  • I find a quick way to fix 2 row seating on the Dodge Caravan or Chrysler town and country without spending a lot of time and money. I want to share with everyone. This is Just a quick fix but it will get the job done.

Excellent quick fix! The cables for formal repair are around $80-100 each from Chrysler (may need 2 or 3 depending on what is wrong), plus dealer labor charges. This tip gets the seat folded immediately......and the rope trick avoids risk of pinching your fingers trying to work the release manually. THANKS!

Great quick fix. I really don't want to replace the cables necessary for a permanent fix so just being able to unlock the seat was great. Thanks!

I used 2 lawn mower pull ropes with handles purchased on Amazon. I left the handles dangle on the back side of the seats. It pops the seat right out with very little pressure. I stuff the handles between the seat cushion and the back when in the stow position. You have to make sure you leave enough slack in the rope to be able to adjust the seat forward and back. Great job.

I don't know if its the shoelace holding the seat up or the fries under the seat holding the other side down, but you got yourself a new subscriber!😂

Isn't there a lubricant spray that will fix the part so it will open normally? I have this problem all of a sudden.

Nop. You have to replace the whole part. The part a lone cost over $50
