Kicking Railcars: ✅
👍👍
Thanks Tom, happy you enjoyed it, have a good weekend
Pappy I was in Scott city yesterday I got a brand new Union Pacific railroad spike I found it laying on the side of the track
Thats awesome, the new ones are cool..
It's crazy how they slam railcars together like that. You'd think they'd be careful especially with chemical tankers.
Seems like it's so hard on the couplers, like that would contribute to them breaking more often, appreciate you watching. Oh and I like your channel logo 👍😀
I love seeing all the cars rolling to makeup their new set up of frieght trains, more please more, 👌😁👍
Cool glad you enjoyed it, I'll see if I can catch some more, appreciate you watching.
That's always cool to watch ❤😎👍
Sure is Dave, it's really relaxing. Thank you for watching..
I am making an assumption here: Those tank cars were empty.
No, I do believe you are right, they sounded empty to me.. had that ringing bell after the hit... appreciate you watching
kickin tank cars seems a little dangerous to me. But they seem to know what they are doin
It's cool to watch, they run the locos remotely while pulling the couplers and hand throwing the tracks where they want them to go.. they sometimes hit a bit hard though, glad you liked it. Thanks for watching Joe...
74 is fantastic
Definitely the best looking of the bunch..
Definitely a cool thing to see, kicking cars. That’s gotta be hard on couplers though, some of them were pretty hard slams. Had the GP38 duo switching and 2 AC44CW’s, one of which a YN2. This is a great stop Pappy👍🏼😎🇺🇸
Yeah when you see broken couplers along the tracks always makes ya wonder if it was weekend from all the slamming. But that bang crash is always fun. Glad you enjoyed it Stretch, thanks for watching
Jeez, The CSX’s Are Smackers…😳
Yeah, love watching them when they do this.. glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching
Awesome action Pappy. Thanks for sharing.
For sure Eric, glad you enjoyed it. Hope your well and have a great weekend
Nothing like having a little fun with a BANG Pappy. Nice Video of putting together a Train.
Thanks Matt, yeah the bang at the end is cool, but some are pretty hard.
Pretty cool pappy. Man those tanks hit hard
Thanks Dave, yeah they definitely take a pounding. I love catching when they do this.. such a different thing to watch, I try not to get the conductor, they don't liked being filmed here.. glad you enjoyed it, always appreciate you watching
Nice kicking, show !! Still, they do hit as im watching, pretty hard... enjoyed 👍Darrell
Thanks Darrell, yeah I think some hit way to hard.. cool to watch though.. glad you enjoyed it, hope you have a great weekend 😀
Used to run into Parsons yard when I worked for the railroad
Thats Cool, then you got to see it all.. I only get the 2 ends. But I supose that's enough, appreciate you watching
@@TriGogglin yeah I seen alot when I was running into.parsins yard. Alot has changed since I was last there.
Wow Pappy that was really cool to see. Great stuff
Thank you Digger, so happy you enjoyed it.. its also very relaxing. Appreciate you watching
Great video Pappy. Brings back memories of working in CP Muskego Yard in Milwaukee Wisconsin where they would be doing this. When I was track inspector I would walk each track once a month and all of the sudden a huge bang when the cars would hit the other ones and boy that would get your attention. Have a to be fully alert when working in yards like this. Have a wonderful rest of your Friday.(Steve)
🤣🤣🤣 oh man, you'd jump out your skin.. thinking something blew up.. 🤣🤣 didn't think about that.. hope you have a great weekend
@@TriGogglin Yes indeed for sure. Thanks also you too.
Great watching the trains kicking
Thanks Dan, so happy you enjoyed this, it's always fun to watch, thanks for watching.
Oh nice catch, Pappy. Gotta have a dramatic music for the tanks. Would it explode upon impact or not. 😂. Is that parking for public?
It's just inside their property, I sit to the side, never stay long, I been approached several times asked what I was doing there, I explain, I'm a youtuber they usually say don't film me working, but have never been asked to leave. But I always try not to where out my welcome.. thanks for watching Drew
Great video Pappy. 🤸♂️🤸♀️❤️
Thank you Val, love sitting there relaxing, watching this.. hope you have a good weekend
The tank cars were kicked and coupled at just about the optimal speed; enough speed to get a good couple but not too fast which might damage the cars and the lading.
Definitely so fun to watch, love the bang, appreciate you watching..
No more than 4 to 5 mph per CSX rules
Fantastic catch on those kicked cars, Pappy.
Thank you, it's a welcome change in railfanning. And so relaxing.. appreciate you watching. Glad you enjoyed it.
Great catch Pappy, must have been your lucky day.
Thanks Art, I get lucky on this once in a while, appreciate you watching
Cool! Gives me an idea to do some kicking in HO scale. Could you not pick up these guys on your scanner? Thanks for sharing! Bill.
It's fun to watch, I don't have a scanner.. thought about getting one, but can't seen to pull the trigger in one.. glad you liked it Bill. Hope your weekend is good
@@TriGogglin Man as much real train stuff you do, it seems like a scanner would be pretty handy!
@@MyFingerLakesRailwayLayout yeah there are sometimes I wish I had one, but most times it's fun to see what surprises you get..
Great video! Love seeing the yard action.
Thank you, yeah some times just sitting at the yard watching them build trains is just down right relaxing. Glad you enjoyed it. Have a good weekend
Very cool video, we enjoyed it Pappy 😊
Thank you Tammy and Ray, a little something different than just the train running by, and I like the crash of the cars.. 🤣
awesome yard action Pappy!
Thanks Mystic, so glad you enjoyed it.. hope your weekend was good..
What is giving the cars a kick to get them started?
Kicking cars is a way to build trains with out a hump yard. Pull the coupler, move the train a bit and stop, the cars roll on their own and they trow the switch on what train they want it to go to. Then slam into them to stop. It's fun to watch.. thanks for watching
So how do they do it? Do they uncouple the train cars they want to be moved and switch the tracks before going into reverse then slow down and stop with the independent brake so the train cars keep moving on their own?
Yup you got it.. but it's done by remote control its pretty cool to see in person.. glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching
Are you in the hump yard pappy
No Thomas, they push and release here like a hump, but there's no hump, they call it kicking cars. It's cool to watch..
@@TriGogglin that’s cool
