99 Bottles of ink on the shelf, 999 bottles of ink, took one down, filled the pen a round, 98 Bottles of ink on the shelf. Need to dedicate a pen to each bottle of ink :):)
When you do decide to destash your inks, please post about that process and where destash/sell/give away! I have WAY too many! This was a wonderful video!
If Yoseka holds another stationery swap event this year that’s how I destashed some of my samples. I had some other stationery to destash and mailed them a package with all of it.
9:00 I visited Bungubox this week and they showed me how to open the box; Not from the top but you should push it on the perforations on the side. And then the box turns into a holder for the bottle, much easier to ink the pen that way
This was so adorable! And your impulses for buying ink (that we all assume make no sense to anyone else) make perfect sense to me. Don't worry, you're in good company 🤣
I can relate to feeling burned out by inks and needing to take a break from exploring/purchasing them for awhile. I got a number of bottles and samples when I started out. then when I got a sample that was very different from what I was expecting, took a pause for a couple of years, but when I visited pen shows recently, I purchased some ink bottles and I got a light orange sailor ink (their 2024 pen show ink exclusive) and the troublemaker x flax ink momomochi and they're both just too light and dry to use in my fountain pens. I learned to appreciate more saturated colors and I was going to place an order with kobe inks but decided to dive right back in to samples to try out a bunch of colors first (to also mix some pilot iroshizuku colors) and I got a Kakimori dip nib (I was inspired by how Ame draws with it). I found Fountain pen companion was very helpful in digitally recording my pen and ink collection
I aspire to build my own ink collection one day! (So sad I never bought the pilot iroshizuku tsuyu kusa ink before it discontinued, I haven’t been able to find a blue as pretty 😭😭😭), I’m gonna be in nyc soon and Yoseka is #1 on visit list, so exciteddd 🖋️🖋️
You mentioned that you stay away from dryer inks. Do certain brands tend to be dry, or does it just depend on specific ink and color. I don’t have fountain pen ink in my city to try- so my shopping is mostly online. Thank you!
Always have to be careful with ink bottles and ink samples. Hoarding either, or both, leads to Tetris fatigue, figuring how they fit in your space. I don't try to count my bottles at this point, I just put a moratorium on ink purchases, a test of will power iykyk.
If you are interested in topic suggestions, I am stuck trying to clean out a pen in which I let the ink dry out. Now the converter can’t fill the pen. Help! Thank you in advance.
Girls, just a suggestion: Don't use cotton swabs to swatch ink, cotton is very difficult to recycle and it's a lot of unnecessary waste. You can use instead a brush or find creative ways like using a swiss knife blade, I recently found a UA-camr doing this and it's really a great idea.

May and Leslie are so much fun. Great interview with smart, beautiful women.
I remember when I thought 45 bottles was a lot. I miss those days. 😅
Leslie is in the right place 💚
Like Leslie, my go-to inks are greens. My favorite is Lennon Tool Bar's wenshan pouchong tea. It's the perfect olive for everyday writing 😊
Yes DRAW with our fountain pens!

Why don't you give it away to beginners like us 😂
@@BhavyaLapasiya It might surprise you but I would be more than happy to send you some ink, especially if you’re a newby.
I’ve got over 100 bottles and about 100 samples. I flew right by 45 and never gave it a second thought.

I have over 150bbottles and over 400 samples

LOL Yes, that happens to me, you found the exact words 😂😂

If you haven’t already tried it, liquid pen flush might be the ticket. I use it to clean stubborn shimmer ink out of piston filler pens.
Thank you, Heather! I didn’t know this even existed. Have ordered from Amazon.
@@belwynne1386 You’re welcome! I hope it works.

Um... 45 is not too crazy, I went into my collection and did a quick head count. Yeah, I can confidently say that 45 is not enough. 😂😅
