- Suko was a cool new Monsterverse addition, felt like an evolution of the Son of Kong idea without making their relationship strictly parental. His theme is a very tender seven note motif building into a more luscious melody. It's very sweet and has cute instrumentation to fit him, but his theme also succeeds in being heroic when we reach the big climax of the film.

To me, Suko really was the most impressive creation of The New Empire. I was expecting him to just be "The mini Kong" and nothing else, and just be used to make the movie more marketable to children, but instead we got something very different and subversive. His character has so much intrigue with how he fears Scar king and even Kong at first, but then slowly learns to trust Kong and turns against Scar King in the end. Really wasn't expecting to get that much depth from him.
Small, but brave. I can tell you for certain that he’s worthy to inherit Kong’s place as Eighth Wonder of the World!
Can't wait for the one dude to comment "MAKE PO SUITE NOW!!" for the billionth time

Kinda frustrating that this alongside Kong’s theme shows Junkie has potential to push out good original leitmotifs for the characters. Would’ve loved it if Shimo had her own
Technically, it was the one that played whenever Skar King used her. Got a real, 'freezing' feel to it.
@@kiyoshi3313 Which while it does makes sense considering she’s under his control, she’s part of the main four contenders (excluding Mothra) in the film.
I didn’t recognize if she did get a variation, but something unique would’ve worked well, especially during her reveal.
@_boogatti_ In truth, the 2 main villains are kinda underutilized, and when they're on screen, they're together, giving them one theme almost. I wish their themes were more prominent and individualistic as well.

Honestly, this is my favorite new theme for the movie, and it's on par with Kong's themes! Skar King's theme is underused and Mothra's theme is nice but suffers from resembling too much the original Mothra theme, just like it happens with Godzilla. But Junkie's themes for Kong and now for Suko are some of his best!
Was I not the only one who got Kratos and Atreus vibes from Kong and Suko? Seriously tho, his motif is amazing.

Listening to these themes makes me realize how similar they are to each other. They all have the same 5 notes, just with different pitches.
Godzilla, Mothra, and Suko. Skar King is the only real exception.
I hope Legendary brings Bear McCreary back. Each monster can have a unique them again.
