I legit thought u were talking about your daughters, anyhow, if your friends ever start back doing it, you can set gift price limits, like the gift should cost $50 ideally, but $40 min and $60 Max so they're isn't such a big disparity

If everyone at work is getting perfume, bags, etc and u get someone a written note... that person will be upset. They should just not participate or like one of them said, get a gift they have but don’t use.

You get to shop for things YOU KNOW AND LIKE! And your friend gets to try the stuff you’ve been raving about...
Instead of doing secret Santa my coworkers and decided to just donated money and bought toys for toys for tots. You gave what you could and we made some kids happy in the process.
Look, if you don't have enough or no money to spare here are some tips: - Just buy your gifts after christmas and new year, then literally everything is on sale with huge discounts. - Visit thrift stores after new year (my mom does and goes alot) you would be surprised what you would find honestly sometimes an actual item that cost in the store 25 to 50 euro and all of a sudden you can buy it for 1 to 5 euro. No joke. - Go to cheap stores. - Regift a gift (personally I don't like that). - Like Tamera said, bake cookies or a pie, make some food to give away. - Or like Adrienne said "Just tell the truth" but I mean if you can eat/cook you can always create/do something even if it's just giving a personal gift card for cleaning or helping someone. Usually secret santa is optional... I’ve never seen one that wasn’t. And also the budget doesn’t have to be high. For work they usually keep it at 15-20 $. Sometimes I do it with my age cousins and we do 50$. and also I have a lot of extended family and there’s a ton of little kids so they started doing secret santa so the parents don’t have to buy all 20 of them a gift. They do it for newborns to age 13. The budget is 50 $ And every year someone different hosts it. When my parents hosted it for my little sister we had all sorts of games and prizes. It’s actually pretty fun

I baked cookies for my office. The dollar limit is only $10 but that adds up when you're trying to give gifts to everyone in the office. I cracked open the cupboards and got to work using ingredients I already had at home. And they were a hit.

Had a secret santa at work last year and my best friend and I worked together and we didn’t like most the other people we worked with so I volunteered to organise the secret santa and just didn’t put mine or my friend’s name in the hat. (It was quite a lot of ppl so no one would notice that it was 2 names short). So in the end my friend and I just got each other gifts 🌚🤷🏽♀️
