  • Hello everyone, I wanted to show you an easy method to make Rosemary Tincture and Healing Rosemary Ointment.
You can use rosemary from your garden or purchase fresh or dry from a shop.
It works very well on my dry & cracked fingers and heels during the winter!
Once you make some Rosemary Tincture you can use it to make moisturiser, toner, anti-bacterial spray etc!
Ingredients for Rosemary Tincture: Rosemary, Vodka (or ethanol alcohol)
Ingredients for Ointment: Rosemary Tincture, Petroleum Jelly
If you enjoyed this video, please give this video a thumbs up.

Could you use apple cider vinegar and could you use coconut to make the balm?

Hi Laurie, thank you for your comment! That is an interesting combination! You can probably mix them together however I have never made it with apple cider vinegar and coconut oil so I’m not sure how the finished product will turn out.

Hi there, thank you for your comment!
I have been using petroleum Jelly for over 4o years and have never had an issue.
I am just sharing with you how I make my Rosemary Ointment. Of course, everybody should do their own research and make up their own mind. If it’s not for you, please substitute it with a different product and experiment, that’s the beauty of hand-crafting 🌟🙂

How long does the rosemary oil last before expiring?

    • @StudioMio95
      @StudioMio95  2 роки тому +1

If you use ethanol to make the oil, you can keep it in the fridge for approx. one year but I recommend using it earlier as the scent will fade.
FYI - If you use it to make an ointment, it will last about 1 month in the fridge.
Please keep in mind these are just general guidelines as this is a homemade product and the final product can vary greatly depending on ingredients and methods used to make it.
      Hope this information helps!

I used ethanol 95% in this video. If you are using vodka then I suggest at least 40% 😉

My tincture is on it's 3rd week and is turning brownish. Should it be doing that?

Hi there, usually if you use vodka, it will go brown but it is ok to use 😉

People have been using petroleum jelly for a century or more. Doctors recommend it, how is it toxic unless you drink a gallon of it?
