Good walking tour in downtown Santa cruz. I lived there for 6 years. It is a county still with contrast. The homeless, the upper midle class and regular workers. It has Its own magic. I will miss you forever S.C. Greetings from Mexico City.
Home sweet homre I live at the Palomar Inn and half the people walking are my neighbors and i know everyone of the venders Its a really great place to live and visit and its the most dog friendky town youll ever come too
Born and raised here now in Florida for 8 years . Santa Cruz is beautiful but has a lot of issues 😢downtown looks the same pretty much ….some stores are different and some had to shut down . One half is still Grugier than the other….be safe always …. A lot of people on drugs and mentally unstable….. Always be aware of your surroundings . I miss my family, the food and some people 😅the weather is amazing too …..hope California gets better not worse then I might come back
Wow! Right after the Catalyst moved to where it is now. I wonder if Jack's Burgers is still there by the Nickelodeon and Red Church? Looks like it kept some of the vibe at least. But Tom Scribner... That's a name I haven't thought about for a while. I miss hanging out at Otto's Surf Shop when I was a little kid. Always wanted that Superman board out in front. We'd go to the arcade in the boardwalk till one of us did something crazy and got us all chased out. Good times.
Lived in santa cruz till I was 16, I visit my brothers every year...Ive seen it go down hill. Still a very beautiful place to visit* but its like Santa Barbara, LA ect ect... Lost its cool small family shops for brand name stores. Very expensive...food is outragious unless you know how and where to shop as a local. And if you are a local all you want is for the tourists to leave. And dont get me started on the drugs, homelessness.
Oh no! Are you insane! Are you really going to walk through the pure hell of yet another Blue California city. Stay far away - for your own safety. Buhhahahaha!
I lived in Santa Cruz for a few years and I miss it! So much character in such a small place
Moved to Hawaii for ten years.. ready to move back.. most majestic life I ever had there
Would you have dated me?

Remminds me of my youth , walking with my g.f. opened an office after the loma prieta earthquake. Some bbldg were damaged
Can remember watching them take the wrecking ball to the Cooper House after the '89 quake.
