- Hey guys! Hope you all have been well. I wanted to share with you my first ever, luxury/designer bag purchase from Louis Vuitton: The Alma BB. Disclaimer: This is not to brag or show off, but hopefully be a helpful video for someone looking to invest in the same bag or considering making their first designer purchase like me.

kay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the HIDUPZ book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
My first luxury purchase was also at LV and also an ALMA BB Bag DAMIER EBENE...just like yours !!! Last week! :-) @45 years old... dreams always come true :-) Just a correction on your video: The Alma Bag was first made in 1925 (not 1910) for Chanel and until 1934 she didn’t give permission LV to produce it to other people. That’s why people could buy the Alma only from 1934 on ! ;-) also this bag initially was called Squire, then Champs Élysées and only then Alma, because of the Alma Bridge next to Louis Vuitton shop in Paris! It was the second handbag that LV produced, being the first one ever the Speedy!

I bought my first lv bag for my 40 years old birthday and the entire experience was just miserable! been sent a defect item, I went to the store and been refused refund or exchange, after I insist that's their policy, they finally agreed an exchange, but both the bag they showed to me was kind of bad quality( one with big rusted scratch on the hardware and another with horrible stitch on the leather piece) , I have no choice to take the one with horrible stitch and decided, regardless what my age will be, I will never buy another LV for my birthday anymore, because it ruined my only one "40" years old birthday!

Congratulations on your first purchase darls!! I also grew up like you where my parents (especially mum) raised me to be humble and wise with money. Don't worry, I got my first lux bag for myself and with my own money at 28. Some people get into debt for lux and it's not worth it. Anyway, I'm also planning to get this exact bag next and I've done heaps of research/ youtube searches lol so thanks for the wonderful/ humble review 😊🥰❤xoxo

Can you share if the zipper will scratch your hands as you reach in and out of the bag?
@@ayc1997 it can it can be awkward and a bit cumbersome accessing you items.use a catch all and card case to make it easier. Or you could be holding up the line messing this bag. I usually switch to my nylon Prada bucket bag when running errands and I have to get in and out of my back often
Great video. Just a side note- the Alma was introduced in 1934. I just purchased this bag and am waiting on it to arrive. Very excited. It’s not my first piece, but I wish I would have purchased this sooner. Such a great piece and will continue to go up in value. ❤

I honestly recommend to get it when you’re 100% ready and sure. It is a lot of $$$ and it’s best to be in love with the bag. Also helps if you know it’ll match a lot of the outfits in your wardrobe so you can get the most wear out of it. I personally love it👌🏻🥰

I’m about a size 2-6 honestly depending on the brand and style of clothes and run from size S or M. Bag honestly goes with everything so you won’t regret it! 😉

did you ask for the stamp in store? Because i really want to get my initials on it when i buy it for my birthday !
Yes! They hot stamp it at the store upon purchase. If ever you don’t do it then, I believe you can come back at a later time and it’s free 😊
Does your bag have the date code or it is with the new chip?
I believe mine is still with the date code. Didn’t know they did chips now! 😱
i grew up poor n had no real desires when i got my salary. but something switched at age 30 so i got me some LV . we shouldnlt feel guilty if we work hard for our money and are financially able tos upport it

I am 5’2” and it sits perfectly at my hip. It might just sit a little lower on you, but I highly recommend to try it in person at the store to make sure. Again, these bags are so expensive so make sure you get something you’re 100% in love with 😊 and if ever, LV does sell the strap by itself and they have an adjustable version if you’re willing to spend the extra cash 😅
