Thats the best explanation I've heard from any review of how the HDMI appears. I'm researching goggles now and It's a must that they work flawlessly with my computer simulator. Thank you for the review!
I have always dreamed of FPV flight as a kid. Now I have started to fly an FPV quadcopter and have a 7" LCD screen. It is already amazing to be able to see what the craft can see. But having such goggles would be the next level. I have Swift 2 camera, which is 4:3, so this goggle with some Laforge modules would be like the perfect combo for me.
By far the clearest HD3 review I've seen and, also, finally someone that explains these are 4:3 for FPV and 16:9 for HDMI. My local store got that wrong.
Just received mine today. Much better than the HD2 regarding fringe blurring, however I could still see a little fuzziness. I have only flown my tiny whoop so far so it could be down to the camera but it did look ok on my Tango screen. I have only tried the thin foam. May also try my modified HD2 faceplate as it could be down to a wonky heed! The picture has far better looking colours and sharpness than the previous model. I could see many more details in darker areas of the picture. Another plus is an OSD of the contrast & brightness levels as you adjusted them. A big bonus rather than counting the clicks to make sure they were neutral when setting up cameras for the first time. The real test will be using them with the Vector OSD on my Mini Talon as that is where I had the largest issue with the HD2's. Thanks for the review, went a big way in helping with the purchase decision.
Could be! I found that the thinner foam and IPD of as far in as possible works for me. The optics that pilots complained about in the HD2s look like they been used in the SEs with far less complaints, interestingly.. Best of luck with it!
Completely agree, being able to switch from 16:9 to 4:3 is a must I think these days. Is it that much more difficult or expensive to manufacture a dual screen goggles that can do that I wonder. I have a cheap single screen one that is able to do it. On the other hand these do cost 10x more than my goggles so...
The difference in FOV between the HD2s (50 degree) and the HD3s (42 degree) is huge. I know some people had problems with blurry edges but if they work for you (HDV2s) then you'll want them with the bigger FOV. I use the HDMI to play Freerider so that doesn't really matter to me if it's 16x9 or 4x3 which I'm sure many wouldn't care. It only counts when your actually flying. I'm still loving my HDV2s with no blurry edges and a HUGE FOV. Still think they'll be the best ever made and have the biggest screens ever put in goggles. Now Fatshark just needs to include a battery more up to the task of powering these goggles and it'll be a complete package...
the main reason HD2 has the blurry corner issue is due to this huge FoV in a dual-screen setup. The optics is hard for the "average's face". Maybe FS tried to fix the optics to reach a larger number of costumers. I had not swiched to FS HD's goggles just because neither HD1 or HD2 give me a clean image

