This song registered in me. I was 6 years old then.❤️👍
Though not an original member Joe Long Took over space when Nick Massxi left and was part of a lot of the four seasons big hits. It’s a shame that he was never inducted into the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame. Sadly we lost him and Tommy Devito last year to Covid
Love those velvet suits and the satin shirts! Nothing beats the 70’s hair looked fabulous. No bald look if you had hair you grew it. Fantastic song nice seeing Joe long on bass.
Please bring back TOTP
Hello. How are you doing today I hope I’m not bothering you
Hello dear!!
I have seen your wonderful comment on my public channel, am so happy and impressed with your support on my career all this years Where are you from?
Wow!!!! What a performance by my all time number one ☝️ BAND!!!! I am a fan of The Beach Boys, Beatles, but nothing compares to Valli and his Seasons, as this musical entity is number one ☝️ in my book.
You are right...theh are the best..!!😉😉
💯 Agree‼️👍🏻
I from Liverpool .and to be honest. Beatles weren't all that but Frankie and the Val .and drifter's are amazing x
We vary - Sloop john b is another classic - Salty dog the animals 👍👍👍😁💛
Great performance! Frankie and the Seasons just SO strong vocally!!
Love the music of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons! They're the best. 🙂
First song I bought over 6oyrs ago x
Wow! What a video! Ahh and that voice .. I love falsetto, no one knows as wonderfully as Frankie, maybe only Barry Gibb can rival him. Great song, nice memories! Thank You!
@UncleMikeNJ It's just a matter of opinion at that point!
Brian Wilson ain't too bad at it.
From left to right..Bob Gaudio..Frankie Valli..Joe Long..Bob Grimm..
Yeah, Mr. Frankie Valli is still so great!
When did Frankie grow a mustache? This is one of the Four Season's BEST tunes!
Not the first time he had one. Frankie wore a mustache and goatee in the late 1960s.
@@kevingoins9858 Right! I forgot about that.
@@kevingoins9858 Frankie did sport a "porn 'stache" on the "Genuine Imitation Life Gazette" album. Otherwise, he either had the moustache and goatee like Bobby Gaudio or even a full beard ("Second Vault of Gold Hits"). After this, Frankie pretty much remained clean-shaven (the "Nicky Newark" look, despite having longer hair) until COVID hit, in which he had that scraggly "three-day" look.
When he stopped shaving
Frankie auditioned for a porn flick in the seventies.
That kind of talent is a rare commodity these days!!.
Love him a year ago even when he was lip syncing. It was OK we love him no matter what but it was pretty obvious but that’s OK. He’s older now and it was still a great concert and we sat in the third row so don’t pass me because I’m not bashing him it was wonderful.
This dude is highly recommended by my kiddos. Daddy taught them to love fv4s. The abuse as a child was truly aided by Mr Valli. My kids cried when glenn frey left and eddie van halen left. We have discussed Mr Valli at times and all agree we would rather kill ourselves with my wife's vegamatic than deal with no Valli. This dude gets it. Maybe we will just jam to who loves you instead.
“Premieres in 16 hours” but that’s too long!! I want to watch it now😭😂
Iconic 70s performance of a 60s classic
Frankie Valli was the inspiration for Barry Gibb to later sing in falsetto. Many versions of this song have been made, but perhaps the most successful was one by Manhattam Transfer from 1995. I don't know what it is about this song that, whoever sings it, everyone always likes. I too, and very very muuuch.
Frankie Valli is beast.
Wow..I bet Frankie could still hit those notes on this song. So amazing.
I’ve seen many videos of live performances of this particular song, and this is probably the best one. I watched another one from 1992 and he still sounded great! Now, it’s sad to he him attempting to sing. All the tracks are pre recorded from years ago and he just barely lip syncs now. It’s so had to see him with so much energy dwindle to where he is now. I know he’s 90, but, I believe he’s being forced to perform at this point. He basically just stands and stares into space and attempts to move his lips. Very hard to see. I hope he decides to retire soon and enjoy an easy life. He needs to put his health first before entertaining his fans!
Went with my son to see Frankie Valli and the 4. Seasons three years ago. Had gone to see Jersey Boys also. I was in late 70's so such a great experience then and great memory now.
🎶💫🎶
Great vocal range from Frankie on this song!!
Great performance. Thank you for sharing this. Nice to see Frankie with a moustache.
Really nice rendition of a great song from Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I do miss not having Tommy DeVito playing guitar with that cool opening riff that made Let's Hang On so special when it debuted in 1965.
They were just starting out here!!
Maybe I am looking at this through rose tinted glasses, but maybe I am not, I remember this and how it did used to be, not perfect, nothing is, but certainly in my opinion better
5-3-22 Today.Happy 88th Birthday Frankie! See you this summer where my eyes can adore you in person.Thank You for giving us you! I hope you know how much you mean to us.Love every song you sing so uniquely and beautifully.Love You forever!
Thank you George. Fantastic !!!
25th Feb 1971 my 2nd birthday 💜

