Your video is great. Been trying to polish up our group's runs for a bit but we've capped at 7 bosses. I can already see some time saving opportunities thanks to you.
Nice. We typically use similar strats, but using yours, we can make a couple minor tweaks, and get Aminon. We'd have to swap out one of our SCHs for the RDM, and we'll need to have GEO and SCH sub DRK.
Shard Acquisition: RUN, GEO, RDM - Head South for D shard using 4-Step SC. (Seraph Blade > Herculean Slash or True Strike > Seraph Blade > Herculean Slash or True Strike) COR: ports to B and kills 5 air elementals there. (Leaden Salute > Viper Bite > Leaden Salute > Wildfire) [can substitute Viper with Wasp Sting if not subbing certain jobs] SCH: ports to C and kills three Corses with at least one SC. (Fusion SC > Pyrohelix II + Fire V, etc.) BLM: I went north in this video, out of habit, because of other routes we've done; but south is actually better when fighting Degei first.
You just made my day man. I’m dusting off my BLM. Some of the groups I’ve been in more often than not prefer something other than BLM for end game content. Hyped!
anyone else noticing the movement speed seems a bit fast? cant have bolters or chocobo after getting hit and he was def moving faster than +18 after killing the acuex.
Are you trying to imply that I cheated? I did not have Bolter's Roll before engaging the acuex. Also, my game is not modified to give my character more speed. Your baseless accusation is laughable. You can even see the COR catch up to me, and enter Degei's battle-area before my character.
Great video, props to you guys. Is there any way you could fill us in on what the others are doing while you were doing the acuex, like how and when you guys split up to farm boss KIs?

It saves us a minute or two, which can mean the difference when trying not to run out of time. COR can use crooked cards on bolters after C boss, and the other metals are simply not needed. We've actually failed a few 9-boss attempts, where an extra 60 seconds would've meant victory; time is that tight.

We do D and H first, so that cutting cards allows the SCH to "TR" for both Aita and Aminon. Mischief has a full write-up somewhere on FFXIAH forums.
I would argue that our setup is not too far from "traditional", as we have a frontline 'tank', damage dealers, and support. Our composition is focused on magic damage, but that has always been an option in this game. In fact, some of the more successful parties from 15 years ago, utilized skillchains and magic bursts. It is an integral part of Final Fantasy XI's elemental combat system.
why is that hard to believe? Weird comment honestly lol. You have a video from 3 years ago in Escha, the game hasn't changed that much. Traditional RPG parties are still used... just look at the video.

It was a legitimate question, not an accusation. I wasn't sure if maybe the video speed was increased. @@EsoteriVerse
Fair enough, but you did include the words "def moving faster"; which is why I was alarmed. In any case, I'm glad we cleared that up.@@timepassesbye
@EsoteriVerse this makes you sound like a discord mod you weeb.😅😅

Sure, that's no problem. I edited the description and posted a comment with the details.

How is the graphics and quality so high?
Windower has options for supersampling. Heck, even beyond what's here, there's also support for HD textures and HQ maps
I'm curious to know why you don't go after the other metals on the upper level besides A?

What fps are you playing on to have your animations like that?
What does the split of people look like when you guys farm the shards at the beginning?

this game has changed big time, you no longer need a traditional RPG party to beat content. hard to believe the game is still being supported by SE.

true but if your not well geared then you will need a party or some help
