Don’t be fooled people. The guy is robot and puppet and has zero feelings and emotions for what you all stand for. I hate to put it like that but if he truly is compassionate then he would’ve thought it through when he said all those shitty things. Can’t take it back. It shows his true colors. He is one sided and only for TMT. Reality...... don’t let your guard down.

Mauna Kea needs you!! People of Israel, I, Nadav Yair, am calling to your attention the wrong that is being done to the Hawaiian people and their Aina, their land. The desecration that the State and Federal Government is still doing since they stole the islands from the Hawaiians! Though we are in the middle east does not mean it is not our business! Injustice in Hawaii is the same injustice other nations do to us! We as Jews, and me as a Hawaiian Jew call on all to make your voice heard from Israel to Hawaii...leave the land of the Hawaiians to the Hawaiians! Save and fight for Mauna Kea!!!

I am a secular Jew and as you know our people have always stood with those who have been displaced. Not all of us, of course. The Palestinian situation has left the Jewish community at odds with each other. Many of us (including me) were in the South standing with the Civil rights movement and some of us died there. We were at Standing Rock with Native Peoples and
we are in support of Hawaiians in the TMT struggle as well as Ka'ho'olawe back in the day. We signed the petition presented to the TMT funders in Palo alto. We donate to the
Community Bail Fund and to Kahea so that we can support as much as possible from the SF Bay Area. So know that there are Jewish people involved in support activities even when we can't be on the Mauna. I support the BDS movement in support of our Palestinian cousins.

Aloha, and Yahuah bless you. You may also wish to know, as a "Hawaiian Jew" that ALL, Native Hawaiians, Polynesians, and Native Americans, are actually from Northern Israel, and were originally Hebrews of the tribe of Nephtali. Check out YT channel cepher publishing group, and discover more truth there. As a 1/8 Hawaiian blood, from a kahuna family, originally from Maui, I stand with my brothers and sisters in YAH, that are PROTECTORS OF MAUNA KIA. My prayers are with them. Shalom.

Did you look deep into the Kupuna's eyes as you honi them ( an exchange of ha, breath) did you look deep into there eyes? They welcomed you as Ohana. The kumu's welcomed you with there hula halau as a high chief. you maybe felt like Daniel when he walked into the lions den, but you was greeted with true, pure LOVE & ALOHA. Did you feel that, I mean did your heart & soul feel that? I stand before you with my Father Uncle Joe Tassill by my side ( you know he would be there with his 1 leg in his wheelchair chained to that cattle rail with Kupuna Walter Ritie willing to be the 1st to be arrested) I Akihikaua Ali'i Sir Kalani Tassill KCK of the Royal Order of Kamehameha Kahekili Chapter Helu Eha Maui humbly ask you to move the TMT to the alternate site. As the Navigator sailed into trouble waters or strong opposition he changed his coarse into much calmer seas. As the navigator of Hawaii sometimes it is wise to change your coarse. The choice is truly yours to choose.... I ask you to think with your heart & choose....Aloha Kalani Tassill

Some information I think most people against TMT don’t actually know... it won’t be visible from the summit or lake Waiau or any burials. It will also be a mile away from the closest worship site and *does not sit on a site where any traditional culture is practiced.* Also they plan to decommission 5 of the 13 scopes at the summit and fully restore the land leaving only 9 amazingly useful telescopes. For everyone that thinks this scope will ruin there aquifer, it will be a closed loop system and any waste will be piped off the mountain and fully treated, leaving no pollution to water or mountain. Runs off of normal power grid with a normal A/C *Not a nuclear reactor.* A survey taken in 2018 had a 78% approval rate among locals. TMT is also going to use local workers and not outsource. With millions donated to local schools and the agreement to work with culture and pay a million in rent a year(other scopes have not had to pay any rent). After 50 year lease TMT will be removed from mountain along with all the other scopes. There is enough space for culture and science to live in harmony on Mauna Kea.

This is my own opinion on the organization.
We the Hawaiian People shouldn't have been going through this.
All decisions should have been heard from the Native Hawaiian People first the board should have thought about hearing our people to see if this is what we want an need.
Any thing to do with our waters Aina sky meaning pollution in our air..

I dont understand....Ancient hawaiians were one of...if not the best astronomers and navigators in the world. I would think ancient hawaiian ancestors would love the fact the advancements of technology to learn even more about our galaxy to better the future and survival of MANKIND. TMT benefits the WORLD, not only one state, one culture. I'm sure there can be a solution that can benifit both sides.
Just one thing that I'm wondering.....If the land was so sacred, why are there already 13 telescopes in 12 structures up on mauna kea already? What's one more gonna do? Besides I thought the state agreed to knock down a few existing structures to build the new TMT on those sites. That way no MORE land would be used. Just the land that is already being used.

808 G8GT cool thing is, Hawai'ians never needed a telescope to use the stars for navigation. They created maps to travel with thier naked eye. So, these other countries who are for tmt need to be on the tallest mountain in the world from it's seabase. WITH a HUGE thirty meter and 18 story high telescope at the top to view far into space and to see stars. That's kind of embarrassing how they need that when the natives didn't lol.
