"If l Ruled The World" classic hit featuring Lauryn Hill
One of my favorite hit hop duets!!! Pure fire!
My favourite track by NAS " The world is yours"
'If I Ruled the World' is another great Nas song. Featuring Lauren Hill.
Love that Nas used Beethoven’s “Fur Elise” as background tune--dope
That was the only piece I could play on the piano. Stopped the lessons. 😀😁🤣
Nas is an ICON!!! Ya'll should check out 'ONE MIC' by him! You'll love it💯
Another legend in the building‼️ Nas is a storyteller like no other. He is from Queensbridge, NYC. His first album, Illmatic is a certified classic. He is one of the best emcees in the game past and present. He is lyrically versatile and his music continues to stand the test of time.
All Facts!!!
Amen
Nas is unmatched in his lyricism. When I look back at what Nas was spitting at 17 years old it is really quite amazing. React to Nas’ “It Ain’t Hard to Tell”,
the official release and the demo version. You tell me if today’s young 17 year old rappers have that kind of depth and can write on a level like that. I am inclined to say a absolutely not,but what do you all think?
Never give up on your dreams, no matter who is saying you can’t do it. I tell my children this , ignore the naysayers, because sometimes people want you to succeed but just can’t see your vision. So I tell them to, never ever give up, even if it’s me saying no. There may be somethings I never thought of, or seen, and can’t see how it’s possible. If you do see it, stick to it.
🥂
PIN THIS
If you do more Nas check out “Made Ya Look”, “Hate Me Now” or anything from Illmatic. Peace.
Agreed...just listen to the whole album.
One Mic would be dope
@@Hamiltonfai My favorite rap song
Anything
From
Illmatic
.
Nas is without any doubt one of the REAL GOATS. 99% of today’s rappers can’t even stand in a part of his shadow. ‘Illmatic’ is one of the best hip hop albums ever. Period.
Nas “One Mic” is worth a listen 🎧
One of Nas best tracks
People probably said you couldn’t do this too… but look at y’all… killin it!!! 👍🏼👏🏼😊
@Dane FACT
Nasir appears !!! Deep, philosophical and lyrical genius. He went old school on this one and reverted back to the James Brown sample. You need to react to "If I Ruled the World" with Lauryn Hill. That joint is BANANAS !!!
NaS!! Living legend.. If my life was a movie, Nas would be the entire soundtrack to it..
KRS-ONE. “Step into A world” and “You Must Learn”.
Anything KRS1/BDP
The Message by Nas is top notch
love that one... It ain't hard to tell is one of my faves with mj. ✌
That’s a classic 🔥
Corrine Bailey Rae- "Closer" 💛 Beautiful song.
When this song first came out they would play it on the radio. No way the radio would play a song like this these days. It has a positive message so that doesn’t fly nowadays
It's more that there's no rappers in the mainstream making music like this anymore with a radio friendly hook. A lot of the wiser outspoken rappers today are either underground, or don't structure the songs right for radio.
If this track didn't have the children singing hook as frequently as it is, then this wouldn't get radio play either - Nas, Snoop, BIG, all had their biggest hits on radio because of the hook - they didn't want to play Nuthin But a G Thang on radio until Interscope starting paying stations to play the hook on repeat
I was just talking to my sister about this. She’s 17 and I’m 25. I can came out when I was 6 and I remember this song being played a lot. The teens/kids nowadays don’t have music like this at all in the mainstream music world.
I liked this song and video so much when it first came out. I had forgotten about this till I saw y'all did a reaction video and re watched the video. I still like it.
Super Facts
This song was so huge for good reason!!! Nas and Damian Marley, Road to Zion is a masterpiece in my humble opinion!
ABSOLUTELY!!!
@silverdoe Definitely a masterpiece!
Magnificent song. Heard "Patience" by them?
@@Lectuz Yes I have it's another good one. They are brilliant together.
@@silverdoeGirl ^_^
You guys come from a hard place, and you've been surrounding yourselves with thousands of happy subscribers, bringing on the positivity and encouragement! Kind of like he said, you're choosing to be with folks who "sing", not the ones who "do drugs". Keep enriching yourselves, and you'll end up in a good place, even if life takes you somewhere you didn't plan to go. Good reaction!
Heavy D- "We Got Our Own Thang", "Somebody For Me", "Nuthin But Love"
KRS-1/BDP- "You Must Learn", "My Philosophy"
D-Nice- "Call Me D-Nice
Salt-N-Pepa- "Get Up"
Queen Latifah- "Ladies First", "Latifah's Had It Up To Here", "Fly Girl", "UNITY"
MC Lyte- "Cha Cha Cha", "Paper Thin", "Georgy Porgy", "Rough Neck"
Please, Kindred the Family Soul "Far Away", this is a husband & wife duo. This song is beautiful. Fire 🔥. Go all the way back to the Brothers Johnson Strawberry Letter 23 🍓", smooth Funk.
