They were only listening to their investors. We thought Roblox going public would mean more money = more motivation but it was the opposite.
Ain't believing any crap they say until they actually improve performance, the servers and also the moderation. I don't want to play an event like this again because it isn't fun and even the golden paid prizes suck, and everything after the event is the same drama everyday. If they can't even improve the quality of their platform then how they will make a good event??

I feel like dev hunt events like this would be better if there were multiple eggs per game and less games, that way they could pick only the best games in order for there to be better quality. maybe there could even be a full on lobby with some eggs to get in it like the 2019 egg hunt too

I think future hunts should have these restraints/changes:
- No lazy goals for obtaining a hunt badge (wait for x minutes)
- No extremely long or tedious hunt badges, people want to progress in the hunt, not play your game for 1/4 of the hunt's duration
- There should be one reward every 10 hunt badges collected. Once per 20 badges is too long when you also consider that game devs like to make the requirements for the badges really annoying.
Also just more careful planning. The first game I played I couldn’t play the event part of the game because the mobile jump button covered the event button.

Agreed apart from the 2nd one, now this may seem bs from me, but im totally fine if the task involve of actual gameplay experience and play time, that will give players the expression on how good/bad the experience is
Also another requirement i would add is that the game has to has some form of quality and enjoyment, you know, game that everyone agree will be playing. This is to prevent games like toilet tower defense and barry prison
(most of)the developers of the chosen games decided to be lazy and either forced players to play their cashgrab,boring,repetitive game for x amount of time or make some half-assed quest that doesn’t even match the theme of The Hunt itself,so blame them on that
And I agree,Roblox should pick games with higher quality and pick less games in general.100 different games,most of which are low effort simulators and/or a cash grab is ridiculous and overwhelming at the same time

Vast improvements would come if
- The simulator games were excluded from The Hunt
- They do away with the battle-pass idea for prizes
- Not limit the amount of eggs a game can hand out
i did strongman simulator, and it was pretty good because it was more of a unique obby you completed. it wasn't "get to x amount of strength" like the annoying ones.
simulator games should have a better quest than just to experience their game for no reason. it shouldn't be that grindy

I think a good way to move the hunt would be to move it to move the 'hunt' to the summer and bring back the egg hunts similar to 2012,2013,2014 without lag, 2016, 2017, and 2018 egg hunts. Then rebrand the 'hunt' as a summer competition.

I do think dev hunts have so much potential and the only thing holding them back is a lack of quality control and effort. If we got high effort fun events in a small handful of select games we could have an amazing egg hunt.
Even with a bunch of games if they just actually doubled check each game the event would've been 10x times
remember, this is the FIRST EDITION. this means that they probably will make the next one great (maybe not greeat but definitely better)
and it probably is unlikely for them to repeat games so all the shit in this event probably wont come back
Look bro, this is PURE copium. I've seen 5his pattern before in other games, halo, cod, plants vs zombies, ect. Things will not get better, all the signs are there to signal the worst. So don't hold out hope for events in roblox, but, if I do turn out to be wrong in a year, then laugh at me and be glad, I would like to be wrong.

@@rgb-robloxgamingmore5062 I don’t care if I’m bad at rythm games, I found that the order the songs were in were from hardest to easiest, I was struggling on the first two songs like the hunt remix but found it pretty easy on the last song in the order, which was the hunt, I feel like they would have ordered the songs to slowly increase in difficulty. The higher difficulty songs also had very weird charting, half of the time it was spamming a staircase of notes at me and some double notes which I could never hit
i havent even bothered myself into buying the battlepass stuff cause i still want to believe that its a classic roblox egg hunt event, a time when most of the rewards were actually free to get. its just a slap to the face to old players now

Well, a suggestion I would give is the implementation of more less demanding games and maybe a hub that sorts the games into categories. I would also suggest making the accessories obtained via challenges that the player has to complete once they reach a certain badge threshold.

Even as someone who has played roblox since the 2010's, I wasnt active enough to know about roblox hunt events. This is basically my first. So far (I havent finished, not even halfway) Im enjoying it. Though I do have a few nitpicks that I felt haltered my enjoyment a bit here and there.
-Maybe a better game selection in the future, mainly more variety.
because seeing like half of the games being simulators, two of them being the same game (blade and death ball for example) not that they are bad games though, it just felt the same
-Said games have more rules and restrictions because some of the missions are as short as 10 seconds to a minute, and others are hours (Like pet sim if you're like me and didn't play it pre hunt)
These are just my main two nitpicks at the event, but other than those, it's really great for someone who just got into events.

