It is my understanding that the angles turn to stone when any living thing looks at them. Machines don't count & the life form just needs at least 1 eye & a living brain to process vision. If this is true within the story cannon, then the angels can be easily stopped by a house fly. Flys can't blink & they see in all directions all the time.
Oh Bats... way too overcomplicated. Ask Booster Gold or Rip Hunter for some time technology. Freeze the Angels with that tech. Seal them in rock and then launch them into the sun. Read a whole discussion about the merit of alternating having one eye open. One thing I thought of, and it's still probably imperfect, is one eye is closed and when you need to open it do so. Then when both eyes are open, close the other eye. This would eliminate changing field of view the angel might be able to take advantage of. If this does work it would work only with one, maybe two, angels at best. And only for as long as one can remain awake. I was surprised no one seemed to think of this since I couldn't find it in the comments of the discussion.
Why doesn't the Doctor just use his time machine to travel back in time to rescue any weeping angel prey? As long as he knows they aren't officially dead the point in time won't be fixed but then again paradoxes also poison weeping angels, so I see no downside to rescuing weeping angel victims.

It is my understanding that the angles turn to stone when any living thing looks at them. Machines don't count & the life form just needs at least 1 eye & a living brain to process vision. Oh Bats... way too overcomplicated. Ask Booster Gold or Rip Hunter for some time technology. Freeze the Angels with that tech. Seal them in rock and then launch them into the sun.
Or just ask Constantine to send them to hell. Theres no time in hell, which will slowly starve the Angels until they are too weak to so anything. Even if they died, they will still be in hell.

Read a whole discussion about the merit of alternating having one eye open. One thing I thought of, and it's still probably imperfect, is one eye is closed and when you need to open it do so. Then when both eyes are open, close the other eye. This would eliminate changing field of view the angel might be able to take advantage of. If this does work it would work only with one, maybe two, angels at best. And only for as long as one can remain awake. I was surprised no one seemed to think of this since I couldn't find it in the comments of the discussion.

Why doesn't the Doctor just use his time machine to travel back in time to rescue any weeping angel prey? As long as he knows they aren't officially dead the point in time won't be fixed but then again paradoxes also poison weeping angels, so I see no downside to rescuing weeping angel victims.