I have a set of HD3 goggles and a walksnail vrx, and I only get a black screen. I have the analog receiver turned off, and removed, and the walksnail vrx works on my TV. Do you know what I could do to fix it?
Excellent review, I just the saw the wallet hole these would make looks like I will keep my GS920goggles a while longer, now I just wish Banggood would bring out some HD3 knock offs.
Thank you for the review, Lee/Leigh. I've been using FS Attitudes for a few years and lately we have been seeing more economic but just as effective solutions on the market. So do the current crop of FS goggles still represent value for money? I recently acquired a set of Flysight SPX02 goggles. These are supplied with twin 40ch RX'ers, are 16:9 aspect ratio 854x480 30degree screens, separate AVin and AVout (my Attitudes are either or, not both together ) plus HDMI in, and run on 2s to 6s supplies. They're apparently P4 and Inspire ready and don't crop the received picture. The lenses are also optically coated, I'm not aware if FS coat theirs. They do not have a built in DVR but they are currently £200 less than the FSHD3's which are supplied without receivers. I have upgraded my Attitudes with a Nexwave 32ch receiver but this did require some electrical surgery and cosmetic change to the outer case. Regards. Nidge.
Ordered these today ,cant wait to get them ,great review. what camera do you recommend to go with these HD3's i also have ImmersionRC 5.8Ghz Transmitter - FatShark compatible (600mw)
Excellent video and advice friend, a question I am waiting for my Fatshark dominator HD3, how do I do that when I am flying my racer and have them put the others can see the same on another screen ?? Or this can not be thanked and greetings from Colombia ...
+JEANPAUL THEKING you can use another screen to see the image coming from the average post in the goggles, I'd get a pair of the cheap Cyclops goggles if you want others to view the fpv image as you fly...
When you have the IPD adjusted all the way into the middle, do you get blurring on the edges? I get blurring at the edges that I can make disappear if I move the IPD towards the outer edges (easy to notice when I have the HS1190 menu text showing, for example). I can't figure out if the blurring is just what happens on my HD3s or if mine are affected by the blurriness that affected the first batch of the HD3s. Any thoughts?
Quick thanks to Painless360 for confirming that mine are part of the damaged batch. I've now got HD3s that aren't blurry and the difference is absolutely night & day. Pin sharp from corner to corner. Thanks again! :)
+Welt Asder it seems that some of the early goggles had a problem with focus. The problem has been fixed now so I would return your set if you have the problem. Best of luck!
Now, my item was faulty as HK technical team informed me so HK will refund 499 in store credit. They also promiced : "send back item and we will reimburse the shipping cost " But they actually won't ! And I also lost 1400 credts (14 dollar)... So thanks the nothing FS & HK !
Ok, I'm 5 years late. But as a pair of goggles to hold me over until I upgrade to DJI, would you recommend these today? I have a pair lined up with True-D module for $120usd.
is it still worth it in 2020? i would buy the skyzone sky02x just because of my budget but i could also buy the FatShark Dominator HD3 for 380$ with: original Battery Case 18650er Battery Case + 2 18650er 8GB micro sd card for DVR Mad Mushroom Bluebeam Ultra Antenne ImmersionRC 8DB Patch Antenne FatShark Hard Case FuriousFPV True-D Diversity so which one should i get? skyzone or fatshark?
Hi lee. Got my Dom 3s best thing I have bought!. Bought Furious True D diversity module,There is now an new download firmware to address a few Little problems in the setup menus I have the Ftd + leads , and a they have a video to show you how to download it """"BUT PLEASE PLEASE DO YOURE OWN FANTASTIC VIDEO TO SHOW US HOW TO DOWNLOAD IT"". This is because I think I have watched nearly every video ref quads. And have learnt so much , probably more than when I was at school!! Graham Fairbrass thanks hope you can find time to do this because I don't want to "brick it "" (( also looking forward the F4 flight controllers ( done ,cc3d ,naze 32 Rev 5 , 6 , on SP3 now) Thanks once again
HD2 FOV was 50 degrees, and they reduced it to 42 degrees for the HD3. That was a huge change I can't quite forgive. I'll stick with my HD2's, as I don't see the need to upgrade. I never use HDMI or 3D anyway
Wow, I was really expecting Fatshark to take a bigger step than this. Shrinking the FOV and updating the recording system isn't all that big of an update. They should be focusing on making FatShark a useful tool for DJI owners. Plugging a FatShark into your Phantom / Mavic system to fly FPV would be the best update this company can do to really increase their grown and sales. Why are we still using 800x600 displays? At the very least move up to 720p and give us Mavic compatibility.