Indeed!
I can’t believe I forgot to request Kindred, absolutely should be recommended they have a great catalog filled with excellent song writing, beautiful harmonies, and all about a family blessed with an abundance of love.
@@Msboochie2 I love that song "Far Away". The video shows the love between the 2 of them ❤
My favorite group. reminds me of me and my wife of 33 years! That new hit "break it down" is a banger!!
In my opinion, best rapper of all time. This track kinda your anthem Twins. You did it!
You need to list tomorrow queen latifah…. “The queen has had it up to here” 1991
That’s my favorite 🔥🔥🔥
Fred hit the nail on the head. People will always put their limitations on you. Always strive to rise
That’s why I always love “Nas” he raps about the truth, he’s always was my number 1# rapper back in the days.
People keep sweeping this man under the rug like he doesn't exist, but they better give this man his flowers while he's still alive. As a teenager who listened to rap growing up, not only did Nas tell the truth in his lyrics, but the way he was telling stories was completely out of this world.
@@jamesmoon3844 i agree They need to give him an award before he's no longer here. He's one of the great ones a legend in my book.😊
Fred you nailed it: when people try to hold you back, saying you can't do something, they're projecting their own inadequacies and insecurities onto you. Because they can't do it, they try to make you feel like you can't, either. Don't listen to those kinds of people. Keep your distance.
That song is so eloquent, facts 💯
A real anthem for our youth. And for those who can't get away from listening to rap music.
POSITIVE! POSITIVE! POSITIVE! What people need to listen to.
☆ Honestly. I'm one of those people who believe that I would not
think I would like a rap song in the year 2021. Appropriate when this song was recorded and appropriate for ALL times.
Love this one ☝️ He’s from Queens like me!
Y'all are straight the AWESOMEST! THIS IS WHY WE ALL HAVE ADOPTED YOU TWO AS OUR TWINS❤️🧡💛💚☺️
The whole Illmatic album is 🔥 🔥.
Talking about someone being lyrical...you guys need to react to Mos Def...another level in hip-hop
Mos def-Traveling man/mathematics/ms fatbooty
NAS dropped some history knowledge!
Nas - Rewind. It Will blow your mind. He raps the whole thing backwards!
Edit: Listen to the track without the video. You need to really listen to the words with no distraction.
That i would love to hear
I love that song bruh snapped lol
NAS is a goat as well. I’m started in the 70’s. Best music from early 70’s to early 2000’s. If you want get deeper into how us black party. Us house know what mean when I say “ the house that jack built” house mixes. Late 70’s to early 80’s it was big at black parties ( in Chicago parties was call sets) The party after the party was called the after set.
@@barryblanton2065 Chi-town House where house began! ❤ 🏠-head right here !
Nas is the GOAT... he is spitting in the tradition of KRS-One and reflects the golden age of hip hop
Rewind that and hear him sing that! SHES MY QUEEN
Aging myself but I remember when Nas' Hate Me Now first dropped on the radio - Hot 97 (NYC) DJ Clue played it over & over & over. It was a big deal.
Nas Got yourself a gun
Nas. New York State of Mind or Rewind
Nas illmatic album is probably one of the best albums of all time. barely out of his teens then and now his music is in the Harvard Library! Go peep that album for more knowledge.
I am going to request Dru Hill on every reaction you do until you react to them. LOL Beauty by Dru Hill, Incomplete by Sisqo, Five Steps by Dru Hill. The only way I will stop requesting them is for you to react! lol
Just like me with Mötley Crüe! Join the club! 🙄
Exactly 💯
Can you please react to A Tribe Called Quest - Electric Relaxation pretty please 🙏
Yasss
And that is why I call Nas the Malcolm x of hip hop. Thank you so much for doing my hero. My legend
You missed my favorite line, “She’s my queen!”
They probably have not seen Coming to America 😔
NAS is a Legend and a really nice man. Thank you for showing this. Our people need this now more than EVER.
Thank you for showing the youth a better way because they are truly lost right now.
Check out his entire God's Son album. Game changing.
Always SUPPORT dreams...❤
Nas is indeed from the projects up in Queensbridge, NY. (The Queensbridge Houses, Projects).
I really love you guys..Nas is one of the best.. keep it up y'all, bring so much to the world.
A perfect example if when you feed the youth just a little bit of knowledge, they become ravenous for more, like they're craving nutrients for the body. Its so funny to me, because this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Nas & his lyrically proficiency. I'm not sure if they could even grasp the street codes & metaphors, or the 5% terminology. This next generation is hungry for real content
One of Nas influences was a female rapper back in the days by the name of Roxanne by a group called U.T.F.O. U guys should react to Roxannne Roxanne by U.T.F.O. This group has a very unique style. U wont be dissappointed. TRUST!