It’d so great roblox is finally listening for once, for improving the hunt they really need to look into quality control of some of the games (looking at you fusion football and fruit battleground)

I'm really really hoping this is the start of them truly interacting with the community. It could be another PR stunt but, the fact there's been replies, and interaction beyond just a "fire and forget" tweet.
Cautiously optimistic for the future, and if it keeps going like this, Roblox may return to form soon!

My thoughts about this video
This could be an interesting comeback from Roblox because I certainly miss the old times that roblox disassociated with their community but upon doing feedback over this event is pretty amazing and im hoping for an even better event that is an egg hunt (which cannot be a dev hunt). And tbh we don't need too many games for an event to roll out and im looking forward to the future of roblox.

The hunt needs to be longer, and more clarification on in game items, because we really were left off on finding out the item’s teased were behind a pay wall.
Even though this sounds amazing, i won’t be believing that roblox will get better later on, since i been disappointed with many things that roblox said but turned out to be bad or worthless.
2 ways to improve The Hunt even
1 add more prices per few badges and dont repeat this same thing on the coming 2nd part of the event
2 reduce the ammount of games/tasks you need to do and spread all the current game tasks/events into the other upcoming parts of the event

I don’t mind the dev hunt, but what I really wanted from the hunt were less games and UGC/eggs related to the game as a reward instead of this freakin battle pass type thing. I gave up after like 15 badges cause it was just way too much grinding and one badge can take between 5 minutes to an hour to get
What I really want is the Easter egg hunt Roblox held mixed with this years “ the hunt “ and maybe some unreleased stuff for special events ex. Anniversaries.

hope they learn from all the previous dev hunts, but there's no guarantee because im sure the amazing egghunts like 2017 and 2018 didn't make them as much money as the more disliked 2019 and 2020 because devhunts are just overall so much cheaper, and developers are able to implement cashgrabs to further profit off of the opportunity they get
I think the game would be in better shape if roblox focused on r15 more than rthro then it would be balanced i haven’t seen anything good since 2020 besides the egg hunt event but hopefully it can go back to where it use to be 🙏🙏

If I was able to improve the hunt, I would've added difficulty control to the games, so that the event part of the game would be tested by actual testers before it enters the event. Right now there's a lot of games that just give the badge almost for free, and a lot of badges that are super hard to beat.
Tbf, I appreciate that roblox is looking for feedback, and not flat out neglecting the community.
if Roblox continues dev hunts they should atleast focus on more community favourite games and underrated gems. but if roblox ever brings back the 2018 roblox egg hunt style they should reuse egg hunt 2020's concept (secret spy mission) cause I'd be really interested to see an entire game focused around stealth and stuff like that and it's honestly a creative concept for an egg hunt

Heres my thoughts or idea if they do another event: Since they try to make it themed. They should do a minimum of games like 40ish. They should assign 1-40 of the games a quest made by Roblox for them to follow so they could make a book adding on to the lore.

Some games were really good like arsenal’s spy campaign and that one Rhythm minigame that some high-school roleplay game had, but most games killed my eyeballs from how much color was being blasted in my face and I swear the snowboard game didn’t even give me credit even tho I got the badge. Some games had no guidance or direction for what to do and I spent like over 10 mins trying to figure it out. I’m done with it with just 18 badges cuz I think the rest are simulator games that waste your time
Death Ball's hunt quest was surprisingly fun as well. I haven't personally played it before the event and thought it was going to be just some kill collect quest like Blade Ball, but the devs actually took the time to make a pretty decent boss battle that wasn't too hard nor too easy and was overall very fun.

hopefully we can get an event based on older roblox games / games that create a good look and are generally well known, i feel like that would make for a good event. games like blade ball or the strongest battlegrounds are not the type of games i think would represent an event like this well, instead, games such as jailbreak or arsenal would create this idea well.

@okgoose3305 some of the games were controversial games. some are gambling games. some are not fun. and theres 5 fucking cars games in the hunt. and also. in the hunt. there was a game called lumberjack tycoon right?. and well if you see. mostly of the games only got one spot for themselfs. not double.. but lumberjack tycoon? that was diferent. the creator simply got 2 spots because simply. roblox thinked both games were made by diferent devs. so bassicaly. 2 games. where the dev call himself in other names. just so he can get double the money. (this is just my theory btw. but would make sense because both lumberjack and pull thr sword are pay 2 win)

There needs to be quality control for events like this. Arsenal made an entire side story with voice acting and NPCs and Greenville made an entire car part easter egg hunt whereas livetopia (cash grab game) made a crappy fetch quest that has you walk from one area to the next and wait for timers to unlock some dumb clothes and a token.
They should do more surver too they can see what players want
People are over estimating how better the hunt will probably get by next year. They likely aren't looking to make the hunt better to play for players and want to maximize the player retention for games so the events serves a purpose of getting hooked to the games and highlight the meta verse aspect of the game.
The dev hunt event won't be gone, eggs won't come back, and they will probably continue to push rthro, if the trend doesn't dramatically turn.
but...first of all they are literally hinting of an egg being in the finale of this hunt, and unless this is "the final egg" I think its a start to bringing it back. Yeah dev hunts may not be gone but I still believe they want to bring egg hunts back

I really liked the 2018 Egg Hunt's map. It was so beautiful with tons of places to explore! What I'd really want from Roblox is to replicate stuff like that other than making all events Dev Hunts.

