  • Using time wisely: Wisdom from the Talmud - a shiur with Rabbi Moshe Kornblum, Assistant Dean at Yeshivat Orayta
Everybody needs and can make time. At this crucial juncture of the year between Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, what does our tradition teach about using the precious commodity of time?
Join Rabbi Moshe Kornblum, Assistant Dean at Yeshivat Orayta in the Old City of Jerusalem, formerly student chaplain at the University of Cape Town and Rabbi of the Constantia Hebrew Congregation to study Talmudic teachings on the use of time.
Rabbi Kornblum, starting with the famous story (Yoma 35b) of the sage Hillel being refused entry to the Beit Midrash, applies these teachings to contemporary times to help you prepare for Yom Kippur and the year ahead.
The United Synagogue and Yeshivat Orayta, a yeshiva for post-secondary school students from around the English-speaking Jewish world, look forward to working together on facilitating community study and touring programmes, based in the Old City of Jerusalem.
