  • The Special Task Force Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), on Wednesday, met with key stakeholders from Bokkos and Mangu local government areas of Plateau State, following the recent resurgence of killing in the areas.
The meeting among other things followed the night attacks on Saturday, that killed fifteen people, including a student of Plateau State University, Bokkos, in communities of Mangu and Bokkos.
This is not the first time security agencies would be engaging stakeholders over the recurrent killings in communities of Bokkos, Barikin Ladi and Mangu local government areas of the state.
The General Officer Commanding 3 Division Nigerian Army, and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN, Major General AE Abubakar, said that the meeting with representatives from both farming and Fulani communities as well as traditional leaders, was aimed at addressing the latest security concerns in some parts of the state, expressing displeasure over the recurring breach of security, which has resulted in the deaths of innocent civilians.
The commander said triggers of conflict in the state must be adequately addressed to prevent further breakdown of law and order.
