Looking at all the players in this list, Grosso was so incredibly significant to Italy winning in 2006. Won the penalty against Australia, scored the last minute go-ahead goal in the semi-final against Germany, and scored the game winning penalty. Add to that the fact he was part of the defence which only allowed 2 goals in the entire tournament (1 penalty and 1 own-goal).
