I'm with you on movies like this.. Its a GODZILLA movie so what do you really expect? We watched the Japanese voice over Godzilla movies as a kid and they were pretty awful, but dang it, it was Godzilla getting in on! That being said, this is still a rental for me. Hey Andrew! Picked this up on Vudu in 4k Atmos when it came out. Great picture quality, thought HDR was awesome, night time shots look great. Atmos soundtrack will give your system a great workout. Will definitely pick this up on disc. This movie is just a fun ride!

I haven't been a fan of these new monster movies but I'm tempted on this one just to give my Atmos setup a good workout after all the lackluster "Atmouse" releases. I'm hoping the Apocalypse Now mix will be demo worthy so I'll wait for your review on that one first. Thanks as always.

Look I do not watch Godzilla movies for the story and it usually doesn't need a great or coherent one. But those movie also do not cost 170 to 180 million to make. Now if the hardcore fans we're enough to make it financially a success great but they are clearly not.
@@ARMediaOfficial Trying to find it is hit or miss. Best Buy had 2 copies and the employee that gave me mine said he was keeping the last. One Wal-Mart didn't order it, then after I got it I was in a smaller Walmart that NEVER has foreign releases and literally only orders 8 new release blurays at a time, yet they had 6 copies of Shadow on 4K! Anyway, its a beautiful movie! Good story and beautifully shot.

Every review is pretty good but i dont know i didnt feel it was popping as i was expecting and the definition is often overshadowed by some fake dust created by artificial grain? Not impressed with this one 😅
This movie was all about the monsters and that was pretty darn fantastic. Anyone looking for story and/or character development will need to look elsewhere. LOL Anyway, I'll wait for a holiday sale to pick it up but I am definitely adding it to my 4K collection.
I beg to differ on the story. The directors said that this KoTM would be less human story centric. That is a flat out lie. Is there a need to have even a little bit? considering it’s a monster movie?! Humans have a little less screen time but the acting is god awful

Hello in godzilla i only have DVD player would still get deep bass with DVD ? I have 5.1 system .
I found the movie much weaker than Godzilla (2014) but I am still getting this for the FX. I pre-ordered the 3D/4K-combo from France.
Story and acting was a lot weaker for sure

Just got the open matte version upscaled it to 4k full screen is so much better. Looks very nice but as the guy says very childish written
