This is why I try and show up early for the queue, to get into the front row. Then I can rest my arms on the barricade, especially when the arist is close by. The performances where they stay further back are the ones that cause issues for me filming/it's why I prefer "flat" stages like most smaller venues have/Eurovision In Concert. It doesn't help that I'm fairly short, so anywhere I stand I (and hence the phone because I try to be considerate and almost never lift it above my head) don't see that much of the performer's anyway, especially when the stage is fairly tall like here. That's all part of the concert experience though.

I can get that. I've been trying to answer that question for myself and there's a video from a few weeks ago on the channel attempting to answer that very question. The shortest version being that I take pride in being able to provide a digital version of the performance to others and myself- I rewatch the videos a lot. It's the way that I enjoy concerts- I realise it's unconventional, but it's what's fun for me. That's just the way I've grown accustomed to, and I'm happy with it.