JUST FABULOUS!!! WHAT MORE CAN BE SAID? JUST LISTEN!!!
Valli and his seasosn, a power group.
As someone born in 1950 I remember this so well, loved it then and still do now👏👏👏😂😂😘😘😘🇬🇧
The 70s...of course he has a mustache
So many memories from the 60s. Thank you, Frankie and the Four Seasons
Get it Goomba Joe Long 🙏🏼We hear you loud and clear in this one🙏🏼👏
One of the best performances I’ve ever seen! Too bad it took the UK til the early 70s to experience the Motown sound that the US enjoyed back in the mid to late 60s.
Great song, Frankie Valli still rocks it ...... check out the excellent Nancy Boyd and the Capellos version too.
Jersey Boys. :))
Never saw this one the moustache looks kind of strange....lol
Who is playing lead guitar 🎸? Tommy DeVito left, so who replaced him?
These guys are Am*******zing !
Outstanding performance of a great 1965 hit song!
i love frankie valli
I'd love to see more posts.
Excelente 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🎉🎉🎉🎉
From the days at Vee Jay records to now. Always a big fan!
So damn good❤
Absolute classic 🕺🕺🕺🕺
Also a fan of them and these classics were great times to hang on to what we got.

Fantastic vocals.

Such a 70's look
The Four Seasons fashion style always moved with the times.
@@georgemusic4all4seasons apparently lol!
It’s a great look and totally different than the canned baseball cap bald look of today!
Musical genuis
The CD that I purchased came with a dvd with some of their performances and this is one of them
That's very cool. Miss those days in 60s and 70s
Son mis preferidos y los mejores . Les amo♥️♥️♥️♥️😊
Phenomenal powerful voice and he can really nail it live.
Why does everybody call them “Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. I know he did some solo stuff but he was a Member of The Four Seasons. Nobody calls Genesis, Phil Collins or Peter Gabriel and Genesis just because they had solo hits whilst still members of Genesis.
Among other great things about to enjoy in this song - a powerful, up front/in-your-face bass line by Nick Massi - did he and McCartney have a low key busy bass competition going? Probably not, but it's a way of thinking about how great Nick's bassline was here. Too bad Nick left the group soon after this one made its big splash (not to say Joe Long wasn't fantastic on bass - he was!)
❤💯
cool!
Right here we go , my mum bought this on 7inch when I was maybe 5 or 6 , I used to sit and play this and yellow River by Christie over and over and over while doing some sort of autistic dance to it , I'm not autistic btw , these 2 songs just spoke to me in a way I can't describe ....I'm 44 now and I'm doing that same little dance right now 🤣🤣👍
❤️❤️🇧🇷
Great video as always. However, who is on guitar?
I recognize Frankie and Joe Long. Who are the other two guys???? No drummer?
Fantastic!
Oh Frankie, why the mustache, you look beautiful without it.
A short man with a big voice I love him and his band💃🕺🎼🎶🎵💕💕💞
Size isn't anything lol xx
Now WHY did you have him a short man????
WHAT does his height have to do with this spectacular performance????
HUMANS...BLECHHHHH
🎶❤️👏👏👏❤️🎶 Great!!!
Te amo Frankie

History will show Frankie and the boys are the best ever.
I like how the guitarist's amp isn't facing out. It's turned away from the "audience" 🤣
And no drummer
This was their groovy look.
Wheres 4th season

Does anyone else besides me think Bob Gaudio isn’t really playing? It looks to me like he’s just tapping the same keys…
I think he plays a chord on every beat and doubles the bass part with the left hand. Kind of an unusual approach but I suppose when you have to sing with your head turned sideways and play, you need to simplify things, although it sounds pretty good!
@@jaydlytning Guess that could be. If only we could ask Bob what he was doing!
He’s playing for sure. He wrote the songs and likely played those stab chords and the bass on the keys. You can see him playing the baseline at the start The bass copied what he played
This is prerecorded they aren’t playing live
The vocals are probably live
God Bless ya Frankie, .....🎶🎵
Cool! A rare live performance of an early line up! 3 out of 4 of a classic line up anyway. Anybody know who the guitar player is?
The guitar player is Bob Grim, who Bob Gaudio had a falling out with shortly after this tour in the UK. Bob Grim ended up leaving the Four Seasons Band and I believe Demeti Callas took his place and filled in for about three years and passed away a few years back. Callas was an excellent guitar player.
@@georgemusic4all4seasons Thanks for that information. This is one of the lesser known periods of 4 seasons history to me, kind of an in between hits era.
@@georgemusic4all4seasons after Bob Grimm (who replaced Tommy DeVito) left the band, Demetri Callas took over, and after his departure, Don Ciccone of The Critters took his place, switching to bass guitar after Joey Long parted ways, with John Paiva taking over lead guitar.
@@jaydlytning For sure. This was when the 4 seasons was kinda falling apart. It wasn’t until slightly later when Bob stopped being part of the music and Frankie launched his solo career that he was back in the limelight but now as “Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons”
From left to right thats original members Bob Gaudio and Frankie Valli (1960) plus long time member Joe Long (1965-1975) and at the end Demetri Callas who joined in 1970 . The 1965 recording featured Bob , Frankie , Tommy DeVito guitar and was the last hit with Nick Massi on bass . Bassist Joe joined in 1965 and is seen on all the clips promoting the record .
The guitarist Is Bob Grim.
Thanks . I learned something there .