Not sure why you're laughing, but FatShark released a beautiful 720p goggle soon after the HD3, the Transformer goggles. I bought a pair and they work great. The FOV is large, they are inexpensive and they work perfectly with the Phantom 4 Pro. Only downside is they are much bulkier than traditional fatshark goggles.
Todd Sheridan I was laughing at the phantom mavic comment. Didn't DJI just release a big goofy goggle for y'all? And those transformers aren't goggles, that's an led display that you suspend ridiculously to your head. Are you aware of latency in video transmission?
Well our options for a high quality 720p display are fairly limited right now, so bulky/ridiculous is our best option, and the transformers are a LOT smaller than the DJI goggles, and less than half the price. Latency is an issue for racing folks, not for most aerial cinematographers. I've got almost 100 flights on my P4 with the Transformers and they are really wonderful screens compared to the alternatives, especially for the price. Now if we could get rid of all the dangly cables... ugh I hate cables.
My set just arrived, I don't wear gasses. And the edges are blurry, worse after about a minute the goggles start giving me a headache. Have ben using DomV2 for a year now without any needed diopters
I am just reading up on HD3, got to use HD2 and had an issue with a lot of blur. What I noticed is: it is much better if pressed close to the face. Maybe try the thinnest foam? I hate smaller FOV, also with a risk of having an issue with blur. Saying that I do consider FS for ease of use and few more aspects. Year ago I used to have Dom V2s with no face plate and all was good. I am thinking of getting HD2 and modding faceplate to allow for a closer contact.
sqwert interesting to know. Thanks for the info, will play it safe and try both locally before buying. Sounds like the fit/optics is miss for some people.
I don't wear glasses, My Dom V2 actually have the thick foam over the top of the thin foam (which was wearing out). As Fatshark said some units wear incorrectly put together it seems, the focus is actually off on one eye on my set. Twas like wearing glasses with the wrong prescription.
For us it's pin sharp all the way round. I've heard that some pilots are still seeing blurry edges even with the reduced FOV. Interestingly the optics from the HD2 that gave the whopping 50 degree FOV but many complained about in the HD2s were used in the Dominator SE limited edition goggles and pilots seem to have less problems in them despite the setup being the same.. go figure.. I guess it's how some pilots eyes work!
+Panda FPV it's a little 3D printed plastic piece that allows you to tighten up the connector on the antenna. There are lots of them around and I've even design my own, you can see it on my thingiverse page. Happy flying!
I'm at the stage where I'm thinking I'd like a headset. I have a few quad frames I'm going to build up, plus I think I'd like to run some on my plane and chopper. I exclusively fly for fun, I don't race, I'm not planning to race, but having a POV setup would make it a lot more enjoyable and easy to fly. Unfortunately cash is my limiting factor, so I'll be scouring eBay if I do decide to go ahead with a set, and I guess the way I look at it is I could buy these, or I could buy another plane or chopper, or build another quad.
If you're starting out then see the recent video we did on 'Cheap FPV kit'. Goggles like the Cyclops we looked at are excellent goggles with basic functions that provide all you need to get started..
Painless360 cheers, I will do. My question will probably be answered in the video, but can they be used for multiple vehicles, linked to multiple transponders? Obviously not at once, but I would like fpv on a few quads
We designed them and 3D printed them you can get them from our Thingiverse pages. It does look like a small number of HD3s so have focus issues. I'd return them and swap them out.. Best of luck!
The Dom SE are nice spec'd goggles. Perfect for many happy years of flying. The inclusion of the antenna and receiver make them a nice bundle. I'd look at a higher capacity battery as the 1000mAh pack isn't going to run an entire days flying with medium/heavy use. Happy flying!
Painless360 i like te fov in the se, but is it a clearer image on the hd3?i dont care about the hdmi, but i want a better image. I have the laforge v2 reciver in mine.the stock reciver i godt with the se was bad signal sometimes.
I've not managed to get my hands on the SE here, but the FPV is 50 degrees like the HD2s. I suspect that part of the SE was to use those HD2 lenses that were no longer needed. If they are the same then some pilots didn't like the slightly fuzzy edges they got with the 50 degree FOV..
Why is the field of view is measured across the diagonal ? Surely it should be across the horizontal axis. Why does losing the top and bottom of the image affect the FOV ? I can understand why screen dimensions are quoted as across the diagonal because manufacturers want to exaggerate the size of the screen but FOV has nothing to do with the diagonal of the image.
