- Here is a video of the Haval H6 Ultra AWD. Showing a general drive and the features such as the lane keep assist and centering, active cruise control, traffic jam assist, intelligent driving, acceleration test & sports mode.
This car has better parking cameras than most premium brands. It's amazing. You can see they didn't add features just for the sake of adding features. They are QUALITY features. Usually with a car so well priced with so much features, you'll see the cost cutting in the quality of the features. Not so here. Well done to Haval. They've shown just how overpriced other manufacturers are.
Their camera and auto pilot is a direct copy from tesla. Test drove H6 ultra last week, seriously thinking of buying the hybrid

Picked up my ultra recently, feels and looks premium everywhere, so much tech and power, very comfortable, love it

@AQ My partner & I are highly considering the Haval H6 Ultra but like many others, it’s almost as if it’s “Too good to be true” because of how loaded the car is with features for such a small price (compared to other leading car brands). How are you finding yours now that it’s been a few months & would you recommend it to others? Cheers 👍🏼
@@jamesconroy3001 I would definitely recommend it. I had quit a few friends sitting in it and totally amazed by the build quality of it, the GWM ute Cannon just got 5 star ANCAP rating a couple of days ago, won't be long before H6 gets it. If I have to pick a down side, when the car is on a bit of slope, it will slide back a little bit if no acceleration and turn off auto hold, but I guess it is nature of DCT transmission. I compared it with similar cars in this category, it is absolute no brainer, the feature and design is way better comparing to others which cost extra 20K AUD, people say I might get low resell value, I tell them don't forget to add the 20k you saved in your pocket to the selling price
Picked up my ulta yesterday and have say one of the best Cars I have had EVER. loving the tech and looking forward to taking out on a long trip next week. you would this SUV and put all other brands on notice in the Australia market

Hey matt, thanks for all these videos, they are really helpful.
One thing to ask, are there any minor annoying things that you would only know by driving for a while, like the thing you said about the turning angle, anything else that is a bit annoying but not necessarily a deal breaker.
Also the sky in the video is one hell of an ad to visit Australia, the weather looks beautiful.
I picked up one of these two weeks ago, once you learn all the technical details, they really are an amazing car..
Ah, i just realized your in Dapto driving down Old Princess Hwy & Darkes Rd. I just picked up a Blue H6 Ultra Hybrid. Wouldn't mind catching up one day. I live in the other end of Dapto.
The software, camera quality, lane keep and adaptive cruise is very similar to that of tesla which is the best in the market.
Hey Matt, appreciate these in depth videos. After owning the car for this long any reoccurring glitches or grievances with the vehicle? The infotainment system seems to be lacking a bit. Currently looking at the new Kia Sportage and Mitsubishi Outlander and Haval H6 Ultra. Thanks in advance.
Great reviews of the systems,i just bought a h6 ultra for the mrs and the kids, picking it up on the weekend! I will be watching your videos to guide me in learning and teaching the wife how to use all the features. She reckons that all the feature wont get used as she is an old school driver. Lol
Lane keeping assist that turns off when you most need it seems insane. If for some reason I can't put my hands on the wheel I want the car to slow to a stop not simply turn off the safety feature.
Haval Jolion slows down and puts hazard lights on, do not know if it completely stops though
About the lane assist. I tested with cruise on, hands off the wheel at 100km/hr. After the red alert cruise control was disabled, speed gradually slowed down, hazard light goes off... I didn't wait till it stops... may be will try when the freeway is absolutely free! 😅
Can anyone tell me is the reliable?
I just booked Ultra 4wd burgundy todya, waited a week too long, the 2022 model has gone up by $1k and another hike coming in 3 months due to unprecedented demand!
Haval just taking advantage of the stock shortages. Give in a year when stock clears back up - the dealers will be dropping their pants again.
It's been 2 months since I got it. up to now, everything is wonderful
Just one thing, the wireless charger doesn't work I don't know may be from my phone
Not all phones support wireless charging so hopefully it’s just that. Maybe try a friends phone

I know this video was released a while ago, but interesting about the hands on warning as we have a Jolion and it warns then puts hazard lights on and slows down.
Thanks for the video, on the fence with this car, looks amazing and not looking for anything flash, my only concerns are parts availability after warranty ends and reliability but with every video I watch I’m getting closer to buying one
7 year unlimited km warranty. Sell it before the end.

Hi Matt. Thanks for the great videos and information. I live in South Africa and have just purchased the 2wd luxury version (one tier down from yours). I placed a large box in the road to test the collision avoidance system, but the box just got killed outright. Do you have any idea how the system works? Just another quick question...... Do you have problems or issues with yours slowing right down to around 70km/h on a gentle curve when using speed control? I must admit, it does irritate me a little. Any tips?

I don’t have an android so can’t tell you. I have an iPhone and CarPlay works great and I’ve had no issues with the Bluetooth or microphone.
Will ELK come on if there are no lines on a road ? First drive of ours yesterday and ELK kept bonging and the road had no lines marked as it was a 'back road' Good informative videos so far mate

Not at this stage. There has been an update rolled out in South Africa to remove it but nothing in Australia.
So it’s like having your partner in passenger seat 100% of the time. Great!!!
I have a MY 21 Jolion, similar features to the H6, but I find that it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to use Cruise Control because of the EXTREME interference of the LKA!! Do you find this also??
It’s not the LKA it’s the Cruise Cornering feature. In South Africa an update was released to disable Thai feature. Australia Haval is currently working on an update to fix the issues.

