanovski often plays there, guitars in all flavors

Many Yugoslav bands recorded in London during the 70s, as far as Riblja Corba is concerned, they recorded their third album in 1981 with producer and bassist John McCoy who came to produce their album in Belgrade, delighted with the band, he did several more albums with the group.
Number 9 , of album " uspavanka za Radmilu M " from Bijelo Dugme is playing Vlatko Stefanovsk ( Leb i Sol ) from Macedonia ( Yugoslavia ), he was a quest on their record.
Actualy, the backing guitars are by Vlatko. Lead guitar is by Goran

No9 is written by Goran Bregovic , but played by Vlatko Stefanovski (Leb i Sol) on original studio track . Funny thing , but they both are still alive,kicking and performing 50 years later .
Vlatko Stefanovski played guitar in the song that should to represent Goran Bregovic. It was "Uspavanka za Radmilu M."
Vedran Bozic, from group Time, must be on list.

RAJKO KOJIĆ, the late guitarist from RIBLJA ČORBA was a great guitar player. When he left the band,i lost interest,i never bought their record again. My favorites are VLATKO STEFANOVSKI and TOČAK,but the most elegant one was SLOBODAN "BODO" KOVAČEVIĆ from the band INDEXI (Sarajevo). He played on numerous records, he was famous session player. If you like your rock more raw,i recomend ANTON from PARTIBREJKERS and IVICA DUSPARA/ZORAN ČALIĆ from MAJKE, both great rock'n'roll bands/guitarists

New age bands like Zoster, Dubioza Kolektiv, Brkovi, Artan Lili and many others, still keep things alive, whatever yu nostalgia purists might say. Cheers Rob

bila jednom jedna država, Veličanstvena Jugoslavija! Da pogodim, na prvom mjestu je Točak? na drugiom mjestu Stefanovski? Treći, Bodo Kovačević? što se mene tiće, meni su oni svi odlični, ali mi je Točak nekako malo bolji od svih njih, ima to nešto što mi se sviđa kod njega da mi malo više prija od drugih...ali svi su oni vrhunski majstori svog instrumenta. Tako recimo, meni je Mark Knofler najjači u svemu, ima to nešto što mi je odlično kod njega, s time da taj lik je autor, producent, tekstopisac i svira brutalno dobro gitaru....u svijetu muzike mi je na vrhu piramide Mark Knofler, pa stepenica ispod Dire straits, pa onda svi ovi ostali.

As far as rock music is concerned, so far this has mostly been about the 70s and 80s. It's time to move on to the 90s, and I'd recommend "Laufer", "Majke" and "Letu štuke". Vava (guitarist of "Laufer") certainly belongs to the top.
