Thanks, Emil :). I normally speak more slowly and clearly in videos because I get a lot of comments from people saying that they like that. Plus there's also the option to speed up videos, and I think a "sped up" video sounds better than a "slowed down" video. :D

Congratulations on this achievement Max! You deserve one million! I have been watching your videos probably since early 2016 when I embarked on this journey of moving to a different country. The most important part of that was to develop a good English level. You have been part of this journey. Each video helped me to get better, to learn more, to understand different aspects of the language. Watching you talk in many other languages inspired me to give my best. You have been a great teacher, and inspiration all this time. And all that for free!

Wow! I believe when I started following your channel, you had maybe around 2 or 3 thousand subscribers. It would seem that you have gained quite a following over the years. I think that's a considerable compliment to what you do here and to how beneficial people find your content. If I weren't a native speaker, I believe I'd find your lessons to be invaluable because of your method of explanation. I think your straight forward style of teaching makes everything very easy to understand. Speaking for myself, even I have gained some remedial benefits from a few of your lessons. ;)

CONGRATULATIONS MY UA-cam BEAUTIFUL TEACHER......YOU'VE DESERVED THAT......KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.....can I suggest you to teach some commonly used expressions of native English expressions in daily life, maybe make it by category (for instance common expression at work, at home, at the party, at the market etc...) most Asian and other non native English speakers are more interested to learn those things so we can easily negotiate, communicate and understand clearly what that native speaker wants to express. Thank you so much. I really liked all your previous videos I keep watching them all again and again...very meaningful and useful. I also share to some of my friends in Thailand.
I believe you are talking about 'idioms.' They are the commonly used expressions. Max has done some videos on idioms. I believe that learning idioms is one of the hardest parts of learning any language. It is also one of the most important in understanding a native speaker.

Hi ! First I have to congratulate you for the 100K subscribers that you truly deserve. I am a french-canadian. People say I speak english like a brithish others ask me where I learnt my english Unlike other canadianss, I don't use use 'hey' in every sentence. Unlike canadians and united staters,I prononce can't like a british, and I also say twenty instead of twenny.. I speak an international french because I respect my language and so do I respect the english language, So, I never use 'slang' in english nor 'joual' in french. Have a good day !

(btw I also love learning languages) I had the glandular fever and never heard of it or it’s possible consequences before… I would love to hear how you personally deal with CFS because it is such an underestimated virus and even doctors barely know about it…

Hi Leriah! I'm so sorry to hear that! I made a full recovery using the Lightning Process. It's still a little bit controversial. If you Google it, most things you read will probably be negative, but it seems like most criticisms come from people who haven't even done the course. It's based on the idea that CFS works in a similar way to chronic pain. In other words, your body isn't "broken", but your brain is triggering physical symptoms because it has gotten stuck in an overprotective (yet unhelpful) cycle. Scientists now know that that's how chronic pain works, but it's technically still a theory for CFS because of a lack of research.

Sure. My camera is the Panasonic Lumix FZ300.
For this video I used the Rode Video Mic Pro Plus for the first time. For my other videos (apart from the very early ones), I used the Rode Video Micro (with a deadcat).
I'm not sure if there's much of a difference in the sound quality... ?
I normally did noise reduction while editing, but nothing else.
@@EnglishwithMax Thanks a lot! I know that Rode is one of the best mics for a voice. I’m just looking for a nice setup for a video recording.
BTW, I’ve noticed that there’s a difference between the sound in the sets and in the quizzes on your Udemy language course. For the quizzes your voice sounds a bit quiet.

I know... I used a different microphone for the quizzes and at the time I didn't know how to properly use the microphone settings on my computer. It was as loud as I could get it. 🤦♀️😅
