This is just so entertaining. I just keep watching it over and over again. Yes Cherry is beautiful. But not as beautiful as this version of she's a lover. Thank you for this upload.
Hello there- thanks for the comment and appreciation. I believe she runs a restaurant/diner in a popular Spanish resort last I heard and it is fairly well known to people there -the 'Pans' connection. (Your comment about marrying her is probably the sentiment of an entire generation of UK males!! )
@echo680 Cheers for t'appreciation! Pans and JM were the two decent things to come out of the 70s in the UK. This version is from a live concert JM appeared at sometime say '98- 2000. The videotape (not DVD released) is 'Tell them Im somebody else' which has interviews/part JM fly on the wall style docu' plus several songs. I have this performance on utube- see my JM playlist. Yep, later -little guitar upfront, but he sometimes sprung a solo that was bliss. See his '83 Anna in NY-great solo.
@ianmcgeachy - She is classically beautiful, hair, legs, graceful dancer, face, body... On a scale of 1 to 10, like Spinal Tap's amplifiers, she goes to 11 !
Thanks for comment. However I edited the music to Cherrys original dance (which was Billy Joels 'Just The Way You Are')-which is also on youtube -or was-somewhere. Since I'm a fan of JMartyn music I saw the dance and fairly instantly thought of this music as befitting. Billy Joels ok-but I think this is alot better music and sortof blends well. Actual song 'shes a lover' is quite longer (see my other video of the John Martyn performance of this). I too also watch out for the Pans People stuff!
@ianmcgeachy, I dont know whether it is available to view, the reason I was watching it is that the BBC are re-running old Top of the Pops episodes. Hope that helps?.
@1959gail Many thanks for this info. When I first saw the video of this 'Cherry solo' dance it was a Billy Joel number. In that case someone else had edited the dance to their pick of music. Is it available to view as per original music anywhere ?
@pattayalob As I replied to another here...I assure you she is still a very stunning and beautiful woman even in her mid fifties, though understandably, and like many of the other Pans ladies, keeps a fairly low profile.. even after 30 odd years!!
@banberry2112 Welcome Banberyy..we kind of had a similar idea of putting JMs music to dance eh?...(me in a very limited way with my semi infatuation with Pans people from the 70s) -Ian
Cherry Gillespie is probably the most beautiful girl in the world. She has the cutest face and a body to die for. I hope you are OK, Cherry.
I watch these for Pans People and , as in this case, find great music that I missed at the time, thanks

@1959gail - It was on again tonight and your quite correct. Cherry is one very beautiful lady.
It would have never worked out anyway between me and Cherry...I fancied her fellow dancing mates too much !!!
Glad u like the videoclip!

@pattayalob Agree in everything said. I was ten in the 70's and in love with Cherry and her sexy smile big time.

@wild14me I was in my teens in the early to mid 70s. Ruth, Cherry and Dee Dee certainly had their share of male attention!
this was actually shown on television in 1976 and cherry is dancing to Misty Blue, I should know, cos I have been watching it an hour ago!

@TheBazza1957 She was (and still is actually) a very beautiful and alluring woman.

At the time of Pan's People I was dating a girl who was Cherry's double - not sure who I fancied most! Great song from JM by the way.......
+Ian McKay Cherry was always my favourite.