no offence but i am happy these came out and i got my HDV2 in such a lower price some weeks ago , i dont change them with anything, IMHO the upgrades are not worth for a v3 release.the macho FOV of V2 is outstanding. i am not saying that these are not good.. they are very good because some people have problems and fatshark have ears.
FPV Portugal these goggles are exactly the same as the hd v2 also why buy a new set of goggles and just not get a corrective lenses to get the 43 FOV not 50
I 2nd to FPV Portugal. You fix the blur edges by putting some tape on the HD2 LED screen to make it 43deg FOV. This is exactly what Fatshark is doing and call it HD3!!
I've received mine and they blur around the edges of the screen. I feel cheated given that the FatShark product description says "The FOV on the HD3 has been dialed back to 42 degrees to maintain a large screen experience while delivering crisp optical performance for OSD readability". They seem to have a very warped interpretation of 'crisp optical performance'. Based on what I've seen I have to wonder how objective this 'review' is...
Yes, I do need the IPD a the very edges though. I'd contact your supplier if they are not working for you. Many pilots find the older 50degree optics (used up in the SE version after the HD2 was cancelled) fine in the SE while many found they were not great round the edges in the HD3. Not all eyes are the same, you may be one of the pilots who even the smaller FOV isn't going to work. Sorry if you feel our reviews are dishonest - other reviewers are available..
So do you have to move the IPD when you want to see the edges clearly? I've already dropped the supplier a message, they haven't responded yet. I'm just trying to evaluate whether we have different definitions of what 'not blurred around the edges' means. To me it's either blurred or it's not, there isn't anything in between. I wonder whether some people simply have lower expectations/standards.
Be sure to try these goggles out before you buy them as I am suffering blurry Osd text and on outer edges no matter what I try. I have tried diopters and this made it worse (more blurry) I do not need glasses I fly with fatshark Dom v3,s and screen is perfect I think people will have the same problem with these goggles as others had with the HD2,s.
They missed a trick not fitting a second receiver for diversity. This would have been more of an upgrade to convince people to change over. As it is, I can't justify moving from Atti V3s to these :-(
Phil Thayer, tried it and it glitched too much - sync losses, but not video switching glitches. I'm waiting for FatShark to produce one that works well with their goggles
Goggles, more than anything else I look at on the channel, provoke the most polarized comments. Opinions are like belly buttons - everyone's got one. Especially when it comes to leading vendors products. People either love 'em or hate 'em. Typically very little in between.. Happy flying!
Well I'm coming into FPV and want a nice setup that isn't too expensive. I am aware that there are cheaper models but I do want quality and a good FPV setup since I'm loving flying camera quads but they're just too simple and plain for me.
I completely forgot the point of what I was saying: The point is that I have no standard and have never seen an FPV goggle before. I'll be fine with anything, but don't want to have to upgrade too soon after I started.
Personally if you're new and don't know if you will like FPV then something like the Quanum Cyclops are great goggles and provide a nice start without breaking the bank. We still use ours as 'ride-along/passenger' goggles with the Fatsharks...
Do you guys realize that you're paying 500$ for goggles that don't come with a receiver... Why does nobody ever talk about the flysight spexman goggles. Same price except comes with 2 receivers and has better resolution, they even thought of the fan before fatshark did. All you Fatshark fanboys are getting screwed.
Thats the best explanation I've heard from any review of how the HDMI appears. I'm researching goggles now and It's a must that they work flawlessly with my computer simulator. Thank you for the review!
BEST goggle review on UA-cam! The way that you compared the FOV - BRILLIANT!
+A Google user thank you :D
Many Thanks, ( out today very sunny ! Fly before winter sets!)!
I have always dreamed of FPV flight as a kid. Now I have started to fly an FPV quadcopter and have a 7" LCD screen. It is already amazing to be able to see what the craft can see. There have been problems with some of the early shipments with problematic optics. If you're buying one then try them before handing over the cash..
Painless360 Good tip - thanks. Hopefully even the problematic ones are being treated as faulty by Fat Shark?
They are. :D
Just received mine today. Much better than the HD2 regarding fringe blurring, however I could still see a little fuzziness. I have only flown my tiny whoop so far so it could be down to the camera but it did look ok on my Tango screen. I have only tried the thin foam.

