To be honest, I don't mind the flap being thinner, but it's driving me crazy when the bottom and sides of the bag become convex or concave and lose their flat sides when stuffing bits and pieces inside

It is soft pebble leather, when I don't use mine, I would stuff it really well so that it doesn't loose its shape 😊

I don't have a laptop, but based on the measurement, it should fit, as long as it is not a very thick laptop 😅
