    I just bought a variegated adansonii and watched close to 10 videos from different content creators and I can confidently say this is the best by miles. Thank you!

    All of mine end up throwing all white leaves :(
    You might benefit using silica on those monsteras with the brown leaves.

    • @adansoniia
      @adansoniia  6 місяців тому

      I've heard good things baout silica, but never went around to trying them. In my experience if a plant has too much white for it to sustain for a longer period of time they will brown either way. But yeah adansonii's are sadly known/prone to this sometimes :(

      Care to tell me more? Usually you'll need to cut the leaves and sanitize the plant.

    What percentage of humidity do you recommend? Please :)

    • @adansoniia
      @adansoniia  6 місяців тому

      I'd say above 50% is ideal for any general plants :) They grow faster and unfurl leaves better in higher humidity tho!

    How often do you water?once a week?twice a week?

    • @adansoniia
      @adansoniia  Рік тому

      It mainly depends on the temperatures. Currently it's about once every 10-14 days, during summer it's once per week :)

    I bought a couple albo, and aureas since I've gotten them I feel like I've been failing .. They keep dropping leafs. I had them in perlite and under a grow light in my little cabinet. Have a little humidifier. I my cabinet as well. I had them on a higher shelf, they leafs were burning, so I moved them down. Hoping it would help. Any suggestions. Please and thank you.

      @adansoniia  Рік тому

      Could be the lack of nutrients from keeping them in perilte - it's not sustainable for longer periods of time, without fertilising. Plants will also sacrifice older leaves to get the nutrients for new ones. Pot them in chunky aroid mix and do some gentle fertilising :)

    Hi, my adansonii variegated's new leaves turn minty too. Do i need to expose it to more light for the variegation (silky white) to return

    • @adansoniia
      @adansoniia  6 місяців тому

      I'd say yes generally :) Sometimes they can be a bit iffy

      Hi I have a few cuttings here and there but the prices have fallen so much I practically give them out for free at this point

  • @scotto74

    Great video!! It answered a lot of my questions. I just recently received a 2 leaf un-rooted top cutting with a high amount of variegation - I was wondering if you think it is better to separate the leaves for propagation or do they have a better change of surviving by keeping them as one cutting? Thank you!

    • @adansoniia
      @adansoniia  2 роки тому

      At first I would keep them as one, and If that doesn’t work out you can always cut it later!

    • @adansoniia
      @adansoniia  Рік тому

      Honestly IMHO enough light for long enough does the biggest difference :) Added humidity also helps! And temps - mine have slowed down a bit during winter now.
