I kept laughing for days on that uniquee&luxury vid, keprt remembering when some guy said I know the owner you said tell him to discontinue all of these immediately😂the brand’s name, the blurbs and the perfumes names just gives it all away..great review brother .
On balance, Roja makes good fragrances notwithstanding price and who the real perfumers may be. Good review, I enjoy Oceania as well. Also, not that compliments matter but this is very pleasing to one’s surroundings as well.
@@RamseytheRam keep it up brother. It takes a lot to nerd out (in a good way) on fragrances the way you do them. It comes natural to you. Also another note on Oceania, I enjoy it precisely because it lacks a marine vibe (ala Tom ford Oud minerale for example).
I will do a review of it soon my friend... i can tell you now its nothing special... its just a "nice" blue fragrance... if you own Blu de Chanel / Sauvage or Aventus you dont need it IMO 🤷♂️
Bingo! Petrichor! That has been my olfactory association and classification of Oceania from the beginning. Here is my review of Oceania on Fragrantica: "The best petrichor "after the rain" scent I've yet smelled. Not a true maritime/oceanic scent like EROLFA, which is the best of that oceanic genre (best "salty sea spray" scent) ever. Oceania is the freshly wet concrete of the marina after a rain shower moved through before you get in your sail boat and get underway. The rain stops, the sun comes back out and the rain water starts evaporating in whafts up to your nose, mixing with the scent of the nearby flowers and greenery." Very nice characterization.
Great review man, loved it as always. Got inspired by you to start reviewing myself! Thanks for that and keep 'em comming! I've sold Oceania due ot the poor performance I got from it. Love the scent though
Great review Brother ❤ Oceania is really feels classy and fresh but it’s not so aquatic as the name suggests There is something in Oceania, that is to share with Ambre Topkapi from MDCI Which is the classic character with freshness. But this one is more freshy and continue in light freshness while Topcapi becomes more deeper in dry down
I compleatly agree about xerjoff being descusting and sweet everything from xerjoff is literally aimed at kids or teens exept pikovaya dama, but even that I would say is aimed at a younger girl with no accountability. There are a few nice scents from xerjoff but they all smell out of place in real life situations... roja on the other hand, some of them could have a little more projection but apart from that they fit luxury everyday life perfectly and u guess a real luxury person dosnt want to smell overbearing. Roja is a 9/10 or 10-10. xerjoff sits down at mid range for me at a 4-6/10
Hard disagree on Le mitti. To me it smells like uncooked clay, nothing like petrichor to me. Still, Loved the review all the way to somewhere on the way to Flixtowe, England.
I don't mean to disturb, But what is the "aquatic herb" That you read from the blurb? I'm not perturbed, just needed a word...Good Sir. Seriously, thanks for the awesome review. I can't stand seaweed, calone, and traditional ocean notes. It turns my stomach.
Thats a great question... i honestly dont know 🤔 It smells more like oakmoss to my nose than seaweed... but there could be the tinest touch of calone but I wouldnt call this an acquatic by any stretch 🌊
Ram's new motto: "At least it's not sweet" 🐏 Just think - how many young humans are being born into the world today where sugar, synthetic florals and woody ambers are the basis of mainstream perfumery...conditioned to believe that this is not only the gold standard, but the best we can do. That same conditioning could also make them averse to the artistry of the past, especially once our generation humbly bows out. What a drag. In addition to visual art and music being taught in elementary schools, olfactive art should be a requirement. At the very least, as a survival tool.
You might be onto something there Doni with the "lets make olfactive art" taught in school idea.. In 20 or 30 years if the masses all turned to fragrance fanatics like us though vintage bottles of Antaues would be 1 million dollars 😂😂😂
@@RamseytheRam By that time, everything will be molecularly 3-D printed locally and you can recreate your own Antaeus for the simple cost of the molecules! One step away from direct-neuronally stimulated olfaction as part of the holo-realities we're already building. You can even set up your own "Ramspace" perfumery after scanning all your perfumes, that I'd be eager to visit as part of a global quantum net without wires, electricity, EMR or computers. 😁 Welcome to the future. And....engage.
I have some Roja (Diaghilev, PDL3) but this is not one of them. Oceania is a decent commercial-styled creation that fulfils its job as a lemon-centric musky citrus and does nothing else, with zero reasons for the dollar asking price. The extremely long notes list is not reflected in the finished product at all. This is a trope of Roja Parfums, to confuse the consumer with endlessly large pyramids in an attempt to argue its luxury. About 60% of the materials should be omitted in marketing, I doubt they’re there, and even a perfumer can’t smell them. Oceania is ok and lasts for 5-6 hours. But there are plenty of better value choices out there. I’d advise smelling it, comparing it to its competitors, and spending your money elsewhere. Lately, I'm wondering if Roja is even part of the creative process and instead is just the charismatic, extrovert, the public face of the brand while the actual work is done by someone else behind the scenes. I guess that's an argument for another day.
Which other fragrances of this style would you recommend? I love Creed Erolfa but I'm not sure if it's even the same type, but would love to have more fragrances that make me as happy as that one does.
For a second i thought you were going to it was Oshietnia. 😂i was like "there's no civet, castoreum, hyrax, oud ect. Yea it's shiet". Surprised you actually liked this one.
@@RamseytheRam i wear stuff like amber absolute in the summer 💀 and here it gets too 115 degrees. A long time ago i stopped associating citruses with summer. Yesterday i wore 7 sprays of le lion like a boss 😤
I cant argue with that Frank... but i do agree its quite nice & I would totally rock this in the heat if I had a bottle... but like you I wouldnt run out & buy a bottle... thanks for watching 🙏
Great review but for the first time :-) I profoundly disagree. Elysium and many other Roja creations (Danger, Fetish, Great Britain etc ) are high quality and original creations. Occeania does not smell niche or posh at all. To me, it smells generic and missing any kind of natural ingredients.
Well Danger PH smells like Heritage, Fetish PH smells like Bel Ami & Great Britain smells like Cuir Cannage ... so original? I don't know but good quality for sure
@@RamseytheRam you are right. Original is an overstatement. :-) But saying Fetish smells like Bel Ami also sounds an overstatement. :-) It was inspired by Bel Ami but in my view it smells nothing like it. These perfumes are surely comparable but to me smelling very differently.

One of the nicest freshies in my collection. Easy to hate the price hard to hate the fragrance. ✌🏻
Totally agree ... although for what we have seen lately 300 bucks is not that bad at all retail 🙂
