loved the technique for creating the moving water.... gave me ideas this painting. i see luminous green coming over the hills with layers of purple for the southern lights effect. the lightning could do with more blur and branching off and i would have a lighthouse with the perspective of looking out from the front of the ship. but thats the thing with painting--tomorrow i may see something else. cool painting..
Totally amazing. Couldn't even figure out what you were doing and then it hit me. It's land! Even more amazing is that you made in 6 minutes what I couldn't make in years!
Ooh thanks for this! Ps...I had this exact song playing while making spray paint art, took a break to watch some videos and yours is the first I watched. Imagine when I realized I was playing the same exact song I’m listening to..lol! Trippy!
Good painting, just a little constructive criticism. Maybe add a little texture to the moon (touch more black before laying down the white. Also a reflection from, what I think, is a lake or some type of water body. Would help with realism.
@deadhumminbird Plus the poster board which you need to paint on but that's only about 50-100 cents per sheet. Altogether (with out the overalls and I got the painting tarp and gloves for free) I've spent about 70-100 dollars so yes, it can get expensive.
@Soccerchicka342 I do this also and I'm pretty sure it was a clear gloss spray paint to, like you said, keep it wet so he could scrape the lightening. :)
That's it....? Well... I liked the way you did the small mountains in the middle ground but I think you could have done a lot for for the main subject of the painting...which was the lightening.
I take it you were done with those magazines, new month issue come in. LOL. I love spray painting videos. First one I saw with lightning...and porn. Looks awesome. More the painting than the magazine if wondering. Tee hee
A couple of pointers, the art work and scenery was amazing but it lacked a few things to make it a masterpiece. I felt that the moon needed more work and perhaps a lot more detail then just a white circle with 2 black smudges, and last is that there was no reflection in the waters surface matching the scenic background. The lighting didn't show up there and neither did the moon.
@deadhumminbird 1)It can get expensive if you want to be a professional (or not hurt yourself). You'll need several cans of spray paint at 3-4 dollars a can if you want to make colorful paintings. You'll need a respirator (basically a gas mask for painting). This will cost 30-50 bucks. There are more expensive ones but they all basically do the same thing you're just paying for style and comfort. You'll also need gloves because you don't want to the toxins from the paint to leach into your skin.
Very good lightning, I have to admit I'm not crazy about the moon though. Should have smudged it before putting down the can. Still, artist's interpretation. Good job dude :)
@deadhumminbird 2) If you don't want to get paint on your clothes (it happens to me a lot and I'm taking this tip in the future) then you'll want to get a pair of overalls for painting. You can get these at a paint store or home depot (maybe! Everyone there works in overalls so I'm just assuming.) And you'll need a place to work which could either be a peice of scrap wood outside or if you don't have that option then you'll buy painting tarp and tape it down which can cost you.
Why did you stay your work .. I am new to this and I would like to know as it is called the spray you use at the end that if I am right brightens the picture
thank you! i knew that mixing paints is not a good idea! But the paint im useing dont spray in a circle it sparys in a line very hard to use for this tyoe if art!
It's called a Large Straightedge Tool...just kidding. You can find stuff like that at Lowes or Home Depot. If you're not in the USA look for drywall or Sheetrock installers tools at your local hardware store.
@MrSpeedysimon Most spray painters actually use posterboard because it holds up better against the paint. Actual paper is never really good for any type of paint.
what kind of magazines have you been looking at ;)
thething031 lol :D
thething031::i caught that to,but hes an Artist Right'
I was thinking the same thing....
It's for art 😂😂
Take whatever you can find pretty much.

Totally amazing. Couldn't even figure out what you were doing and then it hit me. It's land! Even more amazing is that you made in 6 minutes what I couldn't make in years!
You are a beast! i strive to be this good! Dig the black and white too!
a feather will give you good effect for lighting, and marble stone looks as well
I like the lightning, nice work

You have some nice work. I really dig the lighting though. Awesome idea.
Me and my dad have started to make these starting the past year or so. they are awesome to make and come out cool!

Nice magazine hehe
You use my favourite paper ^^
I think he messed up on the moon
I think so 👍
+Issacc Martinez I think he could have done a little more with it, too!
Adam West its unique I think. Like contrast turned way up.
I take it you were done with those magazines, new month issue come in. LOL. I love spray painting videos. First one I saw with lightning...and porn. Looks awesome. More the painting than the magazine if wondering. Tee hee
Damn cuh. Them magazines tho. ;)

jaja i lyk ur paper broo
How do you get the mountains? When I try that it just smudges the spray paint instead
@Insemin8er66 what do you spray on the sky right before you do the lighting? does it make it wet again so that you can scrape it off?
What is that clear stuff he sprayed on before scrapping in his lighting?
What did you spray on the painting before you etched in the lightning strikes?
Do you use any special caps, or do you use the standard caps that is on the can when you buy them?
@Insemin8er66 what did you spray on the "sky" before you used the pallet knife?
Why did you stay your work .. I am new to this and I would like to know as it is called the spray you use at the end that if I am right brightens the picture
thank you! i knew that mixing paints is not a good idea! But the paint im useing dont spray in a circle it sparys in a line very hard to use for this tyoe if art!
That magazine tho.😂
😂😂
everyone seems more interested in the porno than the actual painting... this is really amazing, you're really good at painting.
what is the name of the song?
good job,you're a good artist
Oh my god I never thought of that.
It's clear coat. Basically it's clear spray paint. Keeps the paint wet and alterable.
before adding the lightning you sprayed something on top, what was that?
Semi-Gloss paint, and Poster board for the paper!~
Really cool! Gonna try this technique for lightening! Also loved the music. Who is it?
@Mumbungua Only if those are happy little lightning bolts.
how did you learn to do this? These spray paint videos are so inspiring. :)
would a calligraphy pen work as well?
were did you get your Rmagazines?? lol
What kinda paper do you use, and can it be any kind of spray paint and do you use clear also?
@Insemin8er66 do you have to use gloss paper?
what is the clear spray that you use? i've seen it before, do you use it to make the paint wet again so you can scrape into it??
Were do you get that white stuff ?
what was the clear stuff you used?
perver xD
What is the name of that large straight edge tool you use (or, at least, where can I find one)?
It's called a Large Straightedge Tool...just kidding. You can find stuff like that at Lowes or Home Depot. If you're not in the USA look for drywall or Sheetrock installers tools at your local hardware store.
nice mags
I wish it was in details with subtitles what and when he used which paint.
What type of board did you use?
do you have a website or a place to buy your work??
what type of magazines are you reading???
what did u use to make it wet again ? like you can draw with the knife again ?
What is that, that you used to make the straight line, and to avoid painting any other areas at 1:56
that was really cool what kind of tool did you use for the lightning??
hey did you spray it with a clear right before you did the lightning?
what kind of spray paint do you you use?
1:52 Where in the world can I get one of these things??
how did you do the lightning? I couldn't tell what you were using. Painting came out very nice!
Wat size is. The paper and where do u get it from
What kind of spray do u use at the 3:40
Bibi2013 B clear spray paint I do believe to make the paint wet so he could make the lightning
Its clear paint.
@MrSpeedysimon Most spray painters actually use posterboard because it holds up better against the paint. Actual paper is never really good for any type of paint.