Awesome review and I am looking to buy my first pair of goggles and for the price and the 4.3 aspect ratio these are clearly the winner.

thanks mate. I'm thinking of using Last forge

Just get 2 Panasonic 18650 cells (real ones). Good to go!
the main reason HD2 has the blurry corner issue is due to this huge FoV in a dual-screen setup. The optics is hard for the "average's face". Maybe FS tried to fix the optics to reach a larger number of costumers. I had not swiched to FS HD's goggles just because neither HD1 or HD2 give me a clean image
can you tell me whats the biggest size of sd card these can take if possible
First review of the HD3's on the tube! They sent them to the right guy! Got mine on order.
did you got your one ? is the edges ok ??
Yes, I also have hd2 and the edges are good for me. For some it is not.
Well I talking about HD3..
Yes I like hd3 better. Perfect fov. Use with runcam swift beautiful!
hmm.. and ou use it with lenses or without lens ?
Awesome painless 360
$500 and no receiver whatsoever?! Gee, thanks, Fat Shark.

Apparently the SE's come with a significantly smaller battery, what size is the stock battery that comes with the HD3, and the HD2?
It's a 1800mAh pack on the HD3s..
I wish Fatshark would sell the new lenses as an upgrade for the HD and HD2.
Excellent review, Thank you
They can make them so you can pick the aspect with a switch why not let us choose?
I have a set of HD3 goggles and a walksnail vrx, and I only get a black screen. I have the analog receiver turned off, and removed, and the walksnail vrx works on my TV. Do you know what I could do to fix it?

Excellent review, I just the saw the wallet hole these would make looks like I will keep my GS920goggles a while longer, now I just wish Banggood would bring out some HD3 knock offs.
Team crap sheep I clearly don't understand why we don't have more choices in FPV Goggles. There is something wrong in this sector of the FPV market...
Thank you for the review, Lee/Leigh.

640x480 even for PAL sources ? No cropping part in PAL DVR recordings ? Still 30fps for PAL ?
Ordered these today ,cant wait to get them ,great review.
what camera do you recommend to go with these HD3's
i also have ImmersionRC 5.8Ghz Transmitter - FatShark compatible (600mw)
You'll need a 4:3 camera so I'd probably reach for something like the RunCam Eagle here at the moment..
I was hoping for higher resolution screens.
Mind you I'am using Dom V2, so the extra FOV will be welcome.
got them on pre - order with 10% horizon discount!

Do those goggles also have some kind of rubber coating like the camo ones from hobby king?
No, they have a hard plastic surface. Happy flying!
OK. Thank you
Hi, where did you buy it.. my HD3 have blury edges--horrible.. many people complain about it you didn't noticed ?

Hi, I just returned to HK.
So Ill inform you what is the storry..
Thanks
Now, my item was faulty as HK technical team informed me so HK will refund 499 in store credit.
They also promiced : "send back item and we will reimburse the shipping cost "
But they actually won't !
And I also lost 1400 credts (14 dollar)...
So thanks the nothing FS & HK !
Where can i get them?
Why do people say the image is small like a postage stamp but you showed the image fills the whole view?
Stuck the camera lens right into the eye piece ;) Happy flying!
Yea I know, looks nice and big to me the image, no huge black border.
Hey Painless, where do you get the rubber things you use for the antennas?
If you mean the little thumbscrew things, I designed them and you can 3D print them - www.thingiverse.com/thing:1728564 :D
Nice, these should be great in TPU
When do these goggles come out in the UK
They are released now but many vendors are still waiting for stock/sold out already. I've asked Fat Shark when we can expect more to be about..
desso man Firstpersonview.co.uk have them in stock.
Yep, the shipped in volume last week.. Happy flying!
Can these be used with the Mavic?
fantastic review, definitely the best yet
They should work with any decent FPV transmitter. Happy flying!
whats good fpv camera to pair with this? i know u talk about it in the video.., but i have trouble to find it on google.., so many brand..
+Stephen Chandra is look at the RunCam Eagle 4:3 version or a genuine HS1177. See our videos on both.. best of luck!
Ok, I'm 5 years late. But as a pair of goggles to hold me over until I upgrade to DJI, would you recommend these today? I have a pair lined up with True-D module for $120usd.

