    I love how these moves we do to be better fighters can also help us be better at sports or general physical activities. Fighting is good for the body if you do it right, with the right spirit and intent that is. It's when bad things go down that fighting is there to actually save your life. I don't know what all the peace-lovers think when they see people practicing martial arts and think they're bad people. We really just want to have good healthy bodies that can have a positive effect on the world.

      KainusGulch you can support peace and practice martial arts at the same time. When’s the last time you saw someone fight a war only using martial arts?

      Oh shane i have a question about the thai roundhouse. Cause after watching your 5 common mistakes video i was wondering about the correct timing for leg extension and how far it should extend when kicking the heavy bag. Also have you done a video on following through kicks? Have a great day and keep up the good work

      Hypocrite? I train when hurt, but not injured and I train when not feeling good, but not if I'm genuinely sick. Healing up is better than prolonging the problem. Taking breaks is the hardest thing for an athlete.

    Hey, Shane! Have you ever seen someone not able to sit with the legs bent on a certain side, the way you're demonstrating it in the video? If so, did this person know what exercise to do to fix this? I know I have poor hip mobility, but I thought I could switch easily from one position to the next. In a nutshell, I can do all the drills on one side only. Even if I "cheat" and use my hands to change my position, I can't even remain sitting without using my arms to maintain balance.

    Hey Shane, i need a bit of help coming from a fencing background, trying to learn boxing/muai Thai. Foot work comes pretty easy, but its hard to get used to the closed guard, cos I'm used to being so "open" different coaches tell me different things. Have yoygot any tips to help me progress faster? (I've bn doing boxing/muai thai for roughly 2 years through school once a week, and fencing about 5 years.) I find myself to be more of a counter fighter but I often get pushed into the corner because I move back too much. If you have any tips I'd greatly appreciate them. Thanks for your vids, theyre some of the best on yt

    Hey Shane , can u do a video on Shaolin kung fu?
    Cuz it s the most complete style n best
    Also their conditioning
    Their dedication alone should put an end to the debate of how real fighters they really are , cuz literally they do it every single day like spending way more on it then a pro fighter .
    It includes all things needed in a fight . Even parkour . Also weapons
    So can u do a video on the shaolins ?
    Shaolins would win against an mma fighter . I m sure of that
    They just don t compete for belts .

    • @redeemernigoohaem9735
      @redeemernigoohaem9735 7 років тому

      Arnold Gabe i think it does
      These guyz dwell on this for 1600 years as a lifestyle
      Surely they understand the importance of grappling

    • @redeemernigoohaem9735
      @redeemernigoohaem9735 7 років тому

      quietstorm1977 here is my resume
      i used to think when i was little kung fu movies can be real
      I used to do an average shadow box of 30 min per day until i was 18
      I copyed every van damme n bruce lee move .
      I did soccer n handball in the primary n highschool team
      After that , until i was 28 i tought they were fake . N would never work
      I took private street fighter, mma when i was 28 for the first time for a year
      Then 6 months box , 6 months kickbox. Then for 2 y i do mma .
      Guess what . They are not hocus pocus bs or fake
      These , martial arts , work
      I know mma is obviously dangerous , but in a no holds barred fight , i would bet on a shaolin monk any day .
      It s not fake .

    • @redeemernigoohaem9735
      @redeemernigoohaem9735 7 років тому

      quietstorm1977 oh
      U mean yi long ?
      I dunno if he is real monk . Though he seems like it
      He fought maybe the best muay thai ( senchai s rival ) n almost won
      Some say he is renegade monk
      Aikido doesn t work ?
      Maybe cuz the practicioners don t have direct link to the art
      Aikido works
      Plus aikido can be used as an addition , not main art
      Even boxing . A boxer leaves his legs open to attack or he is opened to takedowns
      Boxing only works against amateurs ( just like aikido )
      A boxer would fail vs a muay thai pro or a wrestler
      This is proof enough or not ?
