I remember my Mom whenever I watch Erwan cooking, I see my Mom's cooking techniques to him. My mom was a Cook at Dasma Village in Makati in a rich family. I miss my Mom, 🙏🕊️ wishing she was here and make cooking bondings with her and I will let her watch Erwan cooking episodes for sure she will love it especially the spices Erwan using. Im so thankful I have inherited her cooking skills, she taught me strategies when I was a kid. 💖
Hi Erwan! You may not be able to read this but I just want you to know that I absolutely loved how my steak was cooked. Followed your instructions by heart. First time making steak and it tasted like straight out from a restaurant. Btw, the steak was bought from Chingolo. Was afraid to cook steaks at home before, might ruin the steak if not cooked properly. Now, we can have steaks at home. Thanks so much ❤️
Oh my I love ribeye steaks! I always sear it in a hot skillet with garlic, butter oil, and a sprig of Fresh Rosemary.. Thanks for sharing this..Love your channel! 🤗 You’re one of my inspirations in my cooking channel...
I have a lot of question about cooking beef... but after watching this video... all of my confusions are gone.. Thank you for this video and salamat sa masarap na steak. perfect.
You're not fond of grilling them? man!!!!!!!!!!!!! you're missin' so much... They're the best when they're being grilled. Well, to me they just tastes way better than pan frying it or on a cast iron. Sa bagay, iba-iba naman tayo. You have your favs. But I enjoyed ur video. Makes me want to go costco tomorrow and buy some for dinner. Drooling sa sarap!!!
Omg these all look amazing! Why choose when you can have all 5 :D! Also, to whomever is reading this, sending lots of love to all you foodies! Take care and be safe! Just started my own food/travel channel. Any feedback would be highly appreciated!
Omg! Never thought sous vide is possible without an immersion circulator. I’m so excited to try it esp you said “it’s not fun.” Lol! Thanks for sharing your amazing cooking tips. ❤️
love this!! I use a ~1.5 in thick filet mignon and let it sit out with a little soy sauce... pat it dry and add salt and pepper then pan sear like you describe for 3-3.5 mins per side. rest it for as long as it was in the pan and usually serve it with some sort of potato and green and red wine :) dog loves steak night too
Just got myself a sous vide machine from Aldi last Wednesday. I kinda messed up my 2nd run of steak as i set the temp 10°C higher. Praying that you guys are well there in Melbourne.
if you need fixed temperature&timer use saladmaster, sakin ka nalang bumili 😊 merci beaucoup!!! lovelots from Rome, God bless you & your family more and more🙏🏽🍀
Hey Erwan! Been watching your videos for a couple of weeks now. Would like to suggest on making a video on how to make 'Steak Au Poivre', or the French Pepper Steak if I may :)) Would appreciate it if you grant my request. Thanks
1) Heston Blumenthal recommends flipping every 15 secs. Surface will gradually get the char without overcooking the center. 2) sous vide means without air. Remove as much air from the bag. Using a cooler and adding hot water will make control easier. Anova or Joule is worth it. Fast sear 2 mins per side on hot pan 3) tip number one, above all, get good meat
I'm a big fan of steak. Sous vide works really well but I recommend using real sous vide not a diy one. Then grill it after. Delicous! 😋👍 like your vids.
I've always watched you cooked for craving..i love all your videos..i want to do all your recipe but im lazy.😁 so i do the easy way..grilled my beef with butter..with toyo, kalamansi, paminta and sili(sawsawan)..and red wine will do it..
Pan seared rib eye steak has always been my favorite. Very easy and the quickest heavy meal to cook yet delicious. Medium well would by my suggestion for pinoys as rare to medium is "hilaw"
For diy sous vide it’s much easier to do it in a closed cooler. Just bring water to a boil/simmer and let cook to your desired temp. Check temps every half hour or so.
I love u!! Ay! Mali! I love steak!♥️♥️😅🤗👌 I always watched and download it vids. And watch again and again ♥️♥️ your travels, cook-offs with Mrs. Bolzico... Lahat.. Ng video mo.. 😅👍 and I learned at the same time👌👍. Thank u🤗🤗 love u miss Anne.. love u dhalia Amelie..♥️♥️♥️
22:54 and i wanna go out and look for a steak meat in the supermarket 🥺🥺. You're videos are my evening routine before i sleep then eat lots of food for breakfast
degree of steak doneness Pinoy version
Rare: Hilaw
Medium Rare: Hilaw
Medium: Hilaw
Medium well: Hilaw
Well done: Luto
Vast majority of beef in the philippines isn’t aged or hung. Cooking it “well-done” really is the point were you draw out most water from the beef.
Lol 😂 so true
I love how Erwan explains the process of cooking. And the shots, lalong nakakagutom 🤤