@@Painless360 Cheers, much appreciated.
is it still worth it in 2020? i would buy the skyzone sky02x just because of my budget but i could also buy the FatShark Dominator HD3 for 380$ with:

18650er Battery Case + 2 18650er
8GB micro sd card for DVR
Mad Mushroom Bluebeam Ultra Antenne
ImmersionRC 8DB Patch Antenne
FatShark Hard Case
FuriousFPV True-D Diversity
so which one should i get? skyzone or fatshark?

how much of a difference is the Dominator SE from the HD3? Is it noticeable?
We've not tried the SE here but the field of view on the HD3 is a lot less than those.. Happy flying!

I was getting blur image on the side even before putting the foam on.
I use the thick foam on the V2's without problem
sqwert interesting to know.
Twas like wearing glasses with the wrong prescription.
my one is the same.. blury.. There is no any Word in this review about still blury edges.. :(
With a regular 700TVL camera, can you really see a difference image quality vs something like the FS Attitudes?
Yes you can, the quality of the optics, viewing angle, pixel density and way the panels work to display the image etc. all make a difference..
Thank you; I can now confirm that!
Hello,
Is there any blurry edge please? or its 100% crystal clear like on the dom v3?
For us it's pin sharp all the way round. I've heard that some pilots are still seeing blurry edges even with the reduced FOV. Interestingly the optics from the HD2 that gave the whopping 50 degree FOV but many complained about in the HD2s were used in the Dominator SE limited edition goggles and pilots seem to have less problems in them despite the setup being the same.. go figure.. I guess it's how some pilots eyes work!
lol ok thank you for the answear. The problem is we can't even try them before buy :D and giving the hight price that's a real pain
Do you prefer the dom v3 or the HD 3 for fpv racer?
HD3 for racing, Dom V3 for soaring. Shame the HD3 can't do both..
for that price, it's big shame ^^
thank you
what is that rubber thing around your antenna connector? where can i get one?
+Panda FPV it's a little 3D printed plastic piece that allows you to tighten up the connector on the antenna. There are lots of them around and I've even design my own, you can see it on my thingiverse page. Happy flying!
I'm a little bit scared to ask for the price. Awesome review btw!
A lot! ;)
what is the deference between the HDv2 and the HDv3
HDMI now shows in 16:9, lower FPV compared with HD2s, changed optics and slightly better build quality.. ;)
ok, thank you
I'm at the stage where I'm thinking I'd like a headset.
Yep, and others models too ;) So long as you are on the same channel and band as the FPV Vtx on the model you'll see the image :D
Painless360 cool, thanks. I thought as much but wasn't totally sure how they worked.
Have you encountered any alignment issues with the optics? I am having issues with mine and seeing lines outside the right and left screen.
+SteveO4478 not here, let the vendor know. Best of luck!
Painless360 yup! I have and waiting on their reply.
Oh yeah we're did you get those antenna grippers that are on the sma connectors I need some of those!
We designed them and 3D printed them you can get them from our Thingiverse pages. It does look like a small number of HD3s so have focus issues. I'd return them and swap them out.. Best of luck!
painless360 have you tried the dominator se?
i have thoose now. but should i uppgrade???
Painless360 thats true, i got some blurri edges.!🙄 them im going to buy the hd3 👍
Stu at uavfutures suggests something , in his hd2 review ,that might fix your blurry edges problem
do you think its worth to invest in those when having an HDMI input in 16/9?
+J4N I don't understand the question..
If I use an HDMI source with 16/9 input, I don't use all the 4/3 space, so do you think this worth the difference with the dominator v3?
