Such a fantastic tutorial. Played with such feel, the serenity just pours out of the guitar. I've been working it bit by bit, so rewarding to play. Thanks man!!
Thanks a lot, this is without a doubt one of the best guitar tutorials i have seen in yt. Concise, with a lot of clarity and easy to follow. Please keep it up!
Great tutorial! Was able to follow along pretty well. Great tempo and rundowns of the origin of the chords used in the song. Enjoyed it alot and spend an hour learning the whole thing!
Such an unusual composition for a rock album of the time. I immediately thought it was so peaceful, like the title. That album had some incredible guitar playing on it. "Pictures of a City" is a jarring, whirling, claustrophobic image of a big city. The guitar in that is amazing though.
@@snoozedoctor so so incredibly underrated, I never see his name when discussing classic rock guitarists yet I consider him to be one of if not the best!
@@MrGreendayzed A young man still! My first 6 months on the instrument were a slog. I thought I would never get the hang of it. A year and a half later I was playing in a decent rock band. Just have to stick with it.
Hello. Awhile back you did a video teaching the intro to If I Had a Boat by Lyle Lovett. Can you please do a full tutorial with intro to the Guy Clark tune Boats To Build? That's a great song but I don't know how to play the intro. Thanks muchas

This is amazing. Love KC , been fortunate to see them loads in the 70's , and several times pre-covid. Thanks for this tutorial.
Many thanks and my pleasure!

Great tutorial, Doc! Some parts of this to my ears sound a bit like Debussy, particularly the motifs played higher up the neck.

Very helpful and great playing. hats off to you sir, thanks
You're so welcome! Cheers!
Thanks Doc. Beautiful playing and one heck of a stretch.
Thanks! It's a very atypical composition for rock bands of the early 70s. Robert Fripp is a heck of a guitarist.

@@mylan4742 Yeah, I've thought about challenging myself to learn Pictures of a City, but I know it would consume weeks, if I was able to do it at all.
Thanks for sharing this lesson
