I saw the picture of Qays Qayser, my favourite youtuber and the title Hargeisa my city then I watched what happened to you and I'm sorry bro that you don't know the visa requirements of Somaliland. You spoke well and you gained experience and also new friends who joined your channel and I am one of them. Welcome again. The important message is that the offices who issued the tickets and also the immigration staff at Addisababa Bole airport should advise the passengers about the visa requirements for the country they are going to.
So are these “visa requirements” only for ajanabis? I’ve been to Hargeisa 3 times in my life each time I’ve been there it has been more than 6 months. All I had to do was book a ticket and pay 60 dollars to the customs people. Mind you I have an American Passport.
When Africans enter an Arab or European or American country, visas are required for them, But most of the countries I mentioned above do not need a visa to enter Africa, When they arrive at Africa Airport, a red carpet is rolled out for them, When the African people and diplomats arrive at the airport of the countries I mentioned above, the immigration officers treat them so badly, most of the time they are denied entry and sent back to their country, so All African governments should come together to change this.
Yes indeed, but in the Horn of Africa some governments are focusing on the safety of the visitor, which starts from arriving, thats why it required to have the needed documentaction, like who you eill be with to be assured that evrrthing can be trasable incase something went wrong... I was denied entry to Australia, with EU passport, on some obscure technicality. Honestly if countries make it so hard for tourism, it's their loss. I took my vacation in New Zealand instead.

I know plenty of people who come into Somaliland with a simple visa. Lots of my foreign visitors do. I noticed that Blackman was wearing shorts and had an interesting hairstyle. This is probably the reason why you were denied entry as you were accompanying him and they used the letter as an excuse. It’s a strict Wahhabi Islamic country that use Sharia law (kind of like Afghanistan to a certain extent)and they don’t tolerate things like women without a headscarf or men in shorts. A diaspora woman was arrested for simply wearing trousers instead of a dress 2 years ago. If you observe the airport official at 3:58, he observes Blackman , looks at his shorts and then approaches Qays, the Somali UA-camr, points at the shorts and talks to him to probably say something like that he will may not be allowed entry. It’s a bit backward but that’s what we have to deal with. Anyway, trust me, you didn’t miss out on much. Somaliland is welcoming( once you gain entry) but is far, far from being touristy.
You can go to the Mission of Somaliland in Addis Ababa and get the visa there, this year security has been tight at Somaliland Airports because of the situation in Las Anod, and there are Somalilanders some of them who are with the SSC in Las Anod, who are saying that Somaliland committed war crimes, and the immigration are keeping an eye out for them.

I know plenty of people who come into Somaliland with a simple visa. Lots of my foreign visitors do. I noticed that Blackman was wearing shorts and had an interesting hairstyle. This is probably the reason why you were denied entry as you were accompanying him and they used the letter as an excuse. It’s a strict Wahhabi Islamic country that use Sharia law (kind of like Afghanistan to a certain extent)and they don’t tolerate things like women without a headscarf or men in shorts. A diaspora woman was arrested for simply wearing trousers instead of a dress 2 years ago. If you observe the airport official at 3:58, he observes Blackman , looks at his shorts and then approaches Qays, the Somali UA-camr, points at the shorts and talks to him to probably say something like that he will may not be allowed entry. It’s a bit backward but that’s what we have to deal with. Anyway, trust me, you didn’t miss out on much. Somaliland is welcoming( once you gain entry) but is far, far from being touristy.

You can go to the Mission of Somaliland in Addis Ababa and get the visa there, this year security has been tight at Somaliland Airports because of the situation in Las Anod, and there are Somalilanders some of them who are with the SSC in Las Anod, who are saying that Somaliland committed war crimes, and the immigration are keeping an eye out for them.