Depends on the source type and use.. if you’re only using 4:3.video then it’s better to get 4:3 goggles.. happy flying!
Painless360 but as I said, my source is 16/9(phantom)
How much?
Just bought a used set for $150 , no charger though :(
Where did you get the SMA finger wrench?
We designed and printed it. You can download it for free from our pages on Thingiverse.. :D
If a 4:3 image and a 16:9 image are the same width, the 4:3 image is bigger. If measuring FOV on the horizontal axis this would not be obvious.
no offence but i am happy these came out and i got my HDV2 in such a lower price some weeks ago , i dont change them with anything, IMHO the upgrades are not worth for a v3 release.the macho FOV of V2 is outstanding.
i am not saying that these are not good.. they are very good because some people have problems and fatshark have ears.
Can you use it with other quads
Yes you can. These are some of the most common goggles you'll see at races and professional events being used with loads of models..
How is the HDMI feed from say, an Inspire1?
+CyberJay1226 no idea. We don't use dji kit here..
This HD3 are not more than the correction of the HD2, no 16:9 for analog, no DVR for HDMI input, very bad for a 500$ google set.
Completely agree. Really lazy release.
Luke Godeassi finnaly someone that agree with me... people need to open their eyes...
This is exactly what Fatshark is doing and call it HD3!!
lol well put :)
Ours is fine here - I'd get onto the supplier in case yours are faulty..
So you can for example go in to the DVR menu and the entire screen is crisp and clear, no blur at all in the corners?
IPD almost at centre for my eyes and pin sharp all around. Best of luck with it.
Fatshark dominator "HD" version 3: STILL not HD.
Yep, as we covered in the video. Confusing as some of the larger 'bender' style goggles like the Genesis are 720p..
great I just wasted £500 on hd2 ,cheers fatshark
Be sure to try these goggles out before you buy them as I am suffering blurry Osd text and on outer edges
no matter what I try.
I have tried diopters and this made it worse (more blurry)
I do not need glasses
I fly with fatshark Dom v3,s and screen is perfect
I think people will have the same problem with these goggles as others had with the HD2,s.
these are 150$ overpriced
They missed a trick not fitting a second receiver for diversity. This would have been more of an upgrade to convince people to change over. As it is, I can't justify moving from Atti V3s to these :-(
Not really....doesn't come with any RX. Just get the Laforge diversity, works great!
Phil Thayer, tried it and it glitched too much - sync losses, but not video switching glitches. I'm waiting for FatShark to produce one that works well with their goggles
bazathome2002 good to know, I've been thinking of getting it.
Laforge works fine. Where are you guys getting all this bad info?
I got the Realacc lite. With osd, love it but wish it had audio.
So frustrating reading these comments. Hopefully 6 months later they get it
Goggles, more than anything else I look at on the channel, provoke the most polarized comments. Opinions are like belly buttons - everyone's got one. Especially when it comes to leading vendors products. People either love 'em or hate 'em. Typically very little in between.. Happy flying!
Would you rather have a wider FOV and less resolution (Dominator SE) or higher resolution and narrower FOV (HD3) for quad flying?
ryanhayn i would go for the fatshark se with bigger FOV, i juat got them today, no fuszy edges that HD2 have, cheaper and bigger FOV then HD3
But, how much do the HD3's cost? I'd love to have them but I love the price of the SE and their colors and the fact that it comes with everything.
Easy choice, will not spend $500 FOR Goggles or a cell phone.
+Bryan FPV great question. Why is no-one talking about them?
