why no one eating chicken rice with the chicken rice chilli? whyyyy.
i think because the garlic in the chicken rice chili, can overpower the taste of the rice.
@@lingth yeah that's possible that's why I was thinking more along the lines of try it once in its original form, then add/mix the chili in and try it once more. rather than mix the chili in from the get-go hehe
The chilli from Maria Virgin Soy Sauce Chicken is not that nice though; quite watery. 😅 But their silken tofu is delicious.

i think the same goes for things like Curry Puffs and such, we are so used to "Brand names" like "Old Chang Kee" "Polar Puffs", "Tip Top", that we hardly go and look around for better curry puffs that those mum and dad stalls cook.
I think curry puffs have 3 main types.
1st kind is the oily deep fried one with thinner crust but very oily pastry, the kind will make the paper bag soaked in oil after holding it.
2nd kind is the thicker skin kind, thicker dough, like Old Chang Kee type.
3rd kind is those flaky crust types, this kind when you bit will have pieces of the crust dropping all over the table.
I wonder if Eatbook will have an episode on curry puffs. (not epok epok)
Ranging from the humble $0.40 or $0.50 kind with curry potato and sardine, to the premium kind with chicken meat and slice of egg, that sell for over $1.50

Tian tian chicken rice is jus good marketing. The chicken rice itself is just slightly above average. Can easily think of 5 other stalls that are better.

Now do old airport rd prawn noodles. The 2 stalls in front cannot be at the middle stall prawn noodles.
I never like Tian Tian chicken rice even after the first time (and last time) I ate it. It's just the hype and the publicity that makes it famous. The hainanese chicken rice store across my home tasted better lol!

Do nasi lemak next. Always in awe with the super long queue of one Nasi Lemak stall at Changi Village but tried it.. It was horrible.
But every single time the q at that particular stall will be dead ass the longest one. I think ppl know which stall I'm referring to.

Any roast chicken lovers here?
Tried the Tian Tian chicken rice in Utown (NUS) and its the worst chicken rice I have ever eaten in my life. The chicken is so dry (even though I ordered chicken drumstick), the rice is not fragrant at all and it is so crazily overpriced. I can find better chicken rice anywhere for a cheaper price.
Maybe after this ep Ah tai chicken rice’s q can compete w tian tian liao

Hawker chan is overrated as well. Its not nice and i tasted better soya sauce chicken rice
Samuel Muck hawker Chan is because they are cheap
i tried Hawker Chan before too. queued for 55 mins+/- lol
it was nice & cheap
but, that was before they expanded their business
now i heard the standard drop a lot

Hawker Chan is so meh... Its cheap but not worth any queuing.
