Graeme always mentions this, but the fact that they go through dozens or hundreds of cows every day, and only a handful have serious problems(almost always natural) speaks for how well taken care of they are.
I always smile when I learn that an individual in a good sized herd, has earned the love and attention of someone - and possibly even a name as well. To any herd, each individual has a name which we humans will never know. It’s just special when one particular animal stands out and bonds with someone. I applaud George for being so lucky to have a favorite cow!
I always thought that ketchup came from tomatoes grown in the fields, but now I’m learning that they actually come from cows’ hoofs (and occasionally pranksters too 😉)! Thanks for being so educational!

I love how much you guys enjoy eachother's company. I have two employees who I absolutely love. We work together to find ways to improve our process and we have tons of fun together. I look forward to Monday because of these two awesome people who have become my closest friends. We celebrate eachother's victories and support one another when we are struggling. It's a beautiful thing.

We've got a 280ft by 120ft barn built for milk cows in the 70s. Now it's got about 40 Angus (semital) cows their calves and a bull. The smell in summer in intense in summer and down right choaking when the fruit delivered from cannery starts to ferment. Fortunately it rained this evening and cooled down the mess. The cows love the fermented juice. Happy cows, happy calves. Love the show! Cow toes are intriguing.
My grandfather used to call me George when I was a little girl and he called my sisters Fred and Joe. My last memory of him was when I was 12 and he was staying with us while awaiting heart surgery. He tucked me in, kissed me on the forehead and said "Nite-nite George. I love ya.". He passed away that night and we girls didn't hear a thing. He would have wanted it that way.
Mine called me tadpole and instead of "nite nite" it was "have a good day at school" He raised me and was really sick by the end but he managed to hold on enough the last day to tell me goodbye I was 11 when he died and I was also the last person he talked to
😢 There is nothing more special than a loving Grandpa. When my husband passed my grandkids were 21 twins and 27. They are still broken three years later. Bless your heart, I’m sorry for your loss 💕💕💕

I live in New Zealand, grew up in the Waikato ( a serious farming community), now live up north, currently manage an early learning centre and am in no way imaginable remotely someone who even resembles a farmer. To be fair most kiwis have an understanding of farming, but it’s not a given. I went to work last week and told my colleagues that they had to see this channel. They both already knew it well and we spent the next half an hour relaying our most memorable episodes to each other. Just thought you’d like to know.

I watched a video of a man trimming a cows hooves and they tied it up on the ground using dull trimmers tearing most of them off and a huge sickle like dull knife and the poor cows hooves were pouring blood when they got thru. Same with their donkey trimming. Felt so sorry for the animals

It was these puppets who would cheerfully sing this song "Don't you put it in your mouth, don't you stuff it in your face. Though it might look good to eat, though it might look good to eat, don't you put it in your mouth!" it was pretty annoying though possibly helpful as I did have a little brother and I don't think he ever did put anything in his mouth . . . aside from a box of donuts if we were dumb enough to leave them within reach of him. We have a very cute picture of him at 2 years old with his sticky tummy trying to offer mom a donut he had just been slobbering on. We can't say he didn't try to share. 🤣

@@inspiteofshame totally agree, sadly though the over use of chemicals is doing so souch damage to our immune systems, it's bad enough that kids don't go out to play as much as they used to but many are now kept in homes that are as close to sterile as poss then they kids go out they pick up every single germ going and get really ill from it cos their bodies can't cope as well as they could when kids used to play outside and do stuff like eat mud pies or drink from garden hoses (done all this and more when I was a kid lol, even when i was a vet nurse we used to often stand in the door way while the vet cleaned a abscess out chatting to the vet while eating a biscuit or having a cuppa lol)
