- The Zenith 750SDX build is finally back on the priority list and I am thinking about doing a 30 day "something every day" video series for January. It will be more of a reality in some ways because life is always throwing curves into our plans and I may not be able to make progress every single day. It should help create some motivation to struggle through some of the intense airplane customizations that I have thrown upon myself though.
Anyway, you can also follow along with this build in the Kitplanes Magazine builder series. Here is a link to my last writing and published article:

The goal is to have this plane in the air in 2024. I'm going to need some help from all my viewers and fans by sending me encouragement with comments and keeping me in-check with my build progress.
So... Let's do this!
Wow a single seat 701 with a healthy engine! Cool Concept! I am in the beginning of my 750 STOL so i better stick to the instructions for my first build! LOL I enjoy your channel very much.
Thanks for the new adventure build and content here!
Great to see another update. It would awesome to get more details on the manual flap option and would be great if Zenith offered this as an option on the 750 STOL and Cruzer.
Good to see you and your builds.
Glad to see a new video.
You still working for Zenith?
Looking forward to this build and life on the farm videos. I think your electric competition plane is a great idea.
Looks amazing!
Love the work you do. Would it be possible to come by and visit sometime? I'm local. Live close to Shelbyville in middle TN but have family in Cleveland. Don't want to hinder u in any way but I'm planning my Zenith build and I want to come pick your brain a little. I'm a farmer just like you. I even volunteer to help work if I could come by sometime this winter before we get super busy in the spring. You inspired me to get after it and build a plane. I hope Zenith realizes how many kits they have sold because of you. Awsome work man! "Back to Work"! As Patey says.
It's going to be a beast!! Keep up the good work Jon!
Jon, Happy New Year, Great to hear you posting again. You certainly have made progress since I last saw you. Keep up the great work. Best Regards, Wayne Whitley
Projects look great man! The skinny plane is begging for a 3cyl 998 turbo! 🤷🏻♂️
I have missed your videos. Are you planning to fly the 750SDX out of your farm strip? And do you still have the 701?
I wish I lived closer, I’d swing jn and help you bang it together to see what kinda gains 💪💪💪💪💪💪you get with it.
What’s the zenith imagineers thing aboot the single seater??
I was even pondering electric just like you. If it’s just I light yard toy, who cares if it’s only got 20-40
Min run time!?
Any other thoughts on the singe seater!? I came up
With that same thought they other day.
Very nice ideas you have. Question on 701 with UL130 hp engine. How much did change your useful load vs 100 hp motor that is recommended. In our 172 went from 150 hp to 180hp increased useful load around 200 ish lbs.
What is the material on the baggage back? Looks nice.
If you are going Xtreme I’m assuming for STOL like your 701, then why not also a tail dragger conversion?
Jon, what is your engine mount made out of and what type of welding did you do to make it? I want to put a UL520T on a Zenith 750SD. I might have to make a mount like yours to shorten the distance between the back of the engine and the fire wall. Do you know if this is correct? Thank you, Thomas
