@@chamathangelo9495 the answer is in the codex entries across both Doom (2016) & Eternal. Tldr Doomslayer is the OG Doomguy. After Doom 64 Doomguy stayed in hell to keep the Demons from invading Earth. Eventually he was taken in by the Knight Sentinels and was blessed by the seraphim turning him into a demigod. Eventually he was betrayed and trapped in hell with his army, they all died but he kept fighting until the demons dropped a mountain on him and knocked him out. They sealed him in that sarcophagus until Samuel Hayden let him out
There is a LOT more too it but that's the short version

Good. That means the people who made the collection system did a great job designing it.
It's honestly really understandable since the majority of secrets make your life so much easier.
Also, with fast travel and the changes made to the automap in this game vs DOOM 2016, the secrets are much easier to find and obtain (i thought, at least) in DOOM Eternal than they were in DOOM 2016.
Andrew yeah none of the secrets in eternal are as hard to find as the classic map levers in 2016, and those were present in every level, extremely tedious to find them all without using a guide.

That’s what a good player is doing. You’re going to have to come to terms with the fact that you can and probably will lose a LOT of health very quickly regardless of your skill. Only if you have a cheat enabled will you be completely undamaged...That is one of the best parts of this game well most of the time dying seems like it’s your fault there are times where the simple sheer amount of stuff Present in the environment will kill you in and of itself. A lot of people may think this seems like bullshit, Those people are new here. this is how we like this game because when we do pull it off it shows the world what the doom slayer really is. I agree that the "It Still Fits" bit made me feel even more like the timelines are connected, and accidentally spotting "Mixom" when I paused at 50:10 reminded me that MIxom and Moxim were competing companies in Doom 3, so maybe that's connected as well (that, and the soul cube from earlier).
Love how the weak point clearly says to destroy the shield before attacking them, but mark is just like “no need to take it off, I’ll just fuck you up through it”
use blood punch and rocket launcher on the sled to maximize damage and ignore his shield
Yeah, attacking the sled directly is the way to go. The shield takes way too mich plasma ammo to bust, and it doesn't stay down long.
actually no full upgrade heat blast gives a boost after using the heat blast that melts shields even Doomhunter's shield in seconds

Actually: The cassic Doom games ARE canon to DOOM 2016 & DOOM Eternal, they take place MANY years after the 3 classic DOOM games (Doom; DOOM 2 & DOOM 64). Even the released version of DOOM 64 has a different ending text to make sure that it can line up too the reboot's continuity. ^^

The fact that you went into this like "I don't want all the secrets" to "Your secrets: hand them over" kinda shows how good the collection system in this game is.