U.T.F.O. made so many classics!
@@omarfigueroa1691 Yes they did . I loved "U Cold Wanna Be With Me".
'So many tears' by 2pac 🔥🔥🔥
This was so powerful!! Nas is my favorite rapper because of his messages and the fact that he uses music to empower the people. 💯 Thank you 🙏🏾
100% agree with you! ✌
This song was my son's 1st rap he ever loved!! Awesome tune! He was 7 ! Love it 💯💯
Nas/Lauryn Hill "If I ruled the world"...
Do more Nas pls:
One mic
made you look
one love
hate me now
if I ruled the world
So I’m sitting here listening to music and I’m thinking about you guys! I know you don’t judge any type of music so I thought I’d share this with you! I love watching you guys react to music and I always get tickled to death when you hear someone sing who has a lot of depth and soul and just reaches out grabs you from the very back row of an arena! I’m pretty certain that you have never heard of Wynonna Judd, or her mother Naomi for that matter! They started out as a Country music duo in the mid 1980’s and had monumental success through the beginning of the 1990’s till Naomi could no longer continue due to a long term illness. Her daughter continued with her career and still had monumental success even afterwards. It would be a pleasure to see you react to her song called “NO ONE ELSE ON EARTH” I really think you guys would love her! She has so much energy, depth, heart, and soul! She really can reach anyone from the back row of an arena! Trust me! You’ll love her!!
Make memories and die with dreams. My FAV quote. 👍🏽you 2 are way ahead of the curve. Aim high. Thanks for NAS exposure, music to me are stories to be shared. This resonates.
One the best Lyrical and one of favorites ever listen to if I ruled the world, made you look, one mic, and rewind. I love me some Nas!!!❤❤❤
Awwww that was a sweet song and the music was cute💙💙
I'm 25 and first heard this song in elementary school I've been a Nas and REAL Hip Hop fan ever since. Keep listening to Nas he will open your mind.
Those people are called haters!

Nas is on my top 10 of best of all time rap. He did a WHOLE orchestra led concert, rapping on PBS.
'Made you look' by Nas,Ludacris & Jadakiss 🔥🔥🔥
Good one! Listen to more of him, “One Love”, “The World is Yours”, “One Mic”, “Last Real N*gga Alive”, “Second Childhood”, “Rewind”, “Life’s A B*tch”, “Can’t Forget About You”. I could go on and on, he’s the truth
Any and everything from Nas & Mobb Deep - hell on earth, Shook ones especially. These are legends, all their music is dopeAF.
Checkout THE FIRM- AFFIRMATIVE ACTION. When Nas did an entire album with emcees on his level at the time. On a side note AZ who was part of "the firm" is absolutely THEE most underrated rapper of all time. Facts!!!
My favorite rapper of all time.
NAS is the REAL G.O.A.T.
Nas has an extensive catalogue. ONE MIC is an epic hit.
I wish you would not do “If I Ruled The World” next. It’s good, but just his glitzy MTV/radio hit that was pumped out to get him bigger to non hip hop fans. He had 12-15 better songs than that at least. But you gotta do what everyone requests/wants to hear and is smart for the channel. Keep digging into his catalog though, I saw a ton of other great requests
Middle aged woman when this came out. Dug, dig and will keep this CD well into my nineties. Check out his NetFlix documentary. Lyrical genius.
Nas is the king - much love
Nas got bangers like Warriors Song, Made you look, Ultra Black, Hip hop just died and many more
Nas. Living legend!!
Nas is a lyrical Queens, NYC legend. Definitely check more of his tracks. Just go thru all his albums. Too many great songs to list. 🙌🏽
PLEASE react to Naughty by Nature OPP, its their best song imo. You'll like it! Thx
“Uptown Anthem”
This song still all these years needs to be heard more now than ever. The expression pull ya self up is the backbone of America. No where se can you do this but yet those in power look to divide us. We are 1 race and need to fall up not down...
The truth and facts! Nas is the king of New York!!
I've never listened to Nas before, but I will now!
I love this song by Nas. Its got a positive message. They should play this more. Nas one the best lyricist ever.
One of my favorite songs!
Dudes an OG also known as Nas Escobar,Nasty Nas been in countless movies such as Belly,Black Nativity,Beef,Monster etc a very talented man indeed
Can you please do a reaction to Bone Thugs and Harmony's song ( Crossroads or East 1999) video versions please?!
Love Nas!!!
Love this one!
Nas is by far my favourite rapper of all time. He's the GOAT.
I love the message behind this song
This song is one of the most important records for Black youth, I heard this at my daughter's kindergarten ceremony. When you no longer exist what have you left for your ppl to grow from, this song is it from Nas. Peace young brothers
Understand that the company you keep is equal to what is known as group identity, you don't have to do wrong but it's group identity. That's with any and all races.
