Watching your videos got me way into warthunder and I've picked up some knowledge along the way. So far really like Sweden and their weird shenanigans like the Bkan and STRV-103. Would love to see a vid on the 103 if you haven't covered it already. Fun little Rat-mobile of a tank.
Just to give you some tips for other nations, most nations have wacky stuff like the Swedes but due to their larger tech trees you have to go looking for them.
@@SchrodingerMil I started off Germany but dropped off at late Rank 2 around the pz. IVs. I initially wanted the Gepard and ATGM Wiesel out of them. Russia is about the same BR. I mainly want to get the BTR and maybe a T-72/T-80 for the end game with them. Any other countries that aren't US(I don't want sherman hell) that have either big cannon Tank destroyers that dont have an abysmal reload time or any fast zippy boys with autocannons? I wanted the LAV-AD and Bradley but I dont care to slog through shermans like I mentioned earlier.
@@Neuromancer-r9z to get through the US tree, you can basically use tank destroyers and light tanks with one Sherman of your choice to not have to suffer through 900 Sherman’s. Hellcats go brr. I myself loved the HELL out of the m56 once I learned how to play it. Germany and Russia are a bit harder to play as a fast weird player because their ww2 doctrine basically were the opposite of what you want. However, the long grind through the German tech tree should be your end goal. Their post WW2 doctrine was fast tanks focusing on flanking, the Marder, gepard, leopard, all seem to be your style. The PUMA is the best auto cannon vehicle in the game IMO. If they bring it back/you pay for it, you can also use the puma along side the Vilkas which has the same gun as well as Israeli javelins. Again with Germany, their reloads are kind of long but you can have a lot of fun with their two lines of tank destroyers, I still bring Emil out to 6.7 games. If you want to push through Russia, they have a lot of wacky stuff like the PT76 and ZSU 57, but you’ll have to push through WW2 for them for the most part. France has a lot of wacky stuff as well, but I’m not deep into their tree, you might want to check them yourself. If you REALLY like the game, and have the funds for it, buying golden eagles and using them to spend your free research points will let you skip through ALOT of the mid game.
If you want to try wacky stuff you could go to either France, Italy or Japan, basically the minor countries. I'd recommend italy or much better france as a jap main, the amount of pain you'll gain playing the French tech tree is significantly less than the Japanese one. Unless you're a masochist. Edit: I saw that you like big guns that don't have a massive reload, I only know the Bkan and the type 99 in the Japanese tree, which might be a hard to get to.
@SchrodingerMil I've seen some videos on the Puma and it looks fun. I like fast moving and fast firing vehicles and long range tank destroyers. The medium-heavy gameplay is alright but not my favorite. Part of why I left Germany for awhile once I hit the Pz.IVs. I've dumped some money on the snail but mostly for premium, bushes, and buying crew slots. I've used some towards research, but just small amounts when I was close to unlocking a tank. I've thought about using some to max out reload and tank driving on some of my crews. I did also buy the premium Swedish Sherman since it's pretty decent at its BR and regular tanks are few and far between until you hit 9.0 with the Swedes(excluding the Pz.IV and T-34) I also bought the premium strv-103-0. I know I can get a non-premium version of it but I really like the design so I'll probably run both of them. I'm also familiar with the PT-76 and Pbv 501 from the sweden tree and that's definitely the kind of vehicle I like. Fast and kinda squishy but fires a big enough round to actually hurt something bigger.

Look up a settings guide for your keyboard or controller. Look at vids on how to play certain tanks. Use the armor viewing option to see where you can pen other tanks
