R.I.P. Karl, thanks for the beautiful music and the great memories
All these songs make me feel 20 years old again and hopeful about the world, even if just for a few minutes. Thank you Karl, (and your buddy Mike Scott) for all,the songs and hope over the years.
😊👍
Rest in Peace, Sir. You will be greatly missed.
Such a great band. Such a brilliant musician and lyricist. Wrote such hauntingly beautiful songs with poignant lyrics about the fate of the world, environment etc. Rest well Mr. Wallinger. Taken far too soon.
One of the Greats, really.
This song is excellent. A true hidden gem
Saw World Party at the Santa Monica Civic Center in 1986, just love this.
World party was the best pop band since the beetles.
what a great little artistic piece. perfect the way it is.
So sorry to hear of Karl’s passing. He really was one of the best.
Wow, that voice. I just love that voice
Barely aged in 30 years.
I could not agree more
Thanks guys. Great memories of a fabulous song!
World Party busted the pop rock formula.... great songs
Unintentionally fellin love with the album “Goodbye Jumbo”. Great songwriter
Brilliant version.....10/10
So sad. So underrated. Gone so young.
And if you listen now
You might hear
A new sound coming in
As an old one disappears
See the world in just one grain of sand
You better take a closer look
Don't let it slip right thru your hand
Won't hou please hear the call
The world says
Chorus
Put the message in the box
Put the box into the car
Drive the car around the world
Until you get heard
Now is the moment
Please understand
The road is wide open
To the heart of every man
A few simple words
So a mule could understand
He don't want tomorrow
If it's just crumbling into sand
Won't please hear the call
She says
Chorus
Until you get heard
The world says
Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your love to me
Cos i'm waiting right here with my open arms
Give a little bit
Give a little bit of your soul to me
Cos i'm waiting to behold your many charms
Is that love in the air?
She says
Chorus
Until you get heard
Until you get heard
Until you get heard
Until you get heard
Beautiful. Rest easy, man.
Class always has been 👍
SO GOOD TO HEAR THIS SONG....
Eu concordo.

Brilliant.
Love this and World Party. There are few guitarists like Karl who play guitar left handed without changing the strings around, which mean they have to play chords upside down. As if it isn't hard enough. Well done Karl.
Still has his great voice.
Beautiful rendition.
Cya.
Thank you both!
Love it 😊
como me encantaba esa rolita y ahora para mi es un clasico
Temazo, World Party!!! great performance.!!!!
XOXO!!
RIP Mate
woah :o his voice is still really healthy compared to the other older version of the song, unlike Robert plant
Amazing how British guys sound American country when they sing. He sounds like Neil Young
You need to listen to some Neil Young 😂
King Karl!!!
right hand guitar strung for a left handed player. cool :]
He actually doesn’t restring it. Look closely. The thin strings are on top. From an interview: “I'm right-handed, but I play upside down like Bob Geldof or Jimi Hendrix. Eventually, I've gotten the hang of both again."
This is amazing...who is the violinist?
Wow
Why do you people some how spend your empty thoughts on why he plays left handed?. My God just listen to the music. Dick Dale? What the hell's is wrong with you?
This is kinda groovy!!!...:)O(:...
:)
Left handed guitars are hard to find. Just switch the nut around and your set.
FairPlay to violin man. Harmonies and fiddlin away.
All while wearing his nans curtains
Dick Dale invented the Calif surfer sound in the early 60's
Good thing he uses a cutaway-guitar so he can easily access the upper frets.
Nice Dylan sound though!
First message: ceasefire now; second message: end the genocide; third message: free Palestine.
Simply fantastic performance of a great song.