I would improve the hunt by adding more stuff you can get, changing the lobby, and check what you add after, and before the hunt because playing for 15 minutes seems like a chore rather than having fun.

Its not the end. We still have the second edition and third one. The reason why i think they are splitting up the event into 3 parts is to make game developers have more time to get ready and publish what they need to put for the event to make the event more fun.

You know, I like the concept of dev hunts, and think a hybrid "one game/dev hunt" egg hunt would be good, kinda like what they did in 2019 for the Avengers sponsored one. I know a lot of people say that was the worst one, but the conept itself is good. Have a large explorable egg hunt world, with a bunch of challenges. Kinda like a mix of The Great Yolktales and Hallow's Eve 2018.
Also, Roblox, please bring back Hallow's Eve.
Honestly, my advice is to continue with something good they've seemed to have started --- you don't need to do every game for all of the possible free rewards.
I enjoy Roblox because it's always been a somewhat "easy" platform for lower-end PCs --- but of course, games are getting advanced.
Some of the games I find to be straight-up impossible (especially the bike race one) because the lag makes it way too hard to complete in the given amount of time.
Not everyone is an American with a gaming PC. In fact, people who own a gaming PC are still a minority of people worldwide, although they're also the ones catered to the most. So, I like that we have options to not play too many fast-paced games.
They should bring back the Sorter feature, where people can select games based on the genre they want, with the most popular ones on the upper left and the least popular ones on the right. Another thing is that they need to start promoting underrated games that have great potential in terms of popularity, like Guts & Black Powder, Phighting!, and others. These developers are working hard, designing and coding the whole game, unlike copy-and-paste games like Blade Ball. They also need to at least lessen pay-to-win (P2W) elements in games. It's fine to have P2W content as long as it doesn't over power the game and still maintains a skill-based aspect.

If i were to change things in the event i would
Remove all the cashgrab games example: lumberjack simulator, pull a sword and arm wrestling simulator, these games are the PEAK cashgrab games since theres hundreds of them with diffirent main objectives and stolen assets
Make if so that the games that will be joining the hunt have some sort or indication as what your meant to do (im looking at YOU fruit battlesgrounds)
MOST games had some sort of indication for the hunt but fruit battlegrounds is just averse to making anything easy for new players i guess
While roblox's moderation is... questionable, youtube's moderation is getting worse, 5 of my alt channels were removed for no reason

I actually sent a support ticket for event feedback before I heard of any of this and got a response too.

It's nice to be getting some sort of acknowledgment from support about these sorts of things.
For reference this was the feedback I sent: "The Hunt" event is a total disaster. So many of the challenges aren't fun and are a chore to do, especially ones in games like "Lumberjack simulator" and "Pull a sword" being copy paste versions of each other with different assets. Other games like "Livetopia" just padding out the quest with timers that leave you sitting around doing nothing.
I'd rather quality over quantity with these games and this event has only highlighted how bad it has gotten on Roblox where these low effort games/quests can easily get into such a high profile event with absolutely zero oversight to what they actually contain.
I want to see better in future events, and actually see the prioritization of fun games with well thought out quests. The only ones I can say I actually enjoyed doing were from Steep Steps, Funky Friday, and the bike ones."
personally I think they should've given everyone more time than 2 weeks to build everything for this event. I think being on a time crunch definitely limited the creativity of everyone and we could have something way greater if they just had more time.

I just hope that they don't choose games that are too grindy or repetitive like Pet Sim or any kind of simulator games. In addition, more challenging games would be nice for more seasoned Roblox players, especially if you're gonna add 100 badges. Games like Guts And Blaxkpowder or Centaura would be nice to have, adds a bit more spice and variety to the events.

The hunt seems to be roblxo testing the waters when it comes to events and more specifically egg hunts. Its just instead of using chum to catch a snapper, you’re using a bag of taco bell to catch a greatwhite shark because thats how dogshit this event is even compared to 2020 and 2019(atleast in those years we had 50 badges for 50 items, now we have fucking 95 badges or something for 5 items thats straight out ridiculous already)