How is the dual clutch?
My partner has a Kia seltos and just had to have repairs because the dual clutch overheated the motor at low speeds, we were stuck in traffic for about 20 minutes at crawling speed, had to get it towed and everything
Have you had any experience like this with the dual clutch in the ultra?

I just got my ultra today and the cars don’t appear on my screen either.
@@kattay2034 hi, I eventually worked it out. On the cruise control function on the steering wheel you can activate traffic jam assist. It shows the cars on the speed screen, when on it can control speed and lane assist.

Matt, I watched several car channel reviews on the H6 all suggesting it's well screwed together with no rattles and squeaks. Has that been your experience ? The H6 seems to be pretty quiet mostly.
I have one and love driving it. It is a very comfortable car to drive and all the safety tech is hard to beat for the price.
no rattles squeaks at all (actually not sure why you think there might be), feels very premium and comfortable
Does your model have the sunroof? Heard a few people say the blind let's too much sun in summer..
Can you turn the indicator volume down?
Hi Matt, do you know how the passengers can lock the door from inside? I know they can pull the door handle two times from inside to unlock but not sure how to lock? Cheers
I test drove this last week and from memory the lock/unlock is on the driver side. You can set the car to lock when you reach a certain speed.
@@thebarkingpig5773 hi mate. Yes as you said the locking is only at the driver's side but when passengers want to lock their door from inside it seems we don't have that option which is not good.

My experience with the sound system is limited but they are a good set up, far superior to what the Jolion get.

No, other regions have had a software update and Haval Australia are aware that the update is available and are “looking into it”

I think this one is a all wheel drive and all wheel drive is different to four-wheel-drive because four-wheel-drive you can change into two wheel drive but all wheel drive constantly son‘s power to all four wheels

Nope no memory seat. A real let down but the Australian market didn’t get this even though the China market does have this.

Like I have mentioned in another video, I have disabled the feature because it’s annoying and useless for me. It can’t be exited when active so if you have your indicator on at a traffic light you cannot change your radio or air conditioning as the AVM is showing.

I bought a 2 wd ultra . Terrible in any sort of wet weather. Front tyres spin. Almost undriveable

No it doesn’t. Not an option. I think it is in China but the infotainment system is very closed in AUS

I own a Sorento (wife’s car) and the Haval. They aren’t really comparable. The Sorento is much larger, 7 seats and diesel, also $30k more for the GT, which is the only Sorento worth buying.
Does the Jolion have good power to overtake on the highway?
This is the H6. I have never driven the Jolion

Hi matt looks like your are enjoying your H6. I am just after your honest opinion about this. I live in Alice Springs and the only thing stoppong me to buy this car is that we dont have a dealer here so i am concerned about the service and these software updates. Even if i find a local mechanice that doesnt hurt the warranty these software updates would be a pain if they are too regular and i have to drive 1500k either up to Darwin or down to Adelaide to get that fixed.
I’ve never been to Alice Springs and my dealer is 10 minutes from my house so it’s hard for me to comment. I’d have to be honest and say without a dealer nearby I wouldn’t be jumping into bed with any carmaker that can’t give you remote support. If I was you id be looking at cars with a proven track record and easy access to repairs, not saying there is anything wrong with the H6 but it is a brand new platform and brand new car, there will be teething issues as there is with any new car. Surely everyone in the Alice just had a Landcruiser anyway.
@@wimudi Surprisingly we have a lot of car dealers here in Alice. Toyota, Mitsubishi, Holden, Mazda looked after by 1 big company Honda, Suzuki, Ford and Isuzu by 1 company. Kia, Subaru dealership are also present along with Range Rover service & Mercedes service centres. You will be surprised but we few Teslas in town as well but 4x4 are the dominant ones

Does your mate own one? Had he even driven one? Has he actually ever seen one in real life? I can’t tell anyone what to do, but go have a look and test the quality for yourself.

Fuel consumption, fuel consumption and fuel consumption. Can you do a proper calculation of how many litres per 100 KM. Do not rely on trip computer. I always clearout trip B and fill up fuel full at first click and stop at the pump and refill to full at first stop. Use the total litres divided by total KMs on trip B to give me fuel figure. Thanks.
I’ve said in my other videos. I don’t monitor nor do I care about fuel consumption. Too many factors, the driver being the main. It states 8.3l/100km on the sticker and my experience hasn’t been too far from that. If you want to save 50 cents on fuel a week, go buy the more expensive and underpowered Tucson.
@@wimudi Hi Matt no offence but I have 2013 1.8l i30 auto and it's fuel consumption is terrible at 9.5l per 100 KM vs my Mazda3 at 7l per 100km. So every week i30 is about $15 more to run in fuel. Hyundai is definitely not a brand I will consider again.
I honestly don’t monitor fuel. Good on you for doing it. But when buying a car there are a million more important things for me to consider before worrying about fuel economy. Perhaps you should buy a Tesla.
Hi George. I bought an H6 3 days ago and took a trip. I managed a 750km trip on a tank of fuel. Speed control set on around 125-130km/h and AC on the whole way. I was pretty impressed. I am in South Africa, and I have the 2wd luxury (one spec below Matts' ULTRA)

Congrats on ur new h6, my work mate bought haval, cant remember model 2/3 yrs back, there were trouble after 6/8 months n guys at service could not fix at instance. My personal view, i do not prefer Chinese cars, better buy Japanese car. Never had any problem with my Nissan since i bought 6 yrs back. Will def. be Japanese car next.
