i went to this game at the big-A and watched ohtani pitch. his 100 mph fastballs looked like a bullet. not an angels fan by any stretch, but i respect this guy who gets my nod for the cy young for having the huevos to not duck competitive teams or tough pitching matchups, a disease that's been going around in baseball this year with other top starters in favor of padding their stats against patsies or inexperienced opposition
This is what i noticed about guys last with high win numbers this year. Comparatively, Ohtani seems to be up against the other team's ace or 2nd best each and every time he's starts
Ohtani lead the first run with a double. He scored a second run. He kept the Mariners scoreless for 7 innings. It's just unbelievable how he can make impacts on both ends.
@@fachriranu1041 that's what makes him a unicorn. 7 scoreless innings and drove in 1 and scored the other. By seasons end, he should have 30+ bombs and 200+ strikeouts.
On most other teams, Shohei would be 17-7 as pitcher by now. Crazy how many strikeouts he has in so little IPs...no wonder he leads the MLB with 12 Ks per 9 IP...MVP!
Yeah, here's an entire video of pitchers doing that. ua-cam.com/video/hlF9b346K94/v-deo.html It's normal for a pitcher to be able to field a ball that's hit at him. That's what they're wearing that glove for. You'll notice none of the announcers call it 'inhuman'. It's just a good play. @@brindlebucker4741 But this wasn't hit at him, he had to stretch in the blink of an eye to snag that one. Most on the video link you provided (thanks) were hit straight back at the pitcher and they were just protecting themselves but there were some great catches as well.
Mr. Cohen can sign Shohei for $50 or $75 million a year Do it for the Mets Mr. Cohen 🙏 😬 Jacob deGrom ➡ Max Scherzer ➡ Shohei Ohtani 😳😮😲😱 Shohei Ohtani is the perfect free agent signing! We need another power hitting bat + an ACE Pitcher 1 signing & the Mets are COMPLETE!
Ohtani Sandoval Suarez Detmers Looks like a great young core. Would look good with maybe 1 or 2 more starters but it's not like it's a bad rotation. A lot of the issue with the Angels stems down to bad coaching and player development, and fairly poor depth. Duffy at 3rd is not a very conducive for an offense. Adell needs to develop WAY more. Until Logan O'hoppe gets called up, catcher is also an offensive void. Rengifo, Ward, and Moniak have been the only offensive bright spots outside of Trout and Ohtani
Baseball is the most boring sport for me to watch until Ohtani came along changed all that. He is the reason why I watch baseball and start to know what all those ERA means
Aaron Judge can never strikeout hitters. Ohtani is MVP.

My highlight was Trout trying to diving catch the two base in the 8th inning.
Shohei Ohtani the Pitcher:
2.43 ERA, 7 IP, 107 P, 8K, BB, 0 R, 3H
Shohei Ohtani the Hitter:
RBI, RUN, BB
Shohei almost single-handedly won a game. MVP!! MVP!!

The new 100 mph sinker make Shotime unhittable adding to his arsenal.
I'm tired of hearing that Ohtani doesn't play defense from Yankee fans, Bullxxt!
MVP!!
MVP Shohei Ohtani Showtime 1 An 1 RBI 7 innings 3 hits 1 walk 8k season Congratulations on winning 13 games🎉🎉🎉 2 wins left until 15 wins!
And that double by Ohtani was just inches away from being a homerun.
It's obvious by now that Both players should be MVP
Shohei and Ohtani
That was really a nice one!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
We may never see another batter-pitcher phnom again in our lifetime

SHOHEI!!!
Ohtani is way more "valuable" than judge.
Sorry for Judge, but you're still not up to Ohtani level.
Maybe three games left pitching for Shohei this season. Who's gonna entirely deny his 15 wins and CY possibilities .... and?
Judge is chasing history. Ohtani IS the history. Easy MVP pick.
I swear if Ohtani doesn't win MVP...
MR DO IT ALL👍
#FreeOhtani
This off-season is crucial. Minasian needs to make some big moves. Otherwise it's sayonara time. 👋
Angels are so bad, man. Don't deserve trout and ohtani
If Judge is MVP, it's sympathy vote.
Which will be higher next year's salary, Judge or Ohtani?
USA bias, Judge get higher salary.
If Ohtani continues to be a 2 way player hes going to be a HOF if you are a card collector id sit on some Ohtani cards
Poor kirby had no help on offense
Well neither did Shohei but he had to get his runs by himself.
Splitter with that slider….good luck

@@Rylopero the problem always bullpen and Suarez+ Dertmer not good enough in the beginning of season.
Pitching isn't the problem. Look at the stats. The offense is the issue this year. Near the bottom in most categories.
The problem is the pitchers. They only have a few good pitchers. They have good hitters but it’s the bullpen
why do yankees not resign with judge?
They did offer him, Judge bet on himself. He's gonna make so much more money now. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
